Great Amaryllis and Paperwhites tutorial, Michelle! I vote for #2 for my daughter-in-law who loves gnomes. I have grown Paperwhites in the house and it's so fun to watch them grow. They will amaze you!
Perfect timing…reminded me to go pull mine out of the basement! I love #4! Last year I collected the tiny cones from my hemlocks and used them instead of moss to cover the soil for some. Made for a nice combo of pots.🙃
I vote for the reindeer pot. I repotted four of my Amaryllis last week and will replant my other bulbs in two week intervals. Also purchased a red double bulb this year. I think I will do some decorating to my pots to make them look more festive. Great video!!
Such a timely video! I was just wondering what to do with the amaryllis I saved from last year. Decorating the pot to have something pretty to look at is such a fabulous idea. Why didn’t I think of that 🤦♀️. I always learn so much from your videos. I follow several garden channels but you are always the first one I watch. Thank you so much !!!
Definitely stealing your suggestion to jazz up the pots with holiday decor. An amaryllis fancier shared the tip that an overnight soak of the roots in water before planting greatly decreases the time it takes the bulb to “wake up” after planting & it works!
I potted 2 amaryllis a few weeks ago to hopefully have in bloom for a garden club event in December. 🤞Minerva and Appleblossom. The green stalks are currently about 6”-7”. Just today I potted 5 more varieties to have in the house for the holidays and beyond. Love your bowls, especially the snowman one. I may have to copy that idea. For the beginner, grab a waxed bulb from Trader Joe’s when then are in stock (not yet here in MA). I routinely get 3-5 blooms from each bulb, usually for about $8.
Thank you so much Michelle! My amaryllis, has green stems from last Christmas. I hope it will flower soon. You've inspired me to look at the varieties available here in the UK and create something similar for Christmas. You are so inspiring Michelle! Love your videos and your energy. Lots of love 🌺🌲🌺 XX
As I am watching this, I just realized I planted an amaryllis somewhere in my garden in the Spring .I’ll need to go outside and see if I can find it😂My friend in the South leaves hers out year round and it blooms early summer.
I love your videos! You are so inspiring and such a good teacher. I’d love to see more behind the scenes and crafts to keep us busy this winter. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us!
I love those pots, so festive! Lol- I have an amaryllis my mother in law gave me and while I love when it blooms (beautiful red blooms), the foliage gets so big it's difficult to find a place to put it. I have very limited space with good light. I secretly hope it will die because I don't have the heart to throw out a perfectly good plant and everytime i think it does die, it sprouts again and blooms- it does this a couple times a year! We on year 3, haha. I may need to try and plant it in the landscape next year. :)
I need your advice. My amaryllis has been in dormancy conditions for months but it keeps putting off green foliage. Do I have to wait till the foliage is gone? Does my amaryllis need months more in dormancy?
My Red Lion amaryllis is blooming 6 flowers. The bulb is 15" diameter, about 20 yr+. I never cut the leaves. Most of mine have 4 blooms but the bigger ones 6. The stem is 4' long and the leaves 4'-5' long and I use a large tomato cage to help hold up the leaves and stem. Note: the stem must me tied up to prevent it from breaking. The flowers are " diameter.

That’s my favorite too, Michelle! Love the legend.

Wonderful!
What a darling video!! Love the amaryllis and paperwhites together. The little scenes turned out so cute!!
I just started mine last week. I’m always amazed that this dry bulb can start to grow into a beautiful flower each year. Thanks Michelle.
I totally agree!
Your timing on this video is perfect! Just planted some bulbs my dad gave me and I was hoping to jazz it up a bit! Thanks

My mom had this plant for years every Christmas it would be in bloom.
I liked your last pot the most.
I like the nostalgia look with the amaryllis.
The snowman and deer decorated one will be the first to sell .

I may have to try a version of this with my girls class at church. So fun and they could take home to mom. Just need cheaper bulbs than $25.😊
I am sure they are out there
wonderful start to finish, great teaching, all beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
#2. I hadn't thought about these plants, but I am now.
Me too😂
Love this!
Informative and so fast and pretty!!
Fun video Michelle! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Michelle, I wish we were sisters. Or a neighbor that you liked so I could come help you plant the bowls. So fun.
lol....Coming to Seattle in February
@@gardeningTLC may need to have you come to Portland area sometime.
These are so cute!
I just got a gift of an apple blossom amaryllis. It’s planted and will be so pretty.
Yes it will
You are so talented ❤
I like all of them ❤❤❤❤❤
I love amaryllis And I keep them

I like # 4!
So pretty.
Love #1 but there all nice ❤
One of my favs too
I like the one with the deer. BTW, did your gray containers have drainage holes or are they unnecessary with the small amount of water they are given?
They did not
❤
I need your advice. My amaryllis has been in dormancy conditions for months but it keeps putting off green foliage. Do I have to wait till the foliage is gone? Does my amaryllis need months more in dormancy?
If it is putting off green it is not dormant
I love the raccoon❤
I like that one too...
It would be cute to create a little fairy garden in the moss.
Yes it would
I read that paperwhites have a stinky smell. Are there some varieties that don’t?
I suppose it is all a matter of your nose.....and what smells it likes or does not like
I bought some today when I opened the box they were already growing the stem is all bent over I hope they grow straight
Turn the container as they grow and that will help some.
My moms grow leaves for the past 20 years and never flower 😂
Do your pots have drainage holes or can you just put rocks for drainage at the bottom?
Ok you just answered that on the video. Nevamind.😅
