At first person tries to recall his inner world and trying different types of practices and doings , but he easily forgets inner world when busy in world affairs. Then there comes a time when he will become tired of every practices and doings, .. and his sensitivity start to increase. Then there comes a time when his sensitivity becomes so deep that he does not need to remember his inner world but he will get reminder and messages from everything around him and whatever happening inside or outside of him. Everything drags him inside, and he becomes so deep that he starts to understand the inner language which is soundless and formless . Then there comes a time when he will become stunned, surprised by vast beauty , by unlimited joy vaster than any ocean , stillness deeper than any valley. Then he will see his face in the mirror and will be surprised that he never saw and met this person before and everything looks utterly new.
Jeff, your book The Deepest Acceptance is a beautiful gift to the world, it is written so compassionately, I've lent it out to friends who also love it. I think all your videos including this one are bold, true and just great to watch, thanks for sharing all your wisdom, your description of the waves in the ocean is wonderful, your a natural teacher, much gratitude.
fear does not hold you, you contains fear -true self:acceptance as we truly are -we are acceptance,we allowing itself the fact that you are aware of feelings/emotions/thought, you have an enough space/room for that feelings/emotions/thought ego:I want to be awakened truth:what is already awakened?(remember the space/home that you are) even you have a feeling of frustration/limitation even the feeling of you will not have enough space of that what you really are/your true self is providing space for even that feeling you are just discovering how vast you are
yes, its good to be honest about these things. in today's world culture it isn't an easy task, until, well, it is an easy task. but the struggle should be acknowledged as to not discourage those that find out its not so easy, at first!
Wow. Hahaha ha. Yay!!!!! Jeff, I have no idea if you will see this. I have been reading and studying, haha, and wow. This says it. Thank you humbly. Vastness, waves. What a cool experience. Joy, freedom.
Initially a person pretends that he is awake. Because he thinks that ,he knows more, he talks more , he struggles more he ask more, he does more. Then one day he sits deeply engrossed into him , Then suddenly he found that he is actually sleeping but not awake. Once someone in reality found that he is sleeping , then sound of wind, then sound of word, then small action , then small gesture make him awake. This sleep is very near to awakening.
Just a couple of questions I would be so so appreciative of someone trying to answer: 1) What is 'wrong' with identifying with a self that has a name, has certain ideas about the world - has certain continuous identity markers? What is 'wrong' with that? 2) Doesn't saying 'this is who i really am- the vastness in which is world arises' just reaffirm a particular sense of self? - at some level, the mind must grip that and use it as a foundation upon which all thinking is then based? Cheers.
Jeff, you make it seem like very easy but in practice it is not so. It is hard to be in present moment and not drift into past or present. Anyways your way of explaining things is excellent, give something more for beginners. Thanks and Good luck!
Who say's it's wrong? It's just one way of living? All happens in consciousness, including notions of right and wrong. Yes there is the likely hood that some people will make mental constructs of these concepts. That's the challenge with linguistics in this subject. If you discover what the 'Vastness' is that Jeff is alluding to you will not need me to answer your first question as you will know the answer yourself in the best possible way, your own evidence. ;-))
