Id argue the M&M slogan was a lie. They said "no mess" like 10 times lol. Clearly everyone's hands needed to be washed and therefore messy.
Yes, but none of it was actual chocolate. M&Ms claim was that the hard shell prevented the *chocolate* from melting. Messy? Sure. Accurate? Technically.

I wholly agree with other commenters. The error was in the attempted brewing. It doesn't matter which type of coffee would have been in those filters. It would have been 80% water. 😂

Maxwell House is so bitter. You're correct, they didn't get the right flavor profile. They would've turned their noses much more harshly at it. As a mechanic for a small company, my owner only buys Maxwell (company loyalty), you HAVE to crack it with a bit of sugar to be tolerable.
Why were they filtering instant coffee in the first place?
@@ca5cada4eva it's not instant coffee. It's just machine brew. Also if they wanted to do a pour over, they would've had to grind it more finely.

Weird fact. There was a reason you couldn’t pour that water slowly without making a mess. Pyrex liquid measuring cups have a spout specifically designed to pour fast and accurately, for pouring an exact measurement!
So it wasn’t even links fault.

They didn’t make it right. Instant coffee melts directly into the water. You aren’t supposed to put it through a filter. 😂

They should have actually brewed the coffee correctly rather than doing a pour over brew that they didn’t even know how to do. Would have given a more accurate test.

That whole container of coffee is close to $10 and I can get a specialty coffee for under $5

Problem with the subway test is the veggie are in the cooler, so that has some effect in them being floppy.
Yeah I used to be the main opener at subway and they were technically made fresh daily. I made sure to grab the good veggies but they would freeze on the sides and some of my coworkers wouldn't care enough to make sure the veggies they grabbed were good
No excuses....never once has Subway ever had fresh food. It still all comes in a semi truck from across the nation, its all frozen, and it's all processed. Then it doesn't help that a 7 year study, 12 year study, and 20 year study have all proven Subway to be one of the most unhealthy locations in the industry

Maxwell House isn’t just instant coffee. And they butchered it. It’s meant for auto drip. They’re just used to their mocha lattes and macchiatos. It’s decent but not top tier. It’s been around for like 120 years.
That was Maxwell House grounds not instant coffee, it's supposed to be brewed. Pour over is brewing.

subway’s claim has always been funny to me because i’ve gotten food poisoning & rotten milk from there a few times lol
Ive ate subways many times and I dont get food poision maybe because the resturant???
One time when I went to a subway I peaked at the veggies on their make line and the pickles were MOLDY. I also have a friend who used to work at subway and says not to eat there. Yeah it depends on the location but overall I would say subway is nasty.
I used to work for subway. All the veggies are frozen and defrosted at the beginning of the day. It's not fresh.
Also, in Ireland’s Supreme Court, they ruled that Subway’s bread has too much sugar in it to claim it as bread. So Subway bread is actually deemed as cake in Ireland.
I can assure you as someone who used to work Subway, next to nothing is fresh!
I like how they determine Subway's freshness like the ingredients weren't dowsed with preservatives, vacusealed and stored in a freezer for days before being served.

Fun fact: a Subway franchise owner in Ireland recently took a case to the Irish Supreme Court regarding their bread. He wanted to stop having to pay extra taxes on it because bread is a staple. The Supreme Court declared that there was so much sugar in the bread that it was legally cake, so he would still continue to have to pay the value added tax.
TLDR: Ireland declared Subway bread as legally cake

I remember it had to be maybe 8-10 years ago they did an undercover taste test of coffee had people that worked for Starbucks in the panel and they all picked Folgers as the best coffee.

I really like this episode but just one thing is the font you guys used for the transition cards is super inaccessible for folks with dyslexia, and it made it really difficult to see what was being tested
