EP47: Fantastic Fraser Island (K'gari) | Maheno Wreck, Eli Creek, Lake Mckenzie | Lap of Australia

- We drop Archie off for a few days and head over to the World Heritage listed Fraser Island for a few days. Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world at 1840 sqkm's and there is so much amazing places to visit.
While here we check out the amazing Maheno Ship Wreck which lies on stunning 75 mile beach. Drive all the way up to Indian Head where the waters turn a beautiful turquoise colour. And stop by Eli Creek and spend the morning chilling out, waiting for the tides to recede.
On our final day we treat ourselves at Kingfisher Bay Resort and visit the incredible Lake Mckenzie where we couldn't resist jumping in. Then finally did a short walk around Central Station.
We are Hannah, Chris and dog Archie, setting off on a 12(ish) month trip around Australia - our BIG Staycation, with the whole of Australia as our backyard! We've quit our jobs, rented the house and gone from never towing a caravan, to touring the country full time with one! We're learning as we go! / staycationoz

My wife and I enjoy your videos, I was wondering what the ATM is on caravan and what does it actually weigh?
And are you happy with the Ranger?
Hi Steve, Thanks so much for watching our videos! Our ATM of the van is 2776Kg and when we got it weighed before the trip we sat around 3200Kg in total. Very happy with the Ranger, hasn't missed a beat and it tows the van with ease, is also SUPER fuel conservative, we get around 15L/100KM when towing and around 8L/100KM when not! Thanks again for watching!
*the ATM is 3300kg. The tare weight was 2776kg

Hi Mike. Kingfisher Resort is owned by Accor Hotels, so if you have an Accor Loyalty card you can collect points and get money off your stays (or free if you have enough points!)
