Well for me it's not about upgrading as more of buying first time, like I want to do all white build personally a 4090 is £2000 and well a 4080 super is about 1.2k so I'm not sure what to do tbh let's not talk about the 5090
It's worth it if you are chasing higher frames. If you are vram limited I would wait for the 24gb version or get the 5090. I'm getting the latter. I want to be done with upgrading. I don't really need it because my 4080s is more than capable for 4k. I have zero issues and play everything on max settings with RT or PT (e.g. CP2077) with either DLAA +FG or DLSS Q/B + FG.
I just assembled my pc without a graphics card. I bought a 21:9 1440p monitor. My last pc had a 4080 and back then, I played at "standard" 1440p and 16gb Vram were enough for the games I used to play, but, these days, games seem to be more Vram hungry than ever. I'm not sure 16gb is enough for 3440x1440p at ultra settings. I would like to build a PC to last at least 5 years without having to upgrade anything. That's why I went with 64gb ddr5 ram, a ryzen 5 7600x3d, 4tb m2 nmve ssd, 850w be quiet power supply. In 5 years, I will definitely upgrade the cpu. I don't know if the 5080 will be enough for my 5 year schedule or not.
I always hate when a review tells us that nvidia says it will be faster than the previous gen. Well yeah, what would be the point of making a slower new gen.
A shame you didn't include the laptop versions for comparison, at least the 4090 laptop, which is essentially a slightly powered down and strangled 4080.
Im going from a gtx 1650 super max q to rtx 5090 just waiting. Im surprised my pc can hand the games i play. I can play ghost of tsushima at medium at 30 fps and at minimum a little bit higher.
@@Techfluencer I obviously wouldn't know, hint's why I'm asking because I see the 4090 has more Vram so that's why I was thinking the 4090 is still better overall.
the 3060 only outperforms the 4060 in cases where the 8gb of vram isn't enough. If it bothers you then in the future do your research before making a purchase 👌
Now everything revolves around ai upscaling, and that is the difference between 40xx and 30xx. Raw performance more less the same, but 3060 doesn't support newest upscaling, so obviously 4060 is a better choice. Lossless Scaling is an app which it's possible to buy on steam, and it does pretty much the same thing.
@@Owen-np3wf You are right. Hardware unboxed test for 12 games average is 14.28% better performance for 4060. (72fps vs 63fps on ultra settings). Then if you add better upscaling to the formula the difference is going to be even higher. Sometimes 3060 outperforms 4060, but definitely 4060 is more future proof hardware in my opinion.
Likely to be as good as a 4090 or upwards of 10% faster than a 4090. Dur, is it worth upgrading? Can we try a little harder please. And F off with the AI voice crap.

only worth upgrading if ur going from 4080 to 5090

Помню времена когда нам говорили что если вы не играете в 4к,то вам не нужна 2080ti😢.
You know, if game developers put even a little effort into optimizing their crap games, nobody would even need a RTX3080 yet for 4K gaming.
Unreal engine 5 is awful to handle
Except for the 5090 Nvidia’s just giving you enough to keep you buying a new GPU every generation. Great marketing.
