Great video mate. Can't wait to hear how you got on with your walk and what you thought of the kit you chose to do it

Great video with good advice. Looking forward to seeing how the walk pans out. Decent weight with the bag. Good luck mate

Thank you I am glad I got it down as my mate did it with 15kg and really struggled if it wasn't for baggage transfer he wouldn't of made it.

That is one I would like to do as it follows on form the West Highland Way. I would like to do that one with my wife as it is a bit flatter and loads of places to stay! Thank you and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob

Makes sense not having a stove. Each to there own and do what ever makes you trip fun

It was a good choice. I have just done Offa's Dyke without one and was fine.

is your beanie (bubble hat?) really made of cotton?? We have a saying in the states “cotton kills”. Good list. Still on the fence with my stove for my September WHW walk, I am starting to play with soaking as a solution. GL on your walk!

Yh it is and that saying references the fact that if you sweat or it gets wet it is very slow at drying therfore making you cold. However because it is easily removed if it starts to rain or if you sweat that isn't a problem. I also keep it in a dry bag in my bag.
When it is a cold morning trust me it is a perfect bit of kit.
I was fine without one but it might be busyer in September so if you don't take it make sure you book where you want to have food at night. Or soaking is a good option if you don't mind it being cold.

@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk its not just cotton being slow at drying for that saying, when saturated from rain/sweat a cotton beanie will stick to your head like a wet towel sucking all the heat out. try wearing a wool beanie in the drizzling rain! even when fully saturated and soaked your head tends to feel dry because your body heat makes a tiny dry microclimated between the wool and your skin. You wont even feel the wool beanie being wet but you can then take it off and strain a small cup of water out of it like a sponge and put it back on and its still warm the whole time! Quite mind blowing when you experience this for the first time!
