Supersensitive and with loads of guts: saying that on French National TV live! I adore him. I can't help it. This rendition is particularly moving...at some point he seems to fight tears (after "and every breath we drew was hallelujah"). He's unique. I so miss him and I just discovered him a few weeks ago...What have I been doing with my life?
Mae Underworld ohy poor friend yes where have u been its OK I just discovered this version in France now . it still hurts me 21 years on walks into a river and dies .can't get my head around it
Great song, great intro (live on french TV!) For anyone wondering... NPA means "Nul Part Ailleurs" (translated: Nowhere else). It was a famous TV show on french TV back in the 90's. Everyday a new singer/band was invited for a live performance. If you search for "NPA live" you will find many other great performances from artist of that time (and not just the top commercial ones).
For those wondering about the exact meaning of Jeff speech at the start of this vid: In 1995, Jacques Chirac became président of France and one of his first decision was to restart nuclear bomb tests in French Polynesia (Pacific Ocean). So sad and so ironic: Nuclear bombs in the Pacific Ocean. Yes it's the same guy who in1950 at 18yo signed the Stockholm Appeal (initiative launched by the World Peace Council on 19 March 1950 to promote nuclear disarmament and prevent atomic war)

"Nulle Part Ailleurs" litterally means "Nowhere else". This was the major daily Live TV talk show of Canal+ and the most successfull broadcast of the channel. Every night, it ended with a live performance of great musicians and singers from all around the planet. This was broadcast on january 19th, 1995.
So tearfully beautiful. I hang on to his every note. Missing you tonight Jeff. Rest well brother.

@DeathLetter94 I think France was testing nuclear weapons in those days, so he's probably referring to that...
