Live acoustic version of the 2004 album Siren Song of the Counter Culture Enjoy, and please rate and comment Original version: • Rise Against - Anywher...
I really, really do love Tim's voice in acoustic. It's so beautiful and one of the reasons I love "Swing Life Away" so much. It's amazing what can happen when you smooth out a voice that has a bit of a rough edge to it.
I love the fact that rise against have songs like this so you have an alliterative to their punk and it really shows how talented they are that they can do both styles of music
The lyrics in this song aren't at all what people think they are. This is actually a massively profound song about our existence on this planet. Read a little bit between the lines and you'll see.
What a shame, I recently lost my amazing turtle who whispered things to me in an unintelligible dialect. We crossed the US and Europe at least 30 times and crowds would gather no matter where we went whether it be Copenhagen, Berlin, Venice, Seattle, New York, etc. I thought for a moment my turtle, whom I lost near Paris, would be returned to me, but I was wrong.
@gaaraissoawesome: The lyric (in the original track) is "a race with no finish line." In this version, for some reason he says "to race". *shrug* it doesn't matter. It's an amazing line no matter how you look at it.
It was a warm summer night in southern Peru, back in 1964. I was walking along the rocky beach in the dim twilight, with the waves gently brushing against my young, yet hairy feet. Before I knew it, an eagle landed on my shoulder, covered in golden armour, shining brighter than the sun, and it told me of the past, the present, and the future. When it was done divulging its words of wisdom and flew away, the mythical tortoise washed unto the rocks in front of me, whispering URL's.
Would just like to say thank you for uploading all these great songs, hopefully whatever links you have that allow to get these songs have the permission of the band. I'm sure they would give anybody permission but yeah :) Thanks
@LaxeTheKing: I believe, because I have the lyrics booklet that came with the album, it's "a race with no finish line". Can't argue with the official lyrics. =)
Ok, let me correct myself, the comment he made was cliche, fo-fo, and a waste of space. Your reply to me was just only a waste of space though, so good for you.
I think this is the best acoustic version of an originally heavier Rise Against song
@Anthony Wolf since my comment they've dropped Ghost Note Symphonies, truly a dream come true

Is it just me or do the acoustic versions of all (or at least most) Rise Against songs sound better and hit harder?
1 dislike? Their finger must've slipped
...so, if you aren't in the band, how the hell do you happen to have access to the songs that us plebians/Americans don't know how to get? Magic?
@tacoeater888 Actually, I think he's saying "It's a race with no finish line..."
💜💜💜💜
epic XD Rise Against FTW
dude you should make a playlist
Isn't it: To race with no finish line, no first or last place? not
'' A race with no finish line ''?
I have a magic turtle that whispers secret links to me.
The last comment was 2 weeks ago so to keep it moving where did you acquire such a turtle? and where can I get one?

Themightychickens, I love the fuck out of you and this band.

@AxeltheRipper scared not stared
isn't it "not a dime to my name," not "without a dime to my name"?
apparently 1 person likes to win a race xD
But how...URL's didn't exist yet...I suppose thats why its mythical...
Or did I simply take it to far? And put far too much thought into it?
