    Thanks Mark you saved my bacon , if I would have known this before buying one I would have gone with Givi set up.
    What’s peed me off my bike had no extra lock barrels so I’ve had to shell out another £50 on bloody locks.
    Great video mate helped us 100%

    I always really need a back box when I’ve left it at home! 😑
    Having a rack and some bungees is a MUST for me. Love bungee cords.
    I think you secretly enjoyed fitting that plate. 😂

    Had those Triumph panniers and top box on my previous Tiger 800, strong items but really heavy compared to something from Givi or Shad. Wife and I tour on a Street Triple and a Yam MT10. Didn't want to fit too boxes to them because they look awful on the bike but in the end we had Givi boxes on both bikes (examples way back on my channel) They are so useful when touring to keep valuables locked away and to keep dry. Boxes sit in the garage unless we are touring but keep the rack and base plates in place.

    Helpful [thumbsup] Back-box on a Tiger 800? YES but the Expedition NOT the Adventure (fugly and way too heavy)...........................imo LOL

    Hi, do you know how to change lock in this top box? I was looking everywhere 😂

    The Givi is much prettier and easier to fit than the Triumph box. Interesting vid

      Agree and you get more in them but it came with it
      But have to say triumph ones are better built!

    Well Mark looks like your all set to start the pizza delivery service. Lol. Don’t know if it’s the camera but that box looks bloody huge.

      pmsl, it is tall and guess as its only a slim bike it makes it look taller but still handy for the helmet to fit in , thanks for watching

    I fitted the Rack for a top case on my BMW f800gs the OEM rack and box. Seemed to go a lot easier than this. Think the tools under the seat was all I needed.

    • @marksavage

      This was a OEM rack just a lot bloody harder to fit lol

      @@marksavage I looked at both bikes in 2014. Bought the F800gs looks like I made the right choice after all I've seen over the last 6 years. I went to triumph first but the guys at BMW managed to sell me a bike.

    A back box is very practical and my wife likes the security of it. I prefer the look of any bike without them though 😱

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  5 років тому +1

      I am the same to be fair Steve
      I love being able to just pop items in there or out on a ride to be able to stick all the bike gear in the luggage but it does rather ruin the look

    Great video but I need some advise, I got a speedfight 2 and it's unrestricted. I got the original exhaust but it's battered and rather quite ugly. If I replaced the exhaust would it interfere with the running of the bike/speed? Thanks

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  5 років тому +1

      It’s the best thing you can do to them
      It will run better and happier and really normal tuning needed
      Fresh plug and airfilter will also help
      I have 70 speedfight videos to help and watch videos n my channel

    Hi mate I have a problem with my Peugeot speedfight 2 50cc it only works if I kick start it and pull throttle at same time and then will cut out unless I have it on full revs, it also doesn’t sound healthy at all I have replaced piston rings, spark plug, fuses, carb and fuel filter still doesn’t work what do you recommend

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  5 років тому

      this is common on old speedfights bud
      you only replace the piston rings and not the new piston?, I would have replace both due to wear
      so new spark plug and air filter?
      new carb? is this with a Peugeot carb or a Chinese one as they are not as good and have tuning problem as the air screw has to be all the way in and not 3 half as in my videos
      to be honest I use a speedfight one and clean and tune it like in my videos as I do have 70 speedfight videos on my channel to watch and this does sound to me piston wear and carb problems
      did you check the stator coil? they often need a clean or changing , what is you spark like nice strong and blue?

    Got the same bike,same exhaust....do you find it melts the number plates?...I`ve been through loads and trying to find a solution.

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  3 роки тому

      Yes and yes !
      I've double sided tape aluminium foil to the rear of the plate so it didn't get so hot
      I did this after the first plate melted lol
      The new one I also move it over and put on a 8 by 6 plate
      Worked OK bud

    I just purchased one of these and it is quite heavy. Are the aftermarket top boxes with hardware anywhere near this heavy?

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  3 роки тому

      i agree the weigh a lot but don't notice it once on the bike , the aftermarket ones are much lighter and cheaper lol

    Why the box has to slide side to side slightly. Can someone explain?

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  5 років тому

      triumph made all there luggage with this extra little movement and it is annoying but they say it helps with wind and movement control.
      if you go on there wed site they do explain more about it but I dont like it but its never made me come off so it must work lol
      thanks for watching I do have a few more videos on triumphs you might lie to watch

    How much roughly will it cost in the uk for a 50cc moped but I don’t care what make cause I’m turning 16 soon and I only want a starter bike?

    • @liam-lh2nm
      @liam-lh2nm 5 років тому

      M1tch K1ssack twist and go peds are cheap roughly 300+ and there insurance is 300+ usually I have a geared 50 and they are a little more

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  5 років тому +1

      for a 2nd hand moped £250 to £700 should get you on the road but and there is a but, it comes down to you get what you pay for!
      4t or 2t ? if you have a little know how on them all is ok or watch my videos there are over 400 and 150 om mopeds like the speedfights aeroxs dna's and other Chinese mopeds that should help
      then you have insurance any thing for £450 to £1000 to were you live , tax is only £18

    Nice bike Mark, has the ST1300 gone?

    • @marksavage
      @marksavage  5 років тому +1

      replace it with this, as you may know i've not got the best of knees now and am finding heavy big bikes much harder to move and worry about stopping and falling over if my leg gave way ( not fun getting old lol)
      so ive gone and got a tiger again which is a light bike that will still commute to work and the old day out with the wife
      thanks for watching
