Honestly if you like Stalker over tarkov play gamma. It hyper extends the hobo phase and in my opinion is fair well thought through. If you like tarkov but want pve Play EFP
Gamma doesn’t allow weapon or armor purchasing. But in MO2 if you disable “GAMMA economy” and enable “trader overhaul” it will add those back to trader stock.
@@sonof2tards I'm doing merc rn and I thought the same strategy tbh, but the psy killed me when I rushed there after spawning in dead city. Rn i'm doing Sakharov quests to get the Psy protection so I can get into Limansk for that sweet sweet loot. First merc run n it's actually a blast.
@@meowmymix3957 I got some psy protection and am doing raids in Limansk every night with the NVGs. The loot is awesome and these monolithians can't see me in the dark
It has to do something with 2d scopes in BaS. Aka low recoil in configs, which isn't new since most late game BaS guns have been laser pointers ever since.
The thing thats really putting me of is that at around 1:06 he is putting at least 15 bullets into the guy, like bullet sponges are the absolute cheapest way for increasing difficulty.
That's just what Stalker does. I suppose the way to explain it is that the armor is more advanced than normal, but even then it really doesn't make much sense. But I suppose if every time you went out if you could just tap people in the head with a single round that wouldn't be as fun and would make most missions a litteral cake walk.

I've played the mod for couple more days and man I gotta be honest I think its a lot better then Gamma on second thought. The progression feels so gritty and every loot feels needed in the beginning, and character progression is so much deeper in EFP with a lot more skills, and a complete trait learning system. In general the games and all its mods are a lot more customizable in the MCM menu as with Gamma a lot of mods are baked in and hard to deal with as you either cant disable or have to reinstall the mods to get different options. Also after looking through the MO2 load list I found the mod to get rid of all the colors and I gotta say the mod is really starting to feel great.
@@booboocrycry2053 In the MO2 load list of EFP, its under the QOL separator under the mod name - (Fujin) Background Colors Highlight just untick the mod and that should take all the color from player and pc inventory . There's still color on the stats bar but I actually like the color there it makes stats more distinguishable and is fully customizable to whatever color you want. but if u don't like the color there in the middle stats as well, I haven't tested that but its apart of the ui mod and if you want it completely void of color everywhere you will have to either get another ui mod or the easier way just mess with the colors inside the MO2 mod menu in game for the simplified vision ui and change it to clear or grey colors like usual ui's.
I never liked how bloated EFP felt, I doubt this version is much different. The economy is ridiculous too, even when tweaked through the settings. That's what really put me off.

Yes change the binds in the MCM menu its called BHS toggle ui or something like that if you want it to be H like in Gamma just change it and the conflicting keybinds right above it to another bind and you'll be able to toggle the ui on and off.

1. Its slow because there isnt much to do in base Anomaly aside from running around looting and doing the same fetch quests over and over. Its simply not engaging to immediately get geared up in a day, and go roflstomping around the entire zone. Tarkov suffers from the same problem, but gets around it with seasonal resets and PVP. 2. As for unrealistic, this is too vague, so i can only imagine what you mean by this. I'll give a few examples of how Gamma tries for better realism: calories of food items adjusted to be realistic. headwear that doesnt have a visor wont show raindrops on screen, armor ratings have been adjusted for realism, run speeds depending on equipped armor has been adjusted, loadouts for stalkers has been adjusted for better realism, caffeinated items have been balanced to make sense, etc etc etc.
If you want more Tarkov style gameplay mixed with stalker atmosphere go for EFP. if you want the to play stalker THE WAY IT SHOULD BE PLAYED. play GAMMA.
EFP is all about tacticool weaponry and gunfights. All the other Stalkery stuff (radiation, artefacts, the Zone, lore, etc.) is all secondary. GAMMA is more balanced, it tries to be a mixture of everything. The tacticool weapons are still there if you want to use them (because it uses the same Boomsticks and Sharpsticks mod that EFP does) but all the other Stalkery stuff is just as big a part of the game as the shooting. Also GAMMA is massively about crafting.
I'm not sure having the lack of access to basically any weapons and armors etc. from the traders or even the ability to sell most items is the way it "SHOULD" be played.. many of the core gamma mechanics and rebalances just make it so you have a lot of pointless busywork that don't really make that much sense. Or stupid stuff as in you can't rest until you're exhausted.. dude.. you can take a fucking nap or rest your eyes for a hour or two even if you're not completely exhausted. And yes.. some stuff can be disabled but a lot of it also makes gamma unstable and it wont even launch after tweaking certain aspects( even if you make sure you've dealt with the linked mods accordingly) because it's tied to the modpack experience as a whole. EFP in the other hand seems more modular and free form (You want something.. you add it.. you don't like something.. you get rid of it or tweak it.) and more true to the original stalker feel with just a slightly more punishing, dark and gritty experience IMO. My suggestion.. get EFP as a base and then make it your own by adding or disabling some mechanics. Gamma is too stuck to it's busywork mentality and wont allow you to properly tweak it without serious issues.. But hey.. this is my opinion.. so do whatever the hell you want to do :D
@@punpun3765 Nope. People have been claiming that Gamma is the true stalker experience. While it can be argued that efp is "closer" to the true stalker experience, it is not the true stalker experience due to many overhauls. Heck even this can be applied to vanilla anomaly.

When you’re in game, go to progression settings and select one of the presets. It’ll put the vanilla economy settings for those presets

The HD Models don't work with EFP 4.0, sadly. They use a different mod but it doesn't cover all models I think.
