What a killah vid Shea!!! Action start to finish. That was coming in clutch at the end for a last shibi! Amazing though to get 2 out of 3 fish on the dead bait 🤙🤙
Just found your channel... I really enjoy the catch footage, especially the underwater trolling cam. Some of those species (tuna / wahoo) strike so fast! They're all still bucket list species for me as a NC kayak fisherman, lol... Tight lines!
Thanks and glad folks still enjoying the content! I really love using that troll cam even though it does seem to reduce strikes the footage can be crazy sometimes. Stay bent over there 🤙🤙🤙
Wow, such a cool video Shea!! That Gofish cam action came out unreal!! Watching them come up on the bait is so good!! That debris was producing some bites haha! What it is hard to see is that first we had super heavy rain and then the wind got so strong it was white capping the chop and breaking into our kayaks, and there was some solid swell in the water too. Made for an interesting ride in, and of course while navigating the difficult weather and waves, Shea finds a bait school and within a couple mins of getting that bait gets a nice shibi!
Thanks man! Was about as bad as it can be while still being somewhat safe. Maybe get some outriggers for rough days for that outback! You garrens would have hooked one if you were running bait!
Thanks! I use the Hobie XL fish bag. It's kinda pricey but had lasted a couple years and still going strong. It doesn't fit the longer fish like big Ono and Mahimahi so well though. Too short.
Yeah GoFish needs to have a record button on the outside of the case so you don't have to touch the internals with salt water dripping hands but good underwater footage captured. Guess the GoFish cam acts as a mahi attractant! Nice catches!
Aloha, great channel, just came across it today. Would it be possible to show your live bait rig when you have time, the process of making it? I liked your deep drop and sabiki rig videos, great information, thank you for sharing... BIG MAHALOS!
Can I fly out to the island and get a bed and breakfast somewhere for a week to fish with you? I do offshore kayaking here in south east Florida and would love to get on some big yellowfins with you dude. I’ll definitely pay you for your time dude🤙
Yeah some days I swear no matter if the baits alive or dead. Mahis and onos seem to be the most common catches, maybe cuz they cruise near the surface. I have some rigs with an egg lead clamped to the front hook and it looks nice but then it's a hassle to re rig once I get livies so they mainly stay in the tackle box.
Gofish cam for the win!!! Awesome footage and great vid bro!!!! Dope story telling and sequencing too 🎉
Thanks braddah! Once in a blue moon these things pick up some good footage 😂
@@AffordableWahoo yeah, I got like endless minutes of just blue footage 😂😂😂😂

Thanks Jeremy 🤙🤙 So rare for dead bait to produce like that. The fish were really fired up.

Dude, that was great underwater video footage of Mahi.
Thanks! Was stoked to finally get something other than shark or needlefish 😂
Nice fish cam view! 🤙🏼

Agreed. I heard there's gonna be a model that has a magnetic twist on/off switch so that's something to look for. Thanks Scott 🤙🤙🤙

Do you mean the wire rig setup? I also have videos for the stainless steel and titanium wire rigs.
Thanks for the great footage. About how deep you fishing? Keep em coming

Dead bait get action! You ever try running a weight on the stinger to minimize the spiraling?

Where do you guys launch from by Richardsons
Mostly from Puhi Bay side and paddle over. Richardsons side is a pain super rocky and get breaking waves sometimes but can be done
