At a certain point it was mentioned that you could see the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, I can assure you they are much too far away to see from that place. There are several mountain ranges in between, but it can be forgiven as you seem to be visiting from Italy! Thanks for sharing the journey, I enjoyed watching it.
For these long treks would you recommend a carbon gravel bike rather than a carbon road bike? Curious what wheel size you went with? And do you bring a heavy ulock or a typical light cable lock?
a tour like this can be done with any type of bike without any problems .With a gravel bike you are more comfortable anyway. When we ride with two people we never carry any locks. For the wheels on this trip I used Panaracer gravel king 700x42
