I don't know, 2k22 has been exceptional so far and 2k19 was fun as well. So i would say the older games are better than 2k's '15 to '18 and '20

It's quite ironic how by SVR07 the series were still arcade-ish, yet the modern crappy 2K games can't do something like this, why? Laziness. People who say modern games are "good" must be blind or something.
@@al112v4 The modern games are good if you like simulations. The old games are arcade, the new ones are simulations. They are played differently as a result.

Although it is way harder when you use a created superstar HCTP because you've to build their status. I absolutely love to do it in fact in every WWE 2k game that I've played, I've always used my created characters way more than the actual characters on the game because I just love to create superstars.

If you were a low overall CAW on HCTP you might not get booked for months.
Maybe, but if you won enough you could get a Cruiserweight or Hardcore title opportunity or could even go for the tag belts early on
I once made a bad mistake and ended up wrestling Big Show and A-Train in HCTP, I kept restarting my Emulator and trying to beat them in the Parking area

I like that detail where a super heavyweight taunts you when you punch them that probably scared some people when they first played the game which would be even worse if they where playing with a friend who is playing as the super heavyweight

In SvR 2006, you can purposely lose the triple threat match for a royal rumble spot and be the number two entrant. Skip the royal rumble match and you’ll automatically win every single time.

I don't know if that qualifies as a WWE game, but in WWF No Mercy, when you won some title, APA will approach you and offer their services for money. If you'll pay, next show they will shield you from Jeff Hardy's demand for a title match, but if you refuse to pay, you will have a 2 on 1 backstage brawl, that almost impossible to win due to a ridiculous stamina for both of them and crappy focus change.

And i thought i was the only one who who was crazy here when i couldn't beat HHH in WM19 and just kept on getting more and more frustrated to the point of beating up my GameCube by punching the top of it because i was sick of HHH reversing my moves and yet i can hardly reverse him. This is basically my anger issues here in one video.
I completely forgot until I saw Austin Creed play HCTP over on UpUpDownDown, but HCTP actually has weight detection to a degree. A Cruiserweight/Light Heavyweight can't lift a Super Heavyweight.
Here's a fun one. Fight the undertaker in 2011 vs undertaker storyline on legend at wrestlemania. Keep in mind in RTWM undertaker will have more attack, defense, and taunts grant him more momentum. Oh and do this with no upgrades for yourself it's really hard but if you can pull it off it feels like you actually beat the undertaker at wrestlemania

Long story short, 3 matches and about an hour and a half later I needed to go buy a new controller.

The fist thing I did when I played HCTP was make Sephiroth, grinded him all the way up from that 42 to 100, it was hard going at the start but a lot of fun and quite rewarding when it was over.

No Mercy and Here Comes the Pain were earliest two games with Weight Detection. No Mercy being the first. Here Comes the Pain being second. It would be a thing in the SVR series as well starting with 05. 06 also had it. So did 07. However, when it comes implementing opponents being impervious to strikes, 07 was the first. No Mercy also had it but this would only occur if you tried to body slam or back drop someone like Rikishi, Viscera, Mark Henry, or Andre the Giant. However, if your successful, you get a boost in your attitude meter, if not, you’re opponent would get a boost in their meter.
HCTP had it because in some instances of a cruiserweight or light heavyweight tried to pick up (Suplex, Powerbomb, etc.) someone like Undertaker, Kane or Big Show they wouldn’t be able too.
The First SVR game had a challenge in Challenge Mode named “David vs Goliath” where you had to defeat Andre the Giant with Rey Mysterio. Their weights are shown in Create-A-Stable Mode and would later be shown in 06 when selecting a Superstar for a match, stable, etc.
What I learned in HCTP is that if you run into Brock Lesnar or Goldberg backstage... run the other way. You're gonna get your ass kicked if you talk to them.

I miss being able to do more then just finishers to brake the announcers table laying your opponent out on it then climbing a ladder was always an epic combo

Smackdown Here Comes The Pain was the first game with weight detection.
In SYM and HCTP story mode durning a match that has original rules (meaning DQ on) you can a weapon; now do not use it let the opponent take it from you, they will use it and you will win by DQ automatically.
I used to fight the APA all the time in WWF No Mercy's Hardcore title story.

06 rumble can also been done by hitting skip match and you either win or play the shorter match
Personally I think fighting the undertaker in smack down vs raw 2011 in Road to Wrestlemania at Wrestlemania on legend is a tough challenge cause he can stun you in one hit from a normal punch, builds momentum like no one else, has better durability than a standard match with him, and his grannies hit harder, now you can upgrade yourself as well in that game to get to that level of power you need to grind backstage brawls and you can’t repeat the same fights to get more points to upgrade yourself

I first saw & heard of this option while checking things out in 'WWE 2K14' & I had literally never heard of it until then.
Ive got 2 in day of reckoing depending on the brand you choose to be called up to your first match welcoming you to the brand is Big show or ric flair they are given super high counter rate and increased damage output making it a impossible match to win on purpose. Then in day of recoking 2 you are put into a escape only fatal 4 way cage match without glitches is the hardest match in the game

When you create a custom title and have to choose to vacate either that one or the intercontinental title.
If you vacate the IC title you are forced to defend your custom title every week in the custom match rules you set. It's worse if you set ladder match for the title defence

Protection if you say no they attack you and then you have to do a handicap match against the APA in the Boiler Room it's beatable but way easier just to pay them
Weight detection was on the day of reckoning games as well. Also the 10th time should have been on no mercy when you can refuse protection from the APA on hardcore championship

Thisgengaming, I played as a created superstar in a exhibition mode royal rumble match with 30 men and won it from #1. The final four were me, one of the Basham brothers, Kurt Angle, and Bret Hart. I last eliminated Bret Hart to win it all. It was to complete a challenge where you would need to eliminate 10 opponents in a single royal rumble match.
And for those people who think I am joking, WROOOOOOONG!!!!

After grinding through the whole game legit in svr 2007 , my dad decided to cheat and use the second controller as the opponent and use a running clothesline and pin them... I was so annoyed because I battled through injuries and all for my wins and my title shots and he just took the cheap way out
And the sad thing is I was 12 and I was still better than him at the game
