Donell Mason 2k19 is awesome (I still enjoy booking my own shows and shit much more than what Vince has put out this year) but universe mode really is just an average gm mode. The old svr games had them story mode wich were soo good (like the one where Teddy Long got run over. I was shocked as a kid when I found out it was us the player who did that)
Yeah, like that whole ECW comeback storyline. I was shocked when I found out it existed and wanted to learn how to do it, cause I already did the Smackdown story as RVD conveniently enough
That interference in universe mode goes two ways. I'll never forget jumping the champion. It works just like in WWE, you jump the champ, you're in a rivalry with him. I went from being bottom of the IC title scene to number one contender for the WWE title in a few weeks lol.

Don't forget about the non-violence treaty in SmackDown Here Comes The Pain. If you pretend to sign it, you can attack your rival after the segment and drop your rival's grapefruits on the barricade after his match the next week.
I feel like I can top this, SmackDown vs Raw 2007, I was playing as The Undertaker, eventually get a title opportunity during the story against Randy Orton (who was World Heavyweight Champion) and Jillian, Teddy Long gives me the choice of what match stipulation I want, I pick mixed tag match with Melina against Orton and Jillian, doesn't make any sense but I take it. Turns out the match was more intergender tag than mixed tag, Orton tags in Jillian, I don't have to tag out, and when you consider stats well you see where this is going... So TL;DR, I won the World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton because Undertaker pinned Jillian...
Another smart choice and this is for those who play as good guys in WWE2K18 if you finish the NXT chapter of MYCareer mode as a face aka one I didn't know about until much much later you will be offered by Triple H a contract to be a superstar on RAW don't take it cause if you do you'll essentially be put into forced loss matches and this will keep happening until you get tired of being a jobber and decide to suggest to Triple H how about letting you win a match and of course Triple H makes it clear that if you win your match you'll be fired and guess what you win your match against Braun Strowman and are subsequently fired from RAW and hired on to the Smackdown Roster by then Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan however after a feud against Dolph Ziggler which culminates in a match between you two at Over the Limit, you'll then be put into a RVS storyline in which you and Daniel Bryan take on the heel faction of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Vince McMahon and this storyline starts because Triple H, Stephanie, and Vince don't like the idea of as they put it "trash" actually being successful and oh boy do they not let up cause their first punishment for you put into a six-man over-the-top battle royal, followed up by a another match with Dolph Ziggler who wrongfully accuses you of being a coward and as he puts it "winning the battle royal by doing nothing and taking an easy cowardly victory" and after beating Dolph for the fourth time, on the following Smackdown Vince will then remind everyone the Royal Rumble PPV is coming up and states he was going to not let you compete in the Royal Rumble match but decides to give the fans what they want and let you compete in it however there's a catch in order to get a spot in the Royal Rumble match you have to win a 3v1 handicap match with your opponents being John Cena, and the Uso Brothers and has the match start immediately, and after winning that test of endurance, you get a spot in the Royal Rumble match and to try and screw you over even further the heel trio has you enter at the Number 1 Spot and just when it seems like you're about to do what Shawn Micheals did and win the entire match despite entering at Number 1, you'll discover that the number 30 entry is your ally during the early feud against Dolph The Rock who promptly betrays you and eliminates you after hitting you with a low blow, this ultimately leads into a tag-team match at Wrestlemania where you and Daniel Bryan take on the team of Triple H, and Vince McMahon, and of course Triple H, and Vince use every dirty trick they can think of to try and ensure you, and Daniel lose because in order for the tag-team match to happen you, and Daniel are forced to accept the match stipulation of if you two lose your both fired from WWE. There's a third way to play Universe mode, the way I like to do it. Let the game book the shows and play every match.
