Here in Australia, gift cards for food are far less common than gift cards for like Buying Objects, so if i was on a date and they were like “hey here’s a piece of plastic that means we don’t have to spend as much!” I’d be like hot damn this bitch a wizard please marry me
Around 5:50 you start hearing proto-Jerry Potter voice. Obviously his endless inferiority complex compared to his father has driven him to filling the void with junk food.
Real Talk: The reason you don't whip out a gift card or coupon for a dinner date (specifically the first few dates between two adults with jobs), is it has a heavy subtext that you aren't investing into the person you're with. It's like saying "I'm covering my ass in case I'm wasting my time I'll at least get 20% of my money back from Crab Shack." On the other hand, if you move the date to a second location, it's a better time to show how thrifty you are as it's not the main event of learning about a person over dinner, and it's usually along the lines of entertainment like mini golf or a movie.
I think we technically have Applebee’s and Cold Stone in Canada, but they’re obscure and rare. It’d be more like Montana’s and DQ. Also, Nunavut/NWT are ‘our’ Alaska.
My brother got me an applebees gift card for christmas but im a vegetarian and allergic to milk so there is not a single item on their menu i can eat. So now i just have to stare at this $25 gift card sitting in my wallet, wishing it would turn into literally anything else lmao
I'm pretty sure you could find at least one or two things to eat and drink. But if you're set on not using it, give it to someone in need. There's no rule you have to keep gift cards
Will never forget the time my ex and i went to mcdonalds bc hed found an old gift card. After getting our food he asked how much was left on the card and they said like 93 bucks lmfao
Gift card is fine. Coupon is tacky UNLESS you discuss is beforehand. If you’re like “hey we’re in college and we don’t have a lot of money. I have a coupon for ___. We can use that and save money to get ice cream after. What do you think?” Or something like that I think that’s very attractive and shows you care and are knowledgeable about finances
"I thought every restaurant in Canada had to be named after a burly man"
Johnny AppleBees
Griffin you *can't* throw out "I'm not joking" so freely, you *mustn't*
For a moment I forgot about Tim Hortons so I thought he was Making fun of Harvey's 💀
Just for the record, guys it's fine to use gift cards, Idk why that's even an issue
my dad would take girls on dates to his college theater, and they would get in free by being ushers before the show. top thrift.

Samantha Bee bought all the applebees in Canada. They only have Samantha Bee's now.
Y'know in French it's Le PommeDuBees.
Applebee’s smoking plaza is detention
I would be fine with my date using a coupon or gift card on a date (first date or 100th date). Shows me you are being smart with your money.

Why are the brothers so anti every restaurant ever
Pineapple Time I hope you're not defending applebees
They’re anti-Applebee’s and any chain restaurant, but they also love them.
Justin loves Olive Garden lol
they have bad tummies
They seem to be anti-almost everything.
Applebee’s is legit my favorite chain restaurant and I’m offended by this slander lmao
You boys need to come up here to Toronto, and I'll take you on a tour to all the burliest of restaurants.
p.s. there are a total of 8 Applebees here in all of Canada lol
cyoupons and cyanada
I haven’t looked at that picture of a lacrosse team nearly long enough

I live in BC and there were Applebee's goddamn everywhere growing up
Erin It might be regional.

pretty sure canada's alaska is nunavut
according to Google Maps, most of Nunavut appears to be physically connected to contiguous Canada, so i don't understand your reasoning
L'Applebées
My dad used an Applebee's coupon on his first date with my mom
Everything in Canada MUST have a manly name! MUST I TELL YOU!

It’d actually be l’applebees
What's wrong with Applebee's? 😕
It's 2020 and that Applebee's takeout comment has aged poorly
