Even through a bit of a language barrier, you can tell Kinson is a genuine guy who appreciates his customers. Johnnie also coming with excellent questions as always.
In spite if the appearance, my experience with Z-cam has not been great… Their team has been throwing the ball around and has been a serious waste of time in the end.
I've been shooting on another brand for a while now at work, and decided to buy a second hand E2 M4 some time ago for my personal projects. I won't lie - it isn't a perfect experience, but it has this in common with other cameras. But what it is is an absolute delight to shoot with. Portable, reliable, really solid picture quality, great battery life, and in the M4's case at least, a large selection of affordable glass. I even like ZRAW! And from what I see with Kinson is a real passion for what he does. And it shows in the products too. Big fan. I don't need to upgrade, but the F6 is tempting... Can't wait to see what the company comes out with in the future.
Still love my E2 M4. For 1850 euros, I can shoot C4K in 120p 422 prores 10 bit internal. And prores raw 12 bit with my upcoming ninja V+. Great value for money. And iso 51200 under a full moon with internal NR looks really good.
Very excited about this camera. I've always loved the form factor, price, and image coming out of Z-Cams, but hated the tiny built in screen and need to find alternative mounting options for an external monitor. With the included monitor, Z-Cam is really stepping up their game! I hope there will be some good improvements to Z-Raw as well so it can become a truly functional raw codec.
so many important questions left out like: How high can the frames reach in BRAW? or is there going to be BRAW? he talks about 6k 60fps but is it full frame 6k 60fps? And if BRAW is external, can customers buy the 6k pro without the zcam monitor?(that way customers have extra money to buy 12g Blackmagic assit monitor) also if your not using pro res or braw can the camera shoot 422 10bit unlike the old zcam 6k 420 10bit? and also is there built ND Filters? good video but I felt there was some important questions out.
From what I gathered, all the recording formats from the original F6 are identical in the pro. So 6K 60 is in 2:39:1 but full frame width. as mentioned in my previous comments BRaw was already announced to come to all the Zcams. If the outputs on B&H are true, the max resolution and frame rate output in BRaw will be 4K60 weather it's HDMI or SDI (12g SDIs and HDMI 2.0 max out at 4K60p). So it's likely the external recording will be S35 Crop. In terms of ND filters, again it's using the same Mount system, no native built in NDs but you can use the original electronic ND that you could use in the other cameras (EF and PL mount only).
Agreed, always great to see Kinson but I was surprised Johnny didn't get to the new stuff more quickly. No mention of timecode or genlock either, some of the key things people have been asking for. The current f6 can do 6k prores 422 10 bit - ever since firmware 0.98 I think, maybe earlier, so the Pro version certainly should.
Great interview, just bought the camera from CVP. Can you give me the details of the Nitze camera cage, side handles etc used in this video? I’m UK based AND cannot find them anywhere. THANK YOU.
Still no sign of the camera though? Obviously lockdowns in China have played a role but you'd think interested customers would be update with further release dates.
Hmm. The camera will have Cfast and a mystery internal recording media?? Sounds sketchy. Is this mystery recording media going to be proprietary...or what? I'd rather know what this mystery media is before considering buying this camera. I need more information.
There are a lot of people talking in this video and little filming of the camera itself. But having heard the price of the camera $3999, I decided not to sell my 4K pocket yet.
THE biggest issue of the other zcams imo wasnt lack of ports but their IQ….the dynamic range was absolute trash for something that calls itself a „cinema camera“. So not having a new sensor just blows my mind…
You know the sensor in the ZCam F6 is the same Sony sensor that’s in the S1H which has great dynamic range. Also the Zcam were used alot in the latest mission impossible movie. The issue isn’t the sensor it’s the processor. Now there’s no word on if the processor is different. But some people have mentioned to me that the processor might be different in the pro. But it’s a wait and see
What are you talking about? Maybe on the smaller/older models, but the F6 had fantastic dynamic range. It’s been shown off next to the Arri Alexa and looks almost identical.
Hi Johnnie!! Kinson added everything I asked him to at cinegear2019! (I know I wasn't the only one, in fact, every DP asked for SDI ports, not just me:) What lens is that? I love the image from the F6, can't wait to try the F6Pro with new features! Thanks Kinson and ZCam fam!

@@yuan-jia How so? Can you explain? Most people have had great experiences
Kinson, is a real genuine guy, constantly innovating!! Terrific interview
Also not mentioned in this was that this camera along with the other E2 cameras will support BRaw via a BM VA 12g
WHAT, did they say they will support it???

I would like to know if you can use existing E2 lens mounts on this Pro version, particularly the Viltrox E-mount
Yes you can

I like Leica M lenses too, so beautiful
Will we see M4 S6 F8 PRO versions?
How is the Z raw?
Looks great! Does it have a dual native iso?
Dual native - yes sir! 400 and 2500 I believe.
Still no sign of the camera though? Obviously lockdowns in China have played a role but you'd think interested customers would be update with further release dates.
They just started mass production for the camera this week
We zcam E2 users need you to upgrade MF assist capability such as canon or sony.instead of a new camera🙏

no autofocus no deal
Autofocus in the production environment Is not used, let the mirrorles keep this feature

I don't think this is a camera for autofocus users. This is more for focus puller productions.
