Great video but if the pin came out you can present it ever so slightly by hand and press it with a flat pliers, that's what I had to do and it worked.
Thanks for this video, it is what I needed to install my new Shimano Front derailleur! I had to break the chain, that didn't have a master link and reinstall the chain link.
My bike's chain has gotten loose over time and this time I decided to replace it by myself for the first time And this is very helpful since I had no idea how to use a chain tool Thanks a lot
I forgot what the 2 positions on the chain tool were for. I haven’t used one since I was a kid which is a very, very long time ago. Thanks for refreshing my terrible memory. Good video. Keep them coming. You can add me to your subscriber list.
My razor ecosmart scooter chain doesn't fit on the prongs of tool. One side does, but the other side doesn't quite reach the prom. So there's no way to center it. I have the common red chain breaker combiner. Don't know if anyone can help me on that but I appreciate it. Thank you.
I have a device but Im missing the spinning part. Im looking for a nut that has the exact threading of the inside of the device so that I can shape the end of it into the pushing pin.
What if the chains links are welded together? I got a bike from walmart but the chain links are literally welded to each other. They sanded the ends of them too so where you usually see a hole where the little pin or connector goes through, there isn't, it's just smooth & you can't see how they even got it in.
Good video that gets strait to the point I recently bought an Oxford chain tool from a local bike shop o and I am looking forward to using it. It would be good to see how to break the pin with pliers as I have a new chain 😮
im confused because my chain tool looks 90% like that one but it’s not pushing pins out, either it’s too cheap or i’m too weak. you guys make it look easy
There should be little resistance when pushing out pins unless they are badly corroded. Ensure the tool is properly positioned on the chain, and try using a penetrating lubricant on the chain to help.
I love this video because
1: You get straight into the point
2: its easy to follow
like all videos should be
And there’s a anal scene
and other UA-camr they make 20 minute video for one content

Its not working. Both the chains I used I dont even think the strongest man in the world could use this. Wont budge
Same I just left my tool on tha chain 😂
@@_Deaux I ended up using an angle grinder in the end lol
You can just use a long nose pliers I know it's late though lolll
@@keithbg1917 I used a grindstone lol

Wow, best video I've seen on the subject !!! Very well made, thanks a lot !
Great simple video
This was very helpful, thank you!
You must have really weak chains, it should not come off that easily.
My chain tool bent wtf
Bro bought it for 48¢ on Temu 💀
i owe you one
What side of the chain pin do you put the tool on and try to push the pin out? I'm sure the pin only comes out one way.
I think it works either way, but one side might give you more room to work the tool.
That was cool
Cheers dude! 👍🤟
💚 Short and simple instructions. 👍
So concise and quick
Very helpful
Very great instructions!!!!
Thank you
I have never been able to get this to work! Everyone makes it look so easy... I am frustrated beyond. What am I missing???
