Before I got my wheelchair people would always think I was faking or just being dramatic. I was never "disabled enough" for people. It used to annoy the shit out of me! I'm with Robyn, it'd be interesting to see how your CP affects you since we're all so different.
Breaking bad was actually the first time I was exposed to Cerebral Palsy and thats when I dug into the cause and such to the body because the character had speech difficulty and science is just complicated. This is irrelevant but that is actually how I got into chemistry. And yeah, when you were talking about your time troubles when that kid thought you were faking your difficulty to walk, it reminded me of the time when I was younger and my grandparents couldnt find a parking spot. I mean we all know disabled parking spots are always free and it was jam packed too. It was the only available spot so we ended up parking there and my grandma told us a plan so the parking guy would believe that there was someone disabled in the car, cos I know theres some sort of "parking law" if you didnt have this disabled sticker in the car, youd be fined. So yeah, she formed this master plan before we got off the car. So me and my grandpa assisted her to get off the car and held her in each of our arms and walked past the parking guy and until we passed maybe 20ft we just strolled casually. Grandparents are the best ^-^

A AK show called Attitude is cool check it out on UA-cam. We need in the US. I understand not being disabled enough, for people to understand. I have mild cases of Tourettes, arthritis, sciatica, adhd, dyslexia, bipolar, and audio processing disorder. Forest Gump said it best "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you get" Some mornings I feel "normal" low in tics, pain, etc. And other days "OUCH!" So I can relate.

Actually, let me amend that statement. It didn't just annoy me, it really bummed me the heck out! On the flip side, I did some background acting for a while and I used to think, "okay this director didn't know he was getting a disabled girl so I'd better try to walk as straight as I can." And invariably someone on the crew would freak out, as if I was hurt and insist I see the medic. Talk about embarrassing!
