Listening to Viking is like being in the middle of an electric storm and you are the lightning rod. It is safe to say Russian-core needs to be a new genre and Slaughter To prevail the definition of the word. This song shows clearly the band stepped into a new stage of their career and- if it isn't just a rumor- their upcoming album this Winter, will be in Top 3 Album of the Year.

I was curious about why a Russian band was doing a viking song. I found out that a huge population of Russians are descended from Viking bloodlines. Thought that was a really cool piece of history.

Seriously, at first, this type of music, it didn’t mean much to me, I was more in power metal, symphonic, and it’s thanks to bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse, Bloodywood, Slipknot, The Hu that I really began to appreciate the sick grawls, and sincerely, Alex is a real vocal roller coaster, and Evgeny on drums is a virtuoso!
I appreciate more and more this type of metal, the dense and extremely impressive lyrical and musical construction is a real happiness for my ears!
