Rick Springfield 💝 is the very best rock star singer and i love his performances in his concerts. I have followed rick springfield since the 80s of general hospital Dr Noah Drake. I love his performances in his concerts and his music 🎶 🎵 he is my BIGGEST ROCK STAR singer. LOVE YOU RICK SPRINGFIELD 💝💯👍🙏🎚🎤🎸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my all-time favorite songs. I've long known Rick Springfield is grossly underestimated as a musician, but he couldn't have chosen a better song to prove it.
Rick Springfield is one most talented singer and songwriter I have ever seen on the UA-cam and Facebook! He is my biggest rock star singer forever! Rick is amazing and inspirational singer and songwriter forever! Rick Springfield is a fantastic singer in his concerts! He is my rock and my guardian Angle! Love you Rick oxox!🎤🎸🙏🎚💝💯👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rick Springfield still has an amazing stage presence as much as he did in the 80's. I remember he used to play a mean guitar but didn't see him really playing it here..
I wish he'd put this album of remakes on Spotify, etc. I have the CD and listened to it a lot, well, still do. Thanks for uploading this song from that concert. 😊
It takes a very brave and very confident musician to take such an iconic tune as "Baker Street" and weave his own soul into it. Rick's version is edgier, dwelling less on the introspective and more the (auto)biographical. He nails it and makes it his own. Anyone who believes this gentleman is not a formidable presence in rock needs to go back to the beginning; only then will you understand where he is coming from. Great video, rsscott963! Thank you!
@@geraldhills41I've seen one and it was great. It sounded like the studio version. The only difference was that they used a synthesizer instead of flutes for the intro and outro.
I've always felt like a 70s music elitist because of my love of Gerry Rafferty and the Pousette-Dart Band but I am so glad to see Rick Springfield unleash the awesomeness out on his fan! GR was awesome and taken well before his time.
The video-audio version that is. I can find the audio versions and they are great, but I want to see Gerry sing it live. If you know where I can find it, please let me know.
There are at least 3 versions on UA-cam showing Gerry Rafferty singing Baker Street .. do a search in UA-cam, you’ll find them .. the official version is filmed in the recording studio, where Gerry was most comfortable. Another version was a “staged” performance showing Gerry looking very uncomfortable having to lip-sync (he hated the jumping through hoops for the record industry) for a fake audience, and the 3rd another live performance where the original lead guitarist (Hugh Burns) couldn’t be there for some reason .. and the guy who took his place made a huge mess of the guitar solo ... Gerry gives him an endearing, brief smile (“it’s ok mate .. you’ll do better next time ..”) ... enjoy..
Springfield is such a poser! And the lead guitar is pathetically weak. If it wasn't for the sax player doing yeoman's work, this whole thing would have collapsed onto itself.
@@ttownkeith Hahaha!!! Did you dig on Rick's new hold-the-guitar-down-to-the-ankles, pogo-stick, Limp Bizkit stage act too?? You are so right, what a poser. I got douche-chills watching his obnoxious spectacle.
…and to think that Sax is my last name. Thank you RS for the sax not sex clarification for many a times I have had to resort to correct misspellings of my surname and blurt out, “It’s Sex with an A-OK?”
Personally, I could have done without Rick pretending to play the guitar solo (if you watch closely & listen, his guitar isn't even turned up) and his pogo-nu-metal stage presence. And the *actual* guitarist absolutely ruined one of the most iconic leads in Rock'n'Roll guitar solo history.
I haven't seen very many guitarists try, but the few I have seen never seem to quite get there. What's amazing to me is that I've seen live performances by guitarists of some of the known heavyweights (EVH comes to mind) that you'd have a hard time telling from the original. Guess they just don't think we're listening, here. Or, that we don't care. Still,a solid cover of an iconic song.

You're welcome. If you like blues, check out Rick's version of Red House
This song isn't meant to be edgy!
I was at this show. It was brilliant.
i love this tune
This guy actually does justice to the vocals. A lot of people focus on the sax, but the vocals and lyrics are JUST as good.
Amazing remake! Whole show on my DVD is amazing!
Killa tune. And as usual.
The BOSS. OWNS IT.
Nice one
Im a fan of the lovely laura version as well.
That girl got soul.
Well done
OMG, I like his version better! Fabulous, just fabulous!
It's a good cover but pales in comparison to Gerry Rafferty's original version.
Wow, Rick's voice is sounding awfully sexy in this song. He's looking awfully sexy too.
Looking a lot like the Californication version of Rick Springfield
Love Rick and all that he does 💗
No one rocks the guitar like my Rick!!! Rroowwwrr
Greatest Baker Street cover.! the sax rocked!
Check out foo fighters cover. No sax but Gerry wrote originally for guitar
Have that one on my playlist also. No objections to it, but the sax makes the song in my opinion. 👍
@@ronaldj.downeyjr7507 I agree. Foo fighters cover is extremely good!!!
I have his this rockford dvd Super live dvd. Fantastic vioce
Me also! Rockin in Rockford!
Love Rick Springfield!! 😍
I love Rafferty’s original, but this is a great cover of it.

I was very disappointed in the foo fighters cover.
LIKE THIS VERSION JUST BECAUSE IT'S RICK. THIS SONG WAS IN THE SOUNDTRACK OF THE 80'S FILM THE LOST BOYS.. I LIKE ALL HIM DID....
I didn't used to like this song, but I do when Rick sings it!
LightSnowOvernight He sings it so well. He has a Beautiful voice.
Grande interpretazione di un capolaro musicale Gerry rafferty uno dei più grandi spre
Love that Sax!!
BETTER SINGER THAN PEOPLE GAVE HIM CREDIT FOR
Gran tema Rick ,acá de chile
Que de souvenirs ........ Merci infiniment !
I am 55, I have seen him 10 times. Hope I will get to see him again.
Great rendition. Smartly close to the original, 'cause a classic like this one is difficult to change bringing something better
Rick Springfield in ZOOT in concert November 2020 - check ZOOT facebook page for details - don't miss this!!!
Bravo, Rick!
this was fucking awesome !
Darth Teabagger I happen to like the songs that rick plays /performs but for pitty sake stop all this God darn dirogitory nonsense !Rhonda Bienes
@@rhondabienes1329, could you try not trolling? For pitties sake at leat?
I like it. The authentic live version of Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty is not found by my searches. All the live German versions are lip-syncs.
Do a search on UA-cam .. there are more versions on UA-cam now ...
Look him rocking someone else's song! So dedicated!!!
He good do the Hollywood bowl easy!!! Damn it.Do it!!!
Lets make some money,

Awesome job Rick!!!!!
80'S LAST GOOD DECADE FROM THERE IT'S GONE DOWN THE DRAIN.
Does this man ever age?
Looks like I'm at the right business, being a musician
He has the 'Tom Cruise Syndrome'
Super,....
Wow, what a cover! It sounds so much dirtier on tenor sax than it did on alto. I'm impressed.
Well done, Rick!
Sax kicked ass!
oh SHITTTTT, he is swinging his arms, watch out for the lights Rik
Nice rendition. The hyperactive camerawork and video edits are distracting.
C'est une bonne reprise de Gerry Rafferty. 👏et merci Rick .

Trying to challenge Brett Michaels to see who points more in a song...

No lo se Rick.... :v
The guitarist didn't do the solo right.

I love Rick's vocal but that sax is flat.
that crowd sucks

6 outa 10 but could I have done better? NO
Nope!
LAME guitar solo - not hard to learn, lazy in my opinion - ruined the whole song for me!
Musicians should stay away from drugs, when they get high the make awful performances like this one
Julio Iglesias cantando Baker Street me da risa... LAMENTABLE. 😂😂😂😂
