  • Without much push in exposure, much the like the character himself likes to operate, McFarlane has made a figure out of the titular and TOTALLY original Arkham Knight from the 2015 Rocksteady game. Its finally here and I'm pretty surprised to see how much rubber this guy uses considering how much more lethal he swears to be over Batman, hmm?

Mine has loose ankles too and I wish they'd painted the legs in the red/white camo like the DC collectables version which is too tall and skinny imo. Great figure overall though. The game figs are my favorite.

Arkham Origins Batman has one of my FAVORITE Batsuit designs. One of those figs would be fantastic!

I honestly think its better that figures have very pliable rubber pieces makes it better for posing

These arkham knight figs had great sculpting but fell flat in paint, the scarecrow is almost all black

I think the revoltech is the better figure, but for the price and a lot of paint, and actual guns you could end up with a decent figure, but then you remember the revoltech let's you turn him into the red hood from the dlc

    • @DarkspiderDavid91
      @DarkspiderDavid91  2 роки тому +4

The only thing that keeps me from Revoltech, and its tough for me to explain, but its the pricing combines with the super stylized aesthetic. For the cost, I want something a bit more 1:1.

@@DarkspiderDavid91 I get ya, the styling can be hit or miss and for the older ones the implementation of the articulation is you either pose them or they'll look awful in vanilla poses, but their Arkham knight looks close to the source material, if you ever get the chance and money, I would recommend you to at least give it a try

I took the ball joints from another Mcfarlane Multiverse figure and swapped them out so the ankles wouldn't be so loose and haven't had any problems with it since

I'd prefer less or limited articulation, than these super flimsy rubber parts, They will definitely eventually fall apart in a decade, or get torn during posing (I select a post that doesn't put too much stress on anything, and leave it) It's a great figure, glad I found it at a semi reasonable price online for a change, As for tightening loose joints ? Here's one possible solution...
(WARNING THIS IS NOT THE SAFEST WAY TO DEAL WITH LOOSE PARTS) !!!
Drop a single drop of superglue on the ball of the ankle (or any loose part) and immediately begin moving that part all around in everyway it can be moved, Do not allow the superglue to solidify any parts together, Make sure you are moving all the articulated points all at the same time AND DO NOT STOP MOVING ALL THOSE MOVABLE PARTS for at least A FULL 3 TO 4 MINUTES IN ALL DIRECTIONS, or until the superglue feels dry, You should be able to feel if the glue has solidified good and dry after 5 Full minutes, Do this very fast too. Why ? if the parts are CONSTANTLY MOVING FAST, the superglue wont lock parts together, But it will solidify AROUND the ball joint (or any loose part)
And when it's dry it creates a slightly thick layer of the dried superglue (To create some friction between the moving parts, making the joint less flimsy and not flopping around loosely) And if the parts are being moved as the superglue dries ? it wont create a solid bond nor connect any moving parts, as long as you keep moving all the movable parts as it dries. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR !!!
You may have to do this more than once to make a layer THICK enough to create some friction. But keep moving the parts between each attempt, and keep moving them for at least 3 to 4 minutes or more !!! (Not all brands of superglue dry at the same rate)
But this is a risky maneuver, and I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT BE WITH SOME USELESS FIGURE you got cheap at a garage sale , or something you got free, or something damaged, or just dont care about (BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS METHOD) I have done this once and it worked,
But Again if you dont keep All The Movable parts moving ? you could screw it up, and then have to break apart a frozen joint that's been superglued together in an odd pose, and re-glue it in a permanent pose that can not articulate anymore, I've heard of people using other things like shoe polish, or fast drying Regular Glue,
Or even a tiny tiny small wad of folded toiler paper on loose parts that can be removed and placed back together like ball joint heads and arms on some McFarlane, some Star Wars Black Series, most Masters of the Universe Origins and some MOTU Masterverse figures, a wad of toilet paper will work on a loose arm ball joint, or head ball joint, But not an ankle or any part that is not meant to be removed, You may have to paint over, or trim away any exposed paper, just be careful using superglue and...
ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE GOOD MANUAL DEXTERITY !!! You'll be moving the ankle in ALL DIRECTIONS ALL AT THE SAME TIME, NON STOP UNTIL IT'S TOTALLY DRIED, it's a little risky, So test this on something of zero value, Even if the joints aren't loose, you can still determine if this method will work for you, But only if you can handle it right, PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS AGAIN UNTIL YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING DURING THIS PROCESS, BEFORE ACTUALLY DOING IT !!!! Thanks for the video, let me know if you do attempt this method ? or Google Search for a better answer than this (as this method is a bit risky) if you share this method ? Please include all my warnings and repetitive descriptions of how to do it (I dont want anyone attempting this, screwing it up, then getting angry at me) Good Luck to anyone attempting this method.

Sucks the paintwork is bad(I’m referring to all the details it’s missing) That kinda ruins the figure but if we can get more Arkham villains like how the penguin and scarecrow have been shown.

I still will probably purchase this version as well as I like the scale of it and this will look perfect next to the Mcfarlane Toys Scarecrow.
