Holy crap!!!! I was watching this with my jaw on the floor the whole time. My brain would be like well “what if I wanted to do this...” then you would show how exactly to do it lol. This is a game changer so much more flexible and easier to work with than just the piano roll as well! Thanks for this video I’m on my way to work now and just want to turn around and go lock myself in the studio lol
I use this all the time and never found the Tie feature; really appreciate you and everybody taking time to make these free guides! Never stop learning people! 🎉😃
the piano roll in logic needs a scale highlight like fl and studio one, wondering why it's taken so long. bring all the step sequencer features to piano roll, logic developers
Totally agree. There are ways to do it in the piano roll but takes some setting up. Would be awesome if they could implement some fl piano workflows into the Logic one
In Logic Piano Roll, if you use a brush tool and choose a scale of your choice. The brush tool will only click notes in that scale you chose. If you try to click I note not in the scale it will chose the next closest note
I tried to implement this into my workflow when the update first came out and never really got into it! The piano roll with scale quantize is just better imo
Holy S&$%!! I've been using Logic for 3 years and had NO IDEA you could do this .. wow .. this takes production to a whole new level .. wowsir for sure!!!
5:40 This is a problem people will encounter not knowing music theory. I think it's safe to say that melody doesn't really work. That doesn't work too well because the melody you input is definitely a major melody, the notes you have entered are all in C major and playing a melody using the route, second and major third of a c major chord (non of which are in the chord you're playing over). You should want to aim for or lead to the notes of the chords you're playing or it's going to sound disjointed. If you want to break the rules, usually you'd use leading tones or rhythm changes that aren't going to work in a step sequencer. I don't think everyone should need to go too far, but some theory is needed. The amount of waflle I hear called "sauce" but is actually just basic music theory is funny.
More I play with the sequencer more I realize how clumsy and cumbersome it is. They had the right idea but constantly clicking to change parameters is tedious.

@@imamusicmogul it would be cool if other daw's (->Ableton!) implement fl piano roll workflows.
It’s Apple. I’m sure they will.
Thanks, this is helpful in building out my skills with Step Sequencer, although the most interesting part is the brief tour of your sound library 😂
It's over with, appreciate this bro frfr 🔥Kinda like having Gross Beat when you note repeat

Yes that is correct. You can also hide the unused notes as well. Just trying to show another way to program chords and melodies easily
@@imamusicmogul How do you hide the unused notes, can you do a tutorial showing both of these??
This just solved my issues with beat block and helped my lack of knowledge with music theory... WHAT A GENIUS. Bless you bro🔥🔥
It's a first channel on UA-cam, that I watch regular in English, thank you!😁 Very useful content
more tips on improving workflow, new tricks/gems, etc in logic pro 10.5 are always welcome bro! Great stuff
I tried to implement this into my workflow when the update first came out and never really got into it! The piano roll with scale quantize is just better imo
I feel you
Logic is securing the goat title in real time!!!✅😯
Not so fast, FL Studio still king.
John Black for now!
@@iamjohnblack lmao Fl Studio has never been the king guy.
you just made my logic experience so much better. thanks dude!
Happy to help 💯

Adam delivers once again! My guy!
🙏
You are my mentor in creating music. I love you!
🙏🙏🙏
Holy S&$%!! I've been using Logic for 3 years and had NO IDEA you could do this .. wow .. this takes production to a whole new level .. wowsir for sure!!!
it is a new feature in 10.5
Easily the coolest tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you so much!
Your welcome 👏👏👏
Logic Pro x finally listening to us it seems ... respect Adam for the gems 💎

this is the video ive been waiting for thanks!
So good! Thanks mate!
Just got logic im super excited about all the new stuff.
Thanks ,good to know !
Always with the logic gems 🙏🏾 Thank you!
Your welcome 🙏
Adam! Thank you
You always have our back😁
🤙
deselecting the green Midi Out button makes it so you don't hear the note or sample as you put it in the sequencer :)
very nice, hey what are those sounds from?
they should make the tie in the step work more better or use just a drag in or out feature in the step
That would be helpful
Totally. So much more too they could have done to make it easier.
love the step sequencer
too hectic, can someone tell logic developers to add these scale features to the piano roll like studio one, fl cubase etc
It doesnt need it he just showed you the feature to be in key no more what key of the song already
It’s not needed anymore they have a tab for the key input ..Super streamlined
This isn’t hectic at all lmao. This is the future of production.
Do you have a video explaining how you get “drake piano” etc in the sound library?
I was checking out your website which was dope af by the way how did you make it
@iammusicmogul you are a genius bro! This melody is fire 🔥
Those presets are 🔥
💯💯💯
I did not know you can change the scale. Thank You!
Your welcome 😉
The goats of ALL goats. ADAM
🙏🙏🙏
Yoo when are you gonna update those sampler instruments im really tryna get all those sounds😮
Working on a new one 😉
nice video man keep it up!!!
Yo this is so lit!!!
Just changed everything man. I didn’t even know you could do this with instruments... thought it was just for drums lmao
I'm a musician but definitely new to DAW...and what you just showed me was a game changer. LOL! Yikes!
Damn, you are really here to help, much appreciated.
@imamusicmogul
This was a great video also when I click on the hide/show pattern browser there is nothing there. What should I do? Thanks in advance
My brother can you drop a video on mixing beats
Is there a better advantage of using the step sequencer over the piano roll. Especially for someone that doesn’t know music theory?
It’s just a quicker way to set a scale and program in my opinion
@@imamusicmogul thanks ill give it a try.
where can i find those presets you used in the transpose section of the video
All of those are stock presets from logic??? How do I get them? 🔥
What remakes are coming up? Please do Kanye West - Touch The Sky
Can you do a 808 Bass line with this method instead of doing it in piano roll?
Yes you can. Drag your 808 sample into a Quick Sampler and create pattern region and follow the same steps
Could you do a recreation from stuck with you by Ariana Grande feat. Justin Bieber ?
a video tutorial on layering dark layered sounds using omnisphere 808 maifia type
Chicago Freestyle remake please!
Great vid though!
Added to the list
Can you do a tutorial on any of Tekashi's songs?

would"nt it be better to do the melody on a new track?
Hmm. Great start but the step sequencer seems to stop after a few bars and won't let me go farther?? What's going on?
could you also change it from 16 steps to 4 steps on the top right of the step sequencer for longer chords? or does that affect anything?
You can set it to allow more steps either this way it extends the length of the pattern
Hey, do you think you can do a video on how to make the song
Joji- Gimme Love 😁
Thanks Bro You Inspirer me
🙏🙏🙏
Hey could you remake recap by nav please
So helpful. Didnt know these features even existed.
Also try to recreate Juicy by Doja Cat!
muito bom
Wow
Logic eats Fl’s step sequencer
😂🤣😂
🔥🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥
sorry for whing dope tutorials
GarageBand sounds in logic
Anyone actually making their melodies this way ? Ive made like 1

Compared to what?
@@foljs5858 compared to every other daw on the maket
logic remote

Got a track in mind?
Something from bts or "twice"))
