Great video, thank you for your educational efforts.
I love the part abou tasting it for science. Love freeze dried banana s.
Super cool!
Quite interesting, thanks Brock!
That was very interesting thank you
We have one of these freeze dryers and love it. Thanks for sharing and hope to see more.
Those all look so yummy!
Excellent episode
Very cool 🥶
This video was awesome!
Loved the content and found it very interesting. Very generous of those nice people to give you/us a peak.
Thanks much!👍🏻
Nice overview, Brick - very informative!
Freeze drying does have a high cost of entry - but if you compare what it costs to make your own freeze dried food as compared to a commercial product like Mountain House, the break-even isn't all that far out. Add to that the fact that you control exactly what goes into the product, it surely makes sense to save up and buy a unit for yourself.
Like you pointed out, this is definitely the evolution of canning for food preservation!
Take care and God Bless.
I started freeze drying a couple years ago it’s expensive to start but I do prep for a long term and glad I have with the food prices and lack of food to come it’s easy to do just put your food in the trays and set it and walk away
You're like a kid in a candy store! Gotta say, that asparagus did look and sound good! Fun curve ball to your channel Brock!
Thanks
A LOT of people are interested in freeze drying. Thanks for content!
That’s so cool!!! She has a excited look on her face that she enjoys what she is doing and helping others. What a happy young lady and you did a great job of asking questions. ❤❤❤❤
Yeah, she was telling me she has a very boring numbers based job and this is her passion
I really enjoyed seeing how it worked
I never thought of freeze drying. This is awesome! Saving for my own prepping supplies. Thank you also to Jane for letting us see the possibilities!
Very cool. I have a large HR myself. One of these days I'll post a review on it.
A guy working at one of my company's customers in Joplin gave one of my coworkers a bag of Lemon Heads and Jolly Ranchers. It's like tasting the whole thing at once.
It is. Also, Joplin is my home area.

OK now you wet our whistle...how about showing the whole process including rehydrating the food? Thanks for putting this up!
Thanks for the video. I have been looking into one of these.
What is the drying time, for various types of foods?
I love the freeze dryed skittles
I love this idea! Sounds so good 😊
Broch, I have been looking at purchasing a freeze dryer. Super excited to see your content today. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Brock, thanks for sharing. Sounds like a good idea for people with TMJ (jaw pain) to enjoy things they can't chew anymore. 👍👍
Well, that was interesting! I could see preserving garden products with this. That's the main reason I don't have a garden, all the food becomes available at once. This could make garden fare available all year round! And no strange ingredients! Great video, Brock!
Thanks
Wow that is pretty neat. Machines are more than I would have thought but I guess they can pay for themselves in the long run.
Like the video like the review can't find the information on the freeze Drive store Jenna freeze dry I don't see it nowhere on Facebook
I just added it to the description. Here is a link to Jana’s freeze dried Facebook page

We've had a large freezer dryer for around a year now. Great tool. If you get one, read and follow the manual. Don't rely on videos to learn how to use it. Most of the problems I see in various owner groups come from video learning. These things have some major issues that often come from not following the directions precisely. Also, you need to be able to work on them yourself. Customer support isn't great and usually they refer the owner to a video explaining how to do a repair. Electronic/computer knowledge is helpful since the owner will be working on those sorts of problems.
We have been lucky I guess, our first machine is 3 years old now and all 4 of our machines run nearly nonstop. That first medium machine gave us a heating element error code once, replacing the relay circuit card has us up a running again. Other than a week or so wait for the replacement to show up, it took about an hour and was less than $100. Our large machines have all been flawless.
@@ibwaldo Apart from a ribbon cable coming loose in shipping ours has worked well, too. I belong to a couple FD groups and a lot of people have been having a lot of problems, predominantly with software and updates. A lot of the problems I'm seeing with others is that they haven't read the supplied manual and instead used faulty info from videos. I've been amazed at how many times I see problems that are clearly addressed in the book causing all sorts of issues. Your product looks good, by the way. There's someone in the next town over from us doing the same sort of business with the candy. Overall, I'm glad we bought our FD. It has really cut down on the hours we spend putting up the food from the garden.
Just bought a medium freeze dryer at tractor supply, priced about 2,600. Got it scratch n dent for $700 off.
Good deal
I think you did this segment just so you would have an excuse to sample all the freeze-dried stuff! 😆 Can't say I blame you!
Brock......That was interesting . Did that asparagas really taste good , or were you trying to be kind ?
pc
It was about 8 PM and I had not eaten much of anything all day and I couldn’t get enough of it.
I didn’t like it quite as well today.
The carrots, and the corn, and all of that stuff tasted pretty good as a snack, even though it’s really designed to be rehydrated and eaten that way
I wanna be freeze dried
Another great video Brock with very good content. I subscribe to a master gardeners channel "Gardner Scott" and he recently purchased a Harvest Right. Those things are awesome! I have always canned and hope to get a freeze dryer at some point. The best way to preserve food.
Can't find Jenna freeze dry I don't see the description in your

We've been freeze drying for about a year now and have done candy many times for kids and grandkids. Just today we finished 4 pans of candy, skittles, gullies- all things we had done before. BUT something happened we have never seen. On all 4 trays, only the front have freeze dried. The rear half of all 4 trays were the same as when we put them I! Has anyone ever experienced this? Any idea what may have caused it?
