I feel as though I've never seen a clear answer, but is the establishment of an LLC based on the state you work in? Or is there a more general approach? I know some friends have gotten scammed paying for "LLC prep" services and gotten burned.
I set up my LLC late last year and got a great accountant. Really happy I’ve done that.

not a state thing, use legal zoom and do it yourself!
