As an introvert one of the reasons I knew my husband was the one was because it didn’t drain my social battery to spend time with him. He just felt like home. He felt like an extension of myself even from the beginning. I do love this concept of houses though!

I totally get this. I’m pretty introverted and my husband is extroverted and always talking to strangers and making friends. He is the only person I can never get tired of. My best friend, I love her but I can’t take several hours of her. Guess I chose the right man when I got married. He helps bring me out of my shell but also respects my introvertedness lol.

I was actually thinking of making a house like this as a Residential Rental for a family I had in mind. It'd be a child sim and their parents in one house, the grandparents in the other, and the parents would own the building and let the elders live there rent-free.
Can you pick the amount they pay for rental fees? I want to get this pack so I can do similar things for my legacies 😢

I would love to see a video of the actual build - I know lots of people like the decorating so speed builds are popular, but I am trying so hard to build and I find a full build (perhaps minus furnishing or speed through some of that) super helpful.
A tip for helping build is find real floor plans online ! I also struggled to build but love to decorate and since I started using real floor plans it’s gotten way easier!
I love the concept of the house. It's a cool idea. I'd find it okay living in two separate houses if it was my bestie, but my with my partner it just seems so wrong. At least in my brain. I'd wanna live with my partner and just have a small separate space that I can go relax and chill without them. But I do like the concept of the houses
Frida Kahlo and her husband had a house like that. Two seperate but a bridge connecting them. So cute!
My best friend and I talk about wanting to live like this all the time. If we had the income to build something like this it would be the dream.

In Sweden we have several words to describe various living conditions like these. An unmarried couple living together are called sambo, the word meaning both the act of "same-living" and the person who is your "same-liver", and in the eyes of the law they pretty much have all the same rights as a married couple.
A married or unmarried couple (more than dating gf/bf relationship) living in different homes are called särbo, "apart-living". Many särbo have tried living together and decided it's not for them, and some know from the start that they would rather have their own home.
Single people like me, whether we have kids or not, are called ensamstående (alone-standing), although that term is sometimes replaced by självstående (self-standing, which sounds almost like the Swedish word for independent).

environmental biologist here! we love aquariums & pets as long as the person is taking proper care of them 🥰 (same goes for Zoos & Aquariums, there are so many that take great care of their animals & are doing incredible work for conservation & education that we want to see do well & have lots of visitors; there are also some that absolutely deserve to be shut down)
This is the dream setup for me! Spend time when you want and space when you need it.

A friend's parents live in separate houses a block from each other. They visit each other almost every day and love each other very much, but they wanted to have their own spaces! I think it's wonderful that there are romantic partners out there who're so respectful of each other's needs and in sync.
I love having a little backstory for my Sims before I build! I also love watching builds and while I'm watching, I start thinking about what sim would live there!
The Clients idea is such a cool idea! I actually have a Sim that is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SIM and I would love to see how you interpret her life and the type of house she would live in. I played with that Sim for years until she passed away and all her children had children.

I started making sims for my builds years ago when you said you did that originally and I find it so fun. I’m looking forward to seeing your reaction to the new lovestruck pack as well! ❤ I agree with you as well, you can’t imagine yourself not being alone until you find someone that doesn’t make being with them feel like work.
Now that I think about it, we do really need more themed objects like a remastered version of Seasons with more chimneys/fireplaces (a bit more contemporary too) and small clutter/decors. Anyway, the idea is great, pity that we can't really build working bridges like the one in Henford 😢

On the would you want a bridge house question: I am terrified of living with someone for… murder anxiety reasons so this would be great bc I could lock all my doors while I sleep but till spend the day and dinner with them easily.
I really like the concept of houses with bridges! Either connecting 2 parts of the same house, or 2 separate houses. I was building a house with a bridge in that lush part of Strangerville. Combining the bridge with desert-appropriate landscaping was really fun!

This build reminded me of one of your OG builds back when The Sims 4 just came out! Had to scroll back to check the name and it was your Let’s Play The Sims 4 Townhouses! Loved watching that series back in the day and felt so nostalgic when this build reminded me of it.

I've always wanted to do a duplex with my sister. But also something like this with a partner would be awesome! My style is very colorful and eclectic and I'd love to have full control of the design

I’m autistic and really need my own space, so it would be a dream to have my own house and my partner have another that’s connected. Or even separate bedrooms!
Or those apartments from old shows, where two apartments are connected with one balcony and people who live in both are either family or friends
I think Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton lived in 2 separate houses on the same plot when they were married, I remember seeing a video tour and it was linked by a massive basement level
One of the homes in a retirement village near me has a double wide trailer split in half with each half being decorated in different colors. They are this really funny married couple with different NFL teams so his side is Steelers and her side is Chiefs. They sit on the shared porch and talk to people but said sleeping in different rooms helped because they have snoring issues.
I thought of a fun spin on Tiny Town, thought I would share. If you start with all engaged couples, maybe just six couples. That way the center will have more room where a mini wedding venue could be. Each couple would contribute to improving the wedding venue and the goal would be to build their house and also improve the center in time for their wedding. Each couple could either have their own hobby or the same or work together on something such as one is growing fruit and the other uses the fruit in juice fizzer or nectar maker. And it would be just in time for the new pack.

I love this design for when you have a live in butler -- they get their own spaces to exist and vibe.
My partner and I are next door neighbors! Not a bridge between our houses, but I live in the front half of a triplex, they live in the back, and we have an upstairs neighbor! It works great for us because we have so much space and essentially we have a whole guest apartment if needed

I heard of three best friends who bought houses who's back gardens all backed onto one another and they took down the fences to make one big garden. I'd love to live next door to my best friends. To have flats across the hall from one another like in Friends, or to have a big town house partially split into different units for each friend.
This idea would be really cool for a set of twins.

Even if it's a little reminiscent of when husbands and wives slept in separate rooms 😂 I actually do think there are some relationships out there that can sleep in separate rooms or even live in separate houses but still have a very happy and healthy and intimate relationship together

FYI When I use the fireplace with the exposed chimney pipe I pair it with the small wall-mounted, white-framed television. It can get tucked in a little closer to the chimney and looks pretty good and understated.

I prefer curtains to blinds. Curtains can be washed. Blinds, especially if you have pets, often get damaged when the animal tries to look out the window so they end up looking tattered even more than fur-draped curtains.

I know for rent has a few issues however I have not tried playing with it yet since buying it on PlayStation so I’m definitely going to have this house for my Sim couple can live in the more warm house (my go too) and I’ll rent the other out to a family member.
I’m not into massively modern builds, but I absolutely love this

I feel like the back patios should be swapped . If Jaxton doesn’t like large gatherings, he shouldn’t have the outdoor dining table set up. Also, the house with the outdoor dining should have a kitchen that accesses the dining patio, and a sitting room in the front. Love the build though. You’re an amazing creator.

Heyy so I have an idea for a video, me and my hubby bought a house well honestly not a house but a ruine. Its a old nature stone house in Portugal. However it has unfortunately been hit by the forestfire of 2017. So we literally have a shell challenge in real live. The outside walls and some indoor walls and the doors and windowplacements are set however the rest is a real big question mark of howw.... so if you ever are at a loss of inspiration! I have a shell if your interested❤😊

I literally just made a house kinddd of like this in sulani 😂 it’s one house but it has a giant patio hang out area in the middle and it’s two siblings and their spouses and it’s so nice bc I wanna play with all of them at once but want them in slightly different houses that still feel like one 😂😂

Well it's funny you said Lindy because I'm Linda which is close and this is probably one of my favourite builds of yours especially the decor and colour choice in the first house although both are great. You really suit the colour of that jumper btw. I don't think it makes you look washed out at all. It's a lovely colour 😁. Btw, when can I move into my new house and would that make you and James my landlords 😂 😉 🤔

honestly love colour but i'd rather have the muted one, enough colour with the plants I think so it just seems cosy and relaxing
