    I shoot 300blk through my Obsidian more than 9mm here lately…I bet it’s quieter than the Razor on 300 subsonics.

      Oh nice!! I wondered how the obsidian would preform on subs. Too bad I can’t use it on the 300 since my barrel is 5”.

    Were you shooting subs/ 147gr and up?

    I thought I recognized that red gravel.. Good spot to go when the range down the road is full.

    I just got approved for my rugged obsidian 9 can. And I'm getting a Walther pdp pro 9mm. Dies this can thread directly on, or do I need the piston assembly???

      @kilo1official  Місяць тому +1

      Sweet!! That’s awesome! Nope, you don’t need anything extra! It comes with a booster and is direct thread. You would need change out the booster to a shim if using on a fixed barrel like a pcc.

    What’s causing the pistol to not function properly? Is it a POS or was it the ammo? Or because of the can?

    • @kilo1official
      @kilo1official  21 день тому +1

      Hey so there are a couple factors. The recoil spring is way to stout so we can go down a couple lbs and it might fix it. The fitment on the aftermarket threaded barrel might not be in spec and it causes excessive wear which increases drag. The suppressor might be a little too long so between the piston and the weight, might bit be an equal balance and it can’t handle the mass. With the obsidian 9, you can convert it to the “k” style and that should fix it as well

      Generally speaking when you add a suppressor to a pistol you can expect you will need to go with a weaker recoil spring to get it to cycle right. (like kilo mentioned)

      @kilo1official  8 днів тому +2

      @rayman4449 not necessarily, the Glock 45 was shot suppressed without any modification to the recoil system

      kilo1official@@kilo1officialThat is good to know that at least some seem to work ok and is why I noted generally speaking. I don't know how one would evaluate the percentage of ones that have issues vs ones that don't. But what I see is a common theme in discussion forums etc that when folks add a suppressor, if they start to see cycling issues, probably the first place to start is a weaker spring. The fact that this seems to be a fairly common feeling makes me wonder if even those that do seem to work ok, are operating closer more on the edge of having problems. In researching glocks and suppressors I found your video and one from Mrgunsngear where he commented that glocks are generally not good suppressor hosts (but then says they probably just need weaker recoil spring.). My gut feeling is if a person does have problems with a glock they probably can just go with something like a 15lb spring vs the stock 17lb and it would probably clear their issues. Take care and be safe!

      @kilo1official  8 днів тому +1

      Absolutely! Usually going down 2lbs generally works. I’ve noticed issues in sub compact pistols than full size. It’s honestly probably has to do with the mass at the end of the barrel vs spring weight and most of the times in subcompact, you can go down low enough in lbs for it to even cycle properly. All the Glocks I’ve shot, ran suppressed perfectly fine. Also depends on the piston and booster and how well they are made and the spring tension on the booster itself.

    How do you get faster approval? I’m pass the average wait time. I email ATF and FBI NICs

    • @kilo1official
      @kilo1official  2 місяці тому

      Email atf won’t help as much. When you’re emailing nics, make sure you have your control number, your personal information and what type suppressor it is along with a serial number. Also you can reach out to your congressman, that usually helps out a lot!
