Ill never forget seeing Chimaira open for Slayer and American Head Charge was the middle act. I have so much love for Chimaira and American Head Charge.
The intro is Epic. Refrain sounds like Alice in Chains singer, really awesome (specially 01:49). This song is one of their Gems. Really good video too, old school 90's feel.

I miss the In Flames I listened to in the early 2000s. Obviously the recordings still exist, but the band that made them doesn't. Thankfully At the Gates hasn't sold out.
For me music is all about emotion. People ask why I listen to what they call "screamo" and i just tell them theyre saying everything in a way that i wish i could say things for me. So thanks Chimaira for being my constructive outlet.
I saw that tour in the Back Room in Austin. I could be wrong (it was 15 years ago) but I swear to God that Austin got Killswitch Engage instead of All That Remains.
Since Chimaira started giving concerts in 2023, I really hope that a new album will be released soon, I've been listening to them since 2000, and I'm still my favorite band, thank you. I'm waiting for new albums and hope to see you

I met them in 2004 and they were so fucking awesome and real. They actually hung out with fans after the show unlike their touring counterparts. They saw my Ohio State jersey in Texas and brought me up on stage to help sing this song.

They are definitely one of the few *solid live bands* that I am waiting to make a major comeback aside from *Mudvayne* and *Rage Against The Machine* to be honest.

My biggest annoyance about these guys isn't the band they are great. It's the fact that some people still lump them into Nu-Metal. The only thing that is Nu-Metal about them is that type of music was a big deal at the time they came out. That's it. It's like some people from that time would just label any new band that was heavy as Nu-Metal with no consideration on what Nu-Metal even was beyond heavy stuff that was new. Which is not what Nu-Metal is. They are in no way Nu-Metal.
Their first album "Pass Out of Existence" was the closest to nu metal they've got, and even then, it had bigger balls than most bands around that time too.
@dillon1058 By the way, Rob Arnold, the lead guitar player for most of the albums, refuses to see Chimaira a NU-Metal band. While he's a really chill guy, it does seem the idea of them being Nu-Metal low-key annoys him. He tends to look at their music as a more modern version mix of the Megadeth and Pantera styles.
