Hello Fellow Fans of Fast. Brace yourself: This service is real. Some years ago Porsche realized a vast number of old Porsches are still in use. They then formed a group called Porsche Classic. Porsche dealers were encouraged to incorporate the Classic idea into their service side. This gets data and part support right from the factory. I was in the Porsche Museum at Stuttgart this March, years after seeing this commercial, and when I saw the tractor it brought a smile to my face and had to take picture of the tractor. This is marketing done right. By the way, if you like cars, in that museum you will feel like a kid in a candy shop, you can get so close to legendary models! The staff is also sooo nice, even to people like me who obviously cannot afford any of their products. Ferrari could learn a thing of two and stop being the elitist assholes that they are.
@@albero319 Precisely that. I've even heard stories (not sure how true) that Ferrari makes you go through an interview process to see if you're even worthy of driving one of their cars, and that they have a contract that specifically details what you are and are not allowed to do with it once you have been permitted to purchase it. Meanwhile, Lamborghini doesn't give a flying fuck, and might even ask for pics about whatever you've done to make your ride even cooler, so they can draw on it for inspiration for the next model.
And when you are in Stuttgart anyway, visit the Mercedes Museum next. Those two Museums are one of a kind. Been there a few times, and it was worth it every time.
Well, mostly American cars, land yachts, muscle cars, old trucks, stuff like that, but I also like Jdm cars. Not really anything in particular, other that the 190z, and maybe s few others, but European cars are just not my thing. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of cool ones, and even I would like to own an old Porsche, I just can’t say I’m a real fan of them. All the same, I respect them. There are a lot of cool ones out there, I just simply think they aren’t for me.
Porsche cannot define the entirety of what makes of a car. So in that right, your wrong. Now, I can’t judge Porsche’s, because I’m not a fan of them, but I can say that they do not encompass the entirety of what a car is. Now, do they have the gas mileage of the average grocery getter?(well, maybe some do, but I’m talking about their more flagship models, what makes them the cool sports cars that they are) No. Can they outpull the likes of the Chevy 3500, Dodge 3500, or the Ford F:350? No. But they are not meant to do these things. They are not built to be a sled pulling coal rolling diesel truck, and neither are they meant to complete with the likes of a Honda Civic or Toyota Camry. They are defined as how you defined them(I can’t remember what all you said because I’m a dumbass). These things are what make them the cool sports cars that they are. But they don’t define the whole of what a car is, and therefore you cannot say that I am not a car guy because I am not a fan of them. And don’t get me wrong, I like Porsche’s. I would one day love to own an old 911, and put a wide body kit on it, and I think it would be pretty badass. But that does not make me a fan of Porsche. I will much quicker fill my garage with muscle cars and trucks and JDM cars than I will with any European car. I think they are cool, and I like them, I just simply don’t find myself a fan of them.
"Yeah, so my Porsche needs a service, the electric motor seems to be lacking." "Which model?" "8" "What? You mean 2018 Hybrid?" "No, It's 8....Pz.8?" We bought a 10 year old Panamera Turbo S - amazing car! It only had 34,000 km on it. We were treated just like folks buying a brand new $400K car. We were so impressed by the sales and service (yes, excellent service on an older car as well) that I ordered a brand new custom Macan straight from the factory. Took 8 months for delivery, but worth every penny! It handles like a sports car but has room for grandkids, groceries and garden centre finds. We toured the factory in Leipzig (they have a tractor in their museum too) and watched the attention to detail on the factory floor - just excellent cars all round.
I like how the manager looks at the receptionist's screen like "at last. I've been waiting for this moment my whole life" On a more serious note, I love how this whole ad was directed. Background music was good, but I love the actor who played the old farmer, starting off with this feeling of grumpiness as if he's only a hairline trigger pull away from "grrr I'm gonna scold these younglings for not knowing their stuff" to him being handed a box containing the exact part that was problematic and finishing the scene with him handing back the box and revealing his face now of respect, trust and gratitude.
as a manager in an outsourcing company, I'd defo have the same expression because it's one of the few times I get to flex my file organization efforts "Oh you want the data for a certain asset from 5 years ago? Sure just tell me which version... the July 2nd, July 15th, or August 6th one?"
Around 2000, I worked on an Organic Farm in Bonn, Germany. We had very old equipment, but would on occasion borrow the neighbors Porsche Tractor. It was Yellow, and from 1947 as I recall. It was either the first year or second tractor that Porsche made after the war, from tools and dies stored during the war, to focus on the war effort. It was a nice little tractor, used and maintained all its life. The Farm is Gut Ostler, in Messdorf. There has been an active farm there for over 2000 years, so maybe the equipment wasn't so old, in comparison..

Yea, I have also been to the museum and the tractor just sitting in its kind of special space says a lot, the staff for sure is very kind.
Honestly Ferrari being elitist assholes is quite on brand considering Enzo Ferrari’s reputation.
@@moritzberger2483 I did :). It's way bigger than the Porsche Museum also.
The great thing about owning Porsches regardless old or new, they always make parts available…for a price of course.
You gotta love when we portray life. It looks so nice to be alive, everyone's so friendly.
Bro oshkosh did the same thing for me. I love it when companies still honor customer service for their old vehicles.
I’m not a fan of Porsche, but this is a cool ad. Love it!
Not sure how that works, because there are more car brands than just Porsche, but ok. You do what you wanna do.
@@jordangamesvlogs9892 which car brands do you find yourself a fan of? :)
@@jordangamesvlogs9892 cool!

We bought a 10 year old Panamera Turbo S - amazing car!

I've been waiting for this moment my whole life"
On a more serious note, I love how this whole ad was directed.

I had a similar experience with Nintendo. I have an N64 game system that I bought online and when I couldn’t get it to work I thought about sending it back. On a curious thought I tried the 1-800 number on the console and the number worked as I got the tech support line for Nintendo and I asked the tech support guy if he could help me and he told me “Yes. Our tech support goes back all the way to the SNES” and I was quite surprised and he helped me to get my N54 working again. Love that kind of stuff
He enriched their history by returning their creation. What a way to appreciate.
