Great job Troy, I enjoy watching you create. Did you know that you can use the weld tool to get rid of all that over lap on the letters. Just use your shift key and pick each outside lines of the letters. Then go to the top tool bars and select weld. It should weld all the letters together. Don’t use your pick tool and select all or you inner lines (like in the e, a, f and l will disappear.
So ive finally got the space and after a year im to get my glowforge out and making things. Im just wondering do i need to get coreldraw 2021? I cant figure out how to do that with just glowforge. I know this is a long shot and hope to make it!! So i hope you see this and maybe give me some tips. Thanks so much and you make wonderful things, and i just want to as well!!! Thanks
I would suggest try Glowforge’s Print which has a cheaper monthly subscription than the cost for coreldraw. Glowforge Print is very beginner friendly in my opinion.
@@TroytheMaker oh awesome thank you for replying back to me i appreciate it so much and yes i will try that first. Cheaper is better!! Again thank you and i think you made the jewelry box for monthly thing for glowforge its amazing 👏
I am making name plates. 2 pieces of 3 mm acrylic. I have 2 rows of text. One for the name and the second row for the title. When I use the contour, it is not catching all of the bottom row. What should I do?
Hi! I convert to curves and then add the 10 steps with outside contour, and it doesn’t fill it how yours does. For me, it just thickens the outside border, like makes it “bold.” Do you have any advice on this or have an idea of what I’m doing wrong? Thank you SO much!
If your machine is having problems, you can never get any customer support. No matter what you try. Email leaving messages or even on social media. They just do not respond no matter if you need support for your machine or an order. They just do not respond.
@@TroytheMaker They finally responded today. My carriage went sideways yesterday. I tightened the belt. We are going to buy some spare belting to have on hand for when it breaks.
I've never thought about scoring so I'll know the correct placement of the word. That's smart.
My GlowForge was delivered two days ago! I took the plunge because of you. I just have to get my workspace together in my garage.

Buy some 3m double-sided adhesive tape. You don't have to glue it, and the process is easier and faster.
Thanks for the tip! Them solvent drops sometimes be deadly.
