@@BonnyJohn Absolutely love the design for Claustrap. When I saw the shiny for it, I immediately thought of the Chesto Berry since it has slightly similar shape to the Pecha berry. I'm no graphic artist, but maybe give the lower body a bit of light yellow to reflect that and I think it would look great and keep the same concept as the original?
Idea- Pokémon telephone One artist draws a fakemon, describes it and shows it but doesn’t give the picture, and repeat a couple of times. Hopefully the result would be very different than the start and all the revisions make it vastly better. It would be better with more artists
it's insane how i was thinking "oh this design is pretty good" and then when the concept art hits i'm like "I now love this mon and want one on my team immediately!" for each and every one they showed with concept art xD

the spider is a type of regional form, a classification for like it type didn't change or keep most of it's but combine new parts to it, it's like combine classic and new into one a remixed version or regional form of a regional form without classic part to it

Ron was underselling himself so hard but I was immediately astounded by antillery's redesign... It's so dynamic and fucking awesome, it really shows how much he's improved
the 4 artists series is already so friendly and everyone lifting each other up and complimenting each others art and creativity but this video REALLY nailed in that kindness in the critiques, there wasn't a shred of animosity in any of the explanations of what ppl didn't like or wanted to change, everyone was so sweet to each other and even the new artwork was obsessed over even by the original fakemon creator. i don't think i heard a single person disappointed with what happened to their fakemon, it's so cool to see this sort of positivity between artists!!
Trapptop being 4 times weak to Bug is even more funny when you learn about one of the more famous stories for how the termm Bug for Computers came around Long story short one of the OG, massive (room sized iirc) computers that was being worked on had a technical issue the engineers could not figure out - until they looked under the hood (metaphorically) and saw a Moth trapped in its guts - when the moth was removed, the problem resolved itself and it was logged as a "Bug" Trapptop probably heavily fears bug types. . .
6:20 the fact that even the Pokémon trapped in Oppressum's Furr in the Shiny version are also Shiny is impressive. Like, does it go out of it's way to only hunt Shiny's? It's a PokeTuber! 😂
Ron's reinterpretation of Antillery could be the pre-evolution to DeadBedSpread's reinterpretation of Antillery and I think that's beautiful. Bullant could just stay the prevo of both, as a 3 stage pokemon, with bullet and grenade formes for Bullant.
That is a true, a railgun would feel like the extra design that would befit the power of a Mega a Pokémon. Heck, it would also work in canon, talking about railguns in Gen 6 games and the painful fused arms in Gen 7 games.
Ron’s Kintorai feels very much like Magnum Ice Cream. That is, if they had to make a majestic tiger that represented the luxurious feeling of Magnum Ice Cream, that would be it.
13:05 Trapptop is the best redesign fakemon ever😶🌫️. Even Pokemon can use it as a reference for digital type in future. The concept of using the headphone as arms and design of eyes are really great
All of these redesigns were so good! Standouts for me are: -BOTH Antillary forms. They were both so clever! The first one could honestly be Steel/Electric as a variant, as the arms look like booster cables. The second one had such an amazing colour scheme! -Beaconduct. This redesign really brought it to life! -Insullama. What an adorable, derpy little friend. I want one! -Elktic. If this were a true grass starter, I'd be obsessed! Amazing concept! Amazing colours! I'd vote for Grass/Rock for typing. It goes better with the ancient runes concept.
DeadBedSpread art has upgraded so much since the last time I saw him on the channel! Bonny John's too, his art looks more cartoony rather than Sugimori-like but I like it and Reoma honestly came to play, he really made a great impression, so excited to see more of him in the future!!!
I /love/ this concept! I think you should absolutely do more of these - it's so fun to see different takes on these concepts, and very educational to hear the critiques of the designs.
26:22 I would love to see reoma tackle that bug line again with everything he knows now. I loved that line and would love for it to be in a pokemon game. So seeing it updated would bring me so much joy. There needs to be more ant pokemon.
I don't rememeber if it was said in the original four artists video where we first saw Kintorai, but I like to imagine that it has a similar mechanic to Spinda where its patterns vary vastly from one Kintorai to another. Maybe there comes a percieved value in Kintorai with very consistent thickness in the gold, or even the symmetry of its pattern like in Bonny's original design
Ron this is probably the best art you've ever done techinically, the effort ypu put into the anatomy and rendering shows so hard, it looks a step above your normal fakemon,it's so damn good

I feel everybody redesigning Antillary shows how good of a concept and design the original had that everyone wanted to take it and improve upon it and update the design. All the redesigns for it are amazing and really help breathe new life into the Fakemon. Redesigning Kintorai was so amazing I loved the og design but I agree with a lot of comments that it felt a bit disney. The resign really helped it stand apart in that regard. In my opinion. Ohhh my god Insullama redesign is sooo adorable I want him! The concept was amazing and the redesign really helped it reach its potential! You are all amazing artists and I love to see how you all have improved as artists! ❤️

This is actually a very fun concept for the Four Artists Challenge, and I’d love to see a repeat of this but with a twist. Instead of the artists choosing Fakemon other people have done in this series, how about having them redesign Fakemon your fans have done (with their permission given, of course) but only knowing their names and typing.

Idea for a challenge here: Make Pokemon based on some very weird-looking animals. Like... gather a bunch of artists (3-5), each one has to search for the WEIRDEST-LOOKING animals they can find, and then they or another artist then has to draw it! Alternatively, ask your viewers to suggest the weirdest-looking animals they know of, pick the "worst" or pick at random and then make them Pokemon.

I feel like the different versions of Antillery would all be fighting in the same Squadron. Ron's Antillery would be a frontline attacker, Deadbedspread's Antillery would be a heavy backline support, and the OG Antillery would be the commander of the other two.

I just love that DeadBedSpread's version of Antillery looks like a Megaman X Reploid. I don't know if that is intentional, but it could fit very well into the roster. Chill Penguin, Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, etc. Just ading "Artillery Ant" feels really fricking natural.
hear me out: ron's beaconduct is when it isn't conducting, or at rest reoma's beaconduct is when it is conducting (much like a band director will raise their arms to make instruments come up) and to change forms in battle, it has a unique move: Conductor's Grace. 30 BP special psychic move, but if devoltee is on the field (on beaconduct's side), base power doubles and will start a 'performance' that lasts 3 turns. During the turns, attacks directed at beaconduct or devoltee deal 1.25x damage, and the move can't be used again until the counter is done. At the end of the performance, it immediately triggers the perish song effect (on the pokemon that was hit) causing them to faint. It will also cause beaconduct to revert to the "rest" form.
Idea for the next 4 artist make a Pokémon from one description: Make Pokémon out of Pokémon categories(are what I think they are called) (Like how arcanine is the "legendary Pokémon") and it would also have a built in mini game of who is that Pokémon
To me, Ron's Antillery looks like a middle evolution of the one that Deadbedspread did, the babies that they shoot out being the first evo, like the Dragapult line.
That Trapptop is awesome. Like a dark Rotom. Favorite fakemon I've seen I think. Damn dude. Also, maybe your ants evolve depending on the held item. Metal Coat, Heavy-Duty Boots and Rocky Helmet or something.
Truegreen7, what if you took iconic parts of Pokémon and mashed them together, could start a art conversation about iconic parts of design, and how one big thing can make a simple design cool, like how Pikachu’s ears and tail make effectively a blob interesting and mascot material
My head canon is that the Original Pika-too and the redesign are split evolutions to too-dee, so the og becomes that beloved mascot, and the redesign is a washed up failed version

I'm glad about this episode. Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed the previous ones too, but I always felt like you were tip-toeing around each other and never gave honest criticism about each other's work. Please keep this mentality for the upcoming episodes as well.
My favorite has to be the first antillery redesign I love how it’s multiple limps combine into rail guns! But my least is the beaconduct redesign as I prefer the original since it seems just right as opposed to the new design which seems like a lot. Love this series and hope to see more!
i love how DBS's antillery can throw the bullant like grenades awsell, i also didn't really beaconduct original so i really like the redesign pika-too redesign was really really cool goriliath's original design i think is better. insulama has a crazy glowup same with claustrap and elktic i think bonny did really good this time to be honest i think all of the designs are peak
The Kintorai are definitely an improved version off Pyroar with the sexual dimorphism, I mean that Bonny's would be the male and Ron's would be the female

Commenting while still partway through the video- just saw the Antillery redesign by DeadBedSpread- That's absolutely AMAZING! My jaw dropped form how good that looks. From the pose to the changed details to how it just Feels more military... Absolutely phenomenal!

I just love that DeadBedSpread's version of Antillery looks like a Megaman X Reploid. I don't know if that is intentional, but it could fit very well into the roster. Chill Penguin, Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, etc. Just ading "Artillery Ant" feels really fricking natural.
Honestly, his version of the armadillo Pokémon is also basically a Megaman X Reploid as well.

hear me out: ron's beaconduct is when it isn't conducting, or at rest
reoma's beaconduct is when it is conducting
(much like a band director will raise their arms to make instruments come up)
and to change forms in battle, it has a unique move: Conductor's Grace.
30 BP special psychic move, but if devoltee is on the field (on beaconduct's side), base power doubles and will start a 'performance' that lasts 3 turns. During the turns, attacks directed at beaconduct or devoltee deal 1.25x damage, and the move can't be used again until the counter is done. At the end of the performance, it immediately triggers the perish song effect (on the pokemon that was hit) causing them to faint. It will also cause beaconduct to revert to the "rest" form.
Idea for the next 4 artist make a Pokémon from one description:
Make Pokémon out of Pokémon categories(are what I think they are called) (Like how arcanine is the "legendary Pokémon") and it would also have a built in mini game of who is that Pokémon

DeadBedSpread's arms and legs for Antillery are awesome but Truegreen designed a really good head for it.
These are absolutely some of my favorite Fakemon ever, all of you did an amazing job!
To me, Ron's Antillery looks like a middle evolution of the one that Deadbedspread did, the babies that they shoot out being the first evo, like the Dragapult line.

Truegreen7, what if you took iconic parts of Pokémon and mashed them together, could start a art conversation about iconic parts of design, and how one big thing can make a simple design cool, like how Pikachu’s ears and tail make effectively a blob interesting and mascot material
My head canon is that the Original Pika-too and the redesign are split evolutions to too-dee, so the og becomes that beloved mascot, and the redesign is a washed up failed version
If I had a too-dee I'd be very disappointed if my rubber hose duck evolved into a Pikachu

I'm glad about this episode. Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed the previous ones too, but I always felt like you were tip-toeing around each other and never gave honest criticism about each other's work. Please keep this mentality for the upcoming episodes as well.

My favorite has to be the first antillery redesign I love how it’s multiple limps combine into rail guns! But my least is the beaconduct redesign as I prefer the original since it seems just right as opposed to the new design which seems like a lot.

The Kintorai are definitely an improved version off Pyroar with the sexual dimorphism, I mean that Bonny's would be the male and Ron's would be the female
