Man, when these ARPG's are done right they're just so addictive. This looks like it's gonna eat up a lot of my time!
Check out Path of Exile 2 then!
Something interesting I saw someone else suggesting: In Ancient Greece the main currency was drachmas, made out of silver. Instead of the ubiquitous gold, as in all other games, use silver! Name it either silver or drachma. That's a very small change but very unique and I guess it would be pointed out in every review of the game. It's almost like an easter egg, but not hidden lol
Seria un detalle genial!!!
Assassin's Creed Odyssey taught me that lol
Agree! 👍
Assassin's Creed Odyssey uses drachma :)

I like that Titan Quest 2 has kept the dynamics of the game as in the first part. It is a slow game without a huge number of bright effects on the screen.
too many effects i dont like. But the slow gameplay was ok 18 years ago... And the only problem with TQ1 was the actual 0 active skills. ppl just spammed left click and 2-3 passives triggered. Thats all. But its faster than TQ1.
Still early game, I bet it will take off later on and become madness like most ARPG but that's alright, you want to gradually get more powerful and badass.
Compared to the flashy art style of PoE 2, I personally prefer a more realistic visual approach. However, I've noticed a serious issue with this game at its current stage-its lack of impact. The feedback when weapons hit monsters feels incredibly weak, almost as if you're swinging at thin air. There's no way the development team hasn't noticed such an obvious flaw, and if they don't improve this aspect later on, the game could very well end up as a failure. I'm not sure about the IP's development costs or the funding situation, but at the moment, it looks like a low-budget production.
@@bogodoyandex9654 Need to remember that the original Titan Quest devs have nothing to do with this game. And also Titan Quest 1 suffered from this and was the biggest reason I never liked it as much as I could. I have to have convincing SFX with correct animations to be sold the scene. The hitreg animation can be worse if the sound is amazing since that is what creates the oumph anyway and give the impression something is hit hard.
I will watch the video again but you're sure it's not by design like in D2 where you actually miss hits when your dexterity is low?
This passes the Titan Quest vibe check 100%
its looks like total fail
@@onkelen5677 obviously you never played the original then
@Devs
11:24: It seems the Ichthian that used a two handed halberd drops an ice staff and a shield? That makes zero sense!
In the original game (more than 18 YEARS OLD) enemies drop the weapons and armor you see them use. They physically fall to the ground. No matter if it's your first time playing or the 100th run: Noticing a certain item on an opponent and receiving it as he is slain feels very rewarding.
Generally I like what you are doing. The landscapes are beautiful, the atmosphere is right.
to be fair maybe the Ichthian has the shield on its back and the ,,halberd" is called an Ice staff ingame
@@Prost81 Appreciate the comment, but I see no shield on its back and the weapon is not the same - I'm pretty certain. At 19:54 a boar drops a fire staff... It's just not right. But making magicians drop staffs and melee enemies drop melee weapons is not enough. It needs to "physically" be the same item they use. Regarding non humanoids they could get creative: If we see a spear stuck in the legendary huge boar, we retrieve this very spear when we kill it, THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
It's called the WYSIWYG system:- What You See Is What You Get. And it worked very well.
@@Raumschutz Es verdad es un detalle, pero capaz los desarrolladores no tienen tanto tiempo para hacer ese detalle, les llevaria mucho tiempo.
Se estan enfocando en cosas mas grandes del juego
You are wrong it's random drop change
In options I want to see...
* Remove damage numbers
* Remove red outline of enemies
* Remove red outline of player(s)
* Remove health bars on enemies
* Remove health bar on bosses
* Remove flash on hit of enemies
I might not necessarily turn off all but I will with most of them especially numbers and health bars to get as realistic feel as possible.

HELLOOO WHAT A GREAT DAY!
@@ilquerxanier THE NECKLACE OH !!!!!

>No autoleveling enemies
SOLD!
What's that? You mean enemies who always have your level?
one thing that really got me hooked in TQ1 was the animations, you need to polish some movements and attacks to be more meaningful
Looks promising, though I wish they showed more than just some low level gameplay spamming the same 3 Skills for 30 minutes...This was a pretty bad showcase that will give people the wrong impressions.
@@verde5738 this. And imagine doing this again with an alt.
This is miles better than the trailer they perviously released
Es una pequeña muestrita esta demo, es para enseñarte lo que esta avanzando el juego
@@detach103ff4 Does that mean the next Showcase will be better? I can't wait
This showcase is just the demo they prepared for Gamescon. The limitations are intentional.
TY!!! It's nice to have a gameplay without any commentary to appreciate the sound effects! Footage shows it all the game is shaping well and the original vibe stills there!
If the devs can actually put up a more visually understandable and distinct icons for skills instead of the likes of D4 it would be more awesome. There are some players like me who cant distinguish between these color palettes or symbols that much easily. The icons from Titan Quest (1) actually looked so much memorable.
So far, the game looks pretty raw. The interface isn't complete, the leveling up process wasn't shown at all. I guess they are only in the beginning of the development and that's all they have to show.
I would change the interface, and the skill icons, they look very D4.
Also some animations look strange. And it would change the color of the item rarity like in TQ1
that jumping attack feels so unimpacting -- enemies aren't moved or even react to it at all. I hope they improve details like that still.
Bring Egyptian, Babylonian, Chinese, Nordic, Atlantean and Indian cultures from DLC's, pleaseeeee 🥲🥲🥲
Finally a game without seasons, I am so done with seasons in games. Can't wait for Titan Quest 2
Bro for real, seasons got old so quick....
@@OftenYesMan almost every game has it now, especially every ARPG which is just annoying.
For a second I was wondering what you had against spring, summer, autumn and winter but then I remembered. Yeah, screw seasons.
@@Mr.Snrub86 😃
@@Afura33 Yeah I mean new content really blows! lol what are you even saying what is wrong with a game getting new content every 3 months as appose to staying the exact same game you can easily wear out?
Boars dropping staffs and monsters not dropping whatever they are wearing, well this is nothing like Titan Quest. AND skeletons with a same death animation, are you serious?
Its a game not the real world.

Please do a lot of customization options for tunic/robe, weapons/armour sets - if you want to look more maybe Greek hoplite or Macedonian, Egyptian, Roman, Persian, Armenian, Germanic, Celtic, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese
Also the shield customization, the helmet plume colours, bronze/iron armour, engravings
Cosmetic changes to weapon, say you got legendary axe, but you prefer swords - an option to have a set piece that can be changed for a sharp/blunt weapon type with same stats/set bonuses
Also different masteries - spear throwing/sling/longbow/shortbow - kite mechanism - shoot while moving, different pets - maybe something tanky like polar bear or grizzly and something more crit/DPS like lion/tiger, or fast DPS like leo's/panther's/chitah's, or maybe you skinchange yourself with nature mastery
Kind of surprised to see loading screens when entering caves now. It wasn't a thing in TQ1, where you could traverse almost entire maps without loading screens. I guess its the technical limitations of UE5?
oh no...
It definitely isn't a technical limitations. No modern engine has that except for maybe Bethesdas engine.
@@readifdumb i think it is limitation, having closed spaces allows them to get past the travesal stutter so present in UE titles.
@@Dominik12335 Potentially?
I like the vibe
They fucked up item drops, in first game it was amazing monsters were dropping what they wear.
Not always, depends which monster
This is an alpha build, meant to showcase how far they're in developement bro were you expecting a fully fledged out game?
@@xiuhcoatl4830 no it was always

@@TheNuclearGamerr probably cause you dont know much about game design.
This game has incredible vibes, the environment, music, combat is not bad at all. I'm really enjoying it and I'm really looking forward to it 😊
So they butchered the original item system in favor more simple Diablo 4 like system. The original Titan Quest and Grim Dawn systems are way ahead of this. Can't really see how this would compete with other titles in the market
???????
@@pedroorus8135 it's dumbed down
9:23 Why it took 30 seconds for spiders to kill him? There is any challenge in that game when you are so hard to kill
It's played on the "Videogame Journalist" difficulty level.
There is an issue in TQ2 (I also noticed it in D4) where characters, monsters, and backgrounds are almost indistinguishable. It seems like the developers simply made a first-person or third-person game similar to Assassin's Creed or God of War, and then adjusted the camera to a top-down view. Looking back at TQ1, Diablo 2, and Grim Dawn, characters didn't stand out from the background in an unnatural way but were still easy to distinguish, as if the game designers subtly applied a light effect to the characters
That animations tho. If feels like they were made in 2011.
thank you for the clean video gameplay . What a cool game TQ2 will be !
For me, the standout feature is them pronouncing "Cyclopes" correctly at 15:17
They've changed the color coding for items, now it's like in Diablo 2? Why? Also enemies no longer drop what they cary? Spear wielders drop swords, animals drop weapons even though they don't wield them... because they're animals. That's a sure way to take out the uniqueness of Titan Quest.
The reason TItan quest interesting is Skill tree flexible. Can't wait to try... I hope they got huge skill tree to make a combat
Something in the interface is confusing me...I've become too much like Diablo, these balls with mana and health. Dialog boxes look too ordinary, the portal is activated too quickly and uninterestingly, the CHARACTER'S AVATAR IN THE CORNER OF THE SCREEN IS STATIC. The buttons are not from 1 to 0, but all over the keyboard, somehow inconvenient
I'm glad I found this channel
The equipment drop animation is quite interesting; the sword is stuck into the ground. The BGM is also very beautiful and melodious.
13 years spent in the first game and still playing it. I think i can go on with this one till i'm out.
Looks good so far, a bit sad about some of the Diablo/PoE like elements but they shouldn`t interfere too much if the double class system is going to be as good as i remember/hope to be.
Looks absolutely stunning, i've loved first part and this one looks very promising.
I cant believe they are making a sequel, and it looks great. Looking forward to this.
I love the music in this one! Cant wait to play it.
0:18 , ok what the hell, the narrator sounds actually greek
which is a problem. huge one. narrator sounds greek but the npcs are all british
@@CannibaLouiST and thus my surprise, cause most of the npc's sounded irish to me
I'll reserve judgment for now, but I will say this: in 2024-25, the ARPG space is more competitive than ever. Between D4, PoE2, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch and others, TQ2 must rise to the challenge and pull out all the stops, otherwise it risks ossification in the land of permanent mediocrity.
A trend that I'm sure a lot of people have noticed, is that the modern ARPG genre is slowing down combat a lot. Look at this game, D4 and PoE2... All of them seemingly going in the same direction, albeit having the obvious different mechanics and systems.
Though this seems similar to TQ1 combat speed, hard to say for certain as this is early levelling.
Not the most flashy gameplay but that's not what made me fall in love with Titan Quest. For me it was all about exploration, new loot, grinding. This demo looks great. I do hope it gets a bit more flashy so new players will want to join.
Will wait till official release and buy for me and my brother - will play coop
Originally in TQ1 monsters drop the items they're wearing/wielding which makes a lot of sense, so... why are crabs dropping bows and armor now?
I LOVED titan quest, but could it really compete in terms of content?
I really hope this game succeeds.
Good day heroic comrades.🌄🌊✊🙂💪💪👊👊🤝
I mean, the game looks really good, but I think path of exile 2 will outshine this by alot. I could be wrong though. I'll probably still try this one out
Yeah...Unfortunately, I think you stand 100% correct. They need to do more than beautiful visuals and good music. But I kinda like the more casual aproach of it. Not all rpgs need 5000x types of currency and a virtual number of infinite builds. We shall see oh this develops
@@godsproject0 This game is like 80% straight up Diablo clone from what's being show. There is zero creativity, uniqueness, any new things being shown. For an ARPG based on Mythology theme there is ZERO of those influenced the game. Where are the Greek Gods? Their powers? Their blessing/curses? Why is my Greek Hoplite doing ice stomp instead of something that is Greek? I would like to be a mage class that worship Dionysus and run around shooting mobs with wine than the same ice/fire/lightning/etc. spell that's been there a million times. My range class would run around with a Harp and shoot music at people instead of the same bow and arrow stuff. Video game is just having zero brain, zero thinking, zero creativity nowaday man.
@@aoyaibaba3090 Yep. It's D3 with different art style. The only game that is trying to push the genre is PoE2 and No Rest for the Wicked...
I mean let's wait and see. This game doesn't have to try to be a PoE 2 competitor. It should try to be whatever game the developers want to make and not be trend chasing after PoE 2.
@@YuYuYuna_ No matter how hard you want to avoid it they not only have poe2 to compete for players but also poe1 and diablo4, there is factually no time to play another game especially that they can't compete with the amount of updates blizzard did in just a year in d4 and leagues in poe just because they're financially not capable of going this hard.
last epoch hit 258k peak players and now they dwindled to 3k and it wont ever change because the studio wont be able to keep up with rest of the market.

Not a top priority but I hope they add more dialogues when character do some actions, narrator speaks when you click on lore item/landmark, humanoid monster says some lines. At the moment, it feels "quite" when all you hear are "hu" ,"haa", "ho", "aah".
everyone is trying to make it more casual, everyone is trying to make it simpler. Every year, games are being chewed up more and more to lower the entry threshold. But along with this, the interest and atmosphere decreases. Where is the beautiful interface? Where is the huge amount of text describing the objects that you are trying to delve into? Where is the difficulty in the game???
It is most likely set on a really low difficulty for this demo and if not this game needs to be tuned up 10x.
this game not linear? that awesome.. like sacred underworld
1/10 no enemies flying across the skin after death
90% of UI is rip from Diablo 4 lol.
Not feeling the "Titan Quest" vibes in this, to be honest... still looks fun
BUT! I am very happy we are finally get an actual GAME released. Not a live-service, not a hobby, not something that's trying to eat every single second of my day.
Just a nice game that I can buy and play, with replay value, and occasional DLC releases.
We never should have strayed from that path.
Diablo style combat in the Chrono cross-verse?
I don't know Titan Quest. I feel like i'm looking at a clone of Diablo 3-4 with slightly better graphics. Could you tell me what makes this game unique compared to D3-4?
You can mix 2 classes
You Play in real Mythologie
We get a new Diablo without it having to be Diablo.
The difficulty need to be ramped up a lot before release, I want to feel a sense of danger and risk walking these lands.
Thank you for taking the time to show every aspect of the game in a thorough manner. Much appreciated. :)
Almost everyone complaining that this and that. For me it is much better than I expected, because the fact that they are going to do it is a miracle. I'm going to hate the complainers if because of them this game doesn't prosper. I'm looking forward to early access 😊
Thanks for the video, but I don't know, the animations gave me a "Last Epoch vibe" (and this is not a compliment cause LE animations are terrible). Saw weapons that don't connect with the enemies (colision boxes are all over the place), the character don't even react when it's been hit, mobs also don't react, some animations lack a lot of frames, etc. IDK, it's an alpha or beta version, but they need to work a lot on those animations.
Loved the first game, canny wait for this!
Only thing that'd get me interested in a new ARPG is new ideas and I don't see many new ideas here.
Auto pickup gold and other resources PLS! Plus advanced details could fit into 1 big window instead of a scroll down so u have a better overview of all the stats.
LETS FKIN GOOOOOOOOOO!!! oh my god im so glad i lived long enough to be able to buy whatever game i want, having amazing gaming pc, and finally lived long enough to play my childhood memory with new power!

I just don’t feel like this is the best they could’ve done…
It's crowd funded/Early Access. What to expect? This is what gamers wanted.
@@palasta Nah dude. this looks dated as hell its like it was made 12 years ago. Your attacks have no weight or depth behind them.
@@DevilWolf000 What dude... man.. bro... dudeman. I didn't say it doesn't look outdated. This is what gamers asked for... not that they knew what were asking for.
low mob density looks odd considering that camera is always high, howing a lot of space where nothing is going on
I hope this game will be well optimized as the first one. Original Titan Quest run perfectly even on first generation Intel IGPU's
Please bring auto attack, so we don't have to click everytime or air and leave the option to click only to choose the monster to attack or for skills/items usage
I think it looks better than Last Epoch already
Not a fan over-designed gear. Even in this early game phase. Shame game is too afraid to use actual gear of the period. If even the starting gear is embellished and frilly, where do can they go further down the line?
It's looking much better than the previous showcase!
It's look fresh. D4 like. As TQ1 and this OKAY. Please please make the system of LOOT like TQ1 "when you see the weapon you can get this weapon". And one of the best part is a variety BUILD SYSTEM when you can play as a fire stuff, ice bow. poison dagger and MORE. I hope I see the update NATURE mastery, this UNIQE school, which you can play as a real Druid, Shaman (earth/nature spells for example) or ever you want to create. Do not do BLOOD rage massacre like D2/D4. Save YOUR STYLE and make it COOL. Hope you can read this. Hope this game will be the same level for nowadays games ❤ and we can go ancient Greece again and again!
You save my horse ... 🥲
Игра легендарная, жду 2 часть очень очень ❤
Love to know how this isn’t just Diablo set in Ancient Greece rather than Sanctuary.
Man, I cannot wait for this. I am hip deep in Grim Dawn currently and would love to have a new outlet that isnt D4 or PoE. PoE 2 will get some attention of course =)
Great gaming. If THQ Nordic bring more games like this it would be great playing great games.👍
Muy buen jueguito!! la unica critica que le haria es indicar mejor visualmente las resistencias como en el tq1 , en vez de una texto sin mas.
El resto de todo el juego me encanto, y hay muchas partes que me hacen recordar al juego de mi infancia.
i realy like that even the little mobs have some telegraph atks. this feels realy good.
Combat and movement animations is terrible. Looks like cheap mobile diabloid. Original Titan Quest is more immersive in this.
I genuinely cant tell how badly you are trolling.
The nostalgia glasses on this one are real :D This LOOKS Better than Titan Quest, they kept to the same ish color scheme as the original, has same tone to its level design and atmosphere too, Animations are much better than Titan Quest, sure while in some cases it is lil stiffy but this is early preview of the game, animations will be more polished, also completely different engine and team doing this game :)
I dont really see problems with it, other than monsters not really dropping gear that they actually wear themselves ;/
A mortal wake up.....That guys is not a mortal if he can jump and shatter the ground and creating shockwave, and fight 4 giant crabs bigger than a bull all at once while remaining unscathed.
Yes this looks exactly like the first one!!! ❤❤❤
I don't care if this is better comparing to other games, of course we know some limits, but just knowing that somebody think of bringing back this game again worth it so much...
nice UI and UX. Really fresh wind in games in all of this gray squares.
Why do all these style games build the exact same UI bar at the bottom? So many of them have the same health/mana orbs with hotkeys in between...
You're going down there. You're going unprepared. It's not safe. Buy what you need here!
back to form. what action rpg should strive for. so excited for Titan Quest 2, its not trying to beat other games. its trying to prove simplicity over complexity is not required. engagement and battling of the world is at its core the most important thing, everything else is second.
Looks ok, but its sorta "wrong". One thing is combat that has certain cartoon-ish quality (original TQ is bit more "realistic" within reason).
Also it looks waaaay too easy. Original TQ will make you pretty scared more often than not. If you pull too much enemies there, you are dead as doorknob. Or if you just get jumped by enemy couple levels above.
