I have learned to appreciate your honesty on this s650 by not hyperinflating gains i have seen from other companies. I think it also shows how ford is tweeking as much hp out of it from.stock.
The most honest review and advert i have ever seen from a company. Now that's trust worthy.
The fact that's they didn't even lie about the power gains and explained how the oem system works great really makes me trust them
Nice! Definitely ordering these!
Thank you guys for providing reliable, honest and valuable information. I recently purchased an S650 and you guys have the most comprehensive information that I have found so far. Between the exhaust comparison video and this video, you guys received my subscription. Thanks for the quality content, keep it up!
I appreciate this video and the details! Building my list for a possible future '24 GT to replace my '18 GT PP1.
Dyno it with the hood down vs stock mad respect that’s how it’s done
Hey Scott, awesome video!!! I will be buying these filters once I get my new Dark Horse. 🐎 Thanks for sharing. Is Chris officially gone now? I heard he was moving up to NC.
Cheers‼️👍👊💪😎🇺🇸
Are you coming out with a dry filter kit???👍🏽👍🏽
Why a wet/oiled filter versus a dry filter? Both options out now are oiled but is there a reason for this? Did you do any testing on dry filters? I can find arguments both ways but not a lot of empirical data either way.
Haha! I love the 10mm joke! Nice touch 😂
Hehehehe!
Whats better?
ProFlow Air Filters by Steeda or the High-flow Air Filters by K&N E-0630? They are both sold on the Steeda website.
However K&N also sells another one that is a universal clamp on RU-1037 which fits apparently, but not sold on the Steeda website.
Please make one for the 2022 Ford Maverick 2.0 please
What’s the restrictions on tuning? Ford is not allowing it?
Nobody allows it, it eventually happens.
Take out the carbon traps get more - what wheel and tire set up are you running on that particular car ...?
We have taken the carbon traps and tested with multiple S650s and have yet to see a measurable difference on any vehicle. For the track we're on our Trident HPDE Package 19x11 with 295/35R19 ADVAN A052s all around
where do i get the blue oil for them then?
You can pick up a filter cleaning kit here -> www.steeda.com/sb-filters-88-0009-mustang-filter-cleaning-kit
My check engine light came on after i installed. How do i get rid of it? Thx
Reinstall the filters and make sure they completely seal around the intake tubes. We've had that happen when swapping filters in a hurry at the track
do they need a tune ?
No tune necessary!
5 of the 6 new S650 deliveries to my local Ford dealer are still sitting on the lot unsold after 110 days. 1 premium sold, 5 of the 6 were premiums, 4 different colors. Seems like the new Mustang is a flop. I wouldn't let my S550 go for one for sure, why spend more and get less? Can't be tuned, Camaro rear end, ipod dashes and higher priced were all issues as far as I was concerned when considering a new one.
But....did you test drive one? I just bought my eighth Mustang, a 2024 and believe me it's better than all the others. I can feel an immediate power surge over my 2020. My new one is a base GT, 6-speed with 3.55 gears and 255/40/18 Continental tires. You wouldn't believe how this thing blasts off. The very same day I bought it, on my way home, when I got on the expressway and leveled off, I looked at the speedo and saw I was doing 94mph, where I'm usually doing about 80. This thing is fast, smooth, and very controllable. I find myself constantly passing everything on the highway without even trying. And it still uses REGULAR gas. I urge you to take a test drive in a 2024 Mustang GT before you call it a flop. I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised.
You are playing yourself. Ive owned all years and makes and this is the best one yet..
I work at a ford dealership and I compared the price between a 23 and 24 gt premium fully loaded with no recaros, the difference in price was 1k (when 24 was first available for pricing)
We also have several mustangs on the lot, but we also have several f150s, MachEs, escapes… it’s a dealership, you’re not going to tell me that your local dealer didn’t have any s550s that were on the lot longer than 100 days
If you cant afford to get one. Don’t cry. Just keep your mouth shut. To much talking blah blah blah. I have s550 also and s650 is darn better for your info
Interest rates flop loan sells.. duhh
Why would you guys put the cover back on 🤦♂️ LET IT BREATHE!
Without the cover, it's just breathing hot engine air. Even if it had a seal against the hood, a closed lid is going to outperform an open lid.
@@steedaautosports Also, remove the restrictive carbon traps 😉
High flow reusable air filters in combination with removed intake carbon filter traps cause a ten horsepower gain without a new computer tune.
To me it doesn't. I think I breathes better to get potential gains in certain throttle pulls but for mine it shifts smoother
Through our testing we did not see any measurable gain/loss of horsepower with or without the carbon filters
I’m not a gear head. Just a guy getting into cars. I put the k&n filters on (just because they are a big company and they said it would fit, and they were out already) as well as removed my traps and it feels different. I don’t think I feel more power but yeah just like a runner, if he breathes better he runs better. That’s all I got for now.. oh I think this pay period I’ll be able to get the steda lowering springs! Then that rtr light grill followed by an exhaust system. Topped off with some kooks headers. I dream of dropping the whipple in there..
@@steedaautosports I saw the slight gain on either American Muscle or CJ Pony Parts or Late Model Restoration Supply. Every dino and climate factors cause slightly different readings though.
@@steedaautosportsYou won't have or see much gains with filters alone. Literally have 8 in of intake tubing which is pretty much maximized. Let's be honest the one horsepower gain may have come from just fresh new filters. I see a flaws in the design of the intake system.
