Interesting results. I did not expect that much consistency between the 3 loads. PMC especially has a reputation for delivering subpar velocity. I would be interested to see the powder charge weights.
This is a head scratcher. Several years ago, I checked velocities from a 16" barrel on fed. lake city m855 (2014 runs?) and got averages of of 2995 ft/sec, if I remember correctly. Seems downloaded, although their m193 still gets the same results as the old stuff (unlike some other manufacturers')...around 3100ft/sec from a 16" barrel.
Dammit I want all of it,, I almost hate shooting now because every single time.. I’ll want to replace what I used,, and I like to have it all in ammo cans so Incase the rainiest of rainy days ever comes I’ll have it…
Been a customer for years, always pictured Sam as a 65 year old grandpa that gives ammo presents to all the grandchildren... Lol
I have shot pmc for years and it has always been a favorite. ..just bought 1000rd of these great rounds and good reloading brass
Sam is a great guy - extremely helpful over e-mail. Happy to be a customer of theirs.
That PMC is very constant and faster than the others glad i bought 400 rounds of it.
thanks for posting, hope you do one for M193 as well. I've been using Prvi M193 for a while but haven't personally chronographed it.
2k of the imi coming tomorrow. Thanks Sam! Golden tiger still stocked deep..

Its reputation is internet b.s.
Don’t confuse PMC XTAC with Bronze. That stuff is light.
The pmc m855 is mil spec for nato, the pmc m193 is not held to the same standard and it's slower than it should be.
Appreciate the test
Coming to check out prices now. 👍 Oh, local Okies too. 👍👍
Looks like pmc is the go to
Why pmc over the Winchester? They seemed to perform nearly the same right?
Yep definitely the pmc
Definitely the IMI
@@mfaleo5219for me pmc is mainly because it is cheaper where i am
Winchester has the Lake City contract at the moment. Lake City being only the facility.
Exceptional!

IDK but if you look up the m855 specs the velocities in the video are right on the money.
Cool. I wish you would ship to California, like Midway USA. Not complicated, just ship it to an FFL who can do the background check.
Why does the price on the Winchester ammo varies so much if it is the exact same ammo ?

Just found the channel but been a customer for years.
Typically i'll stack IMI 55gr because they have sealed primers
Pmc X-tac m193 55gr has sealed primers and mouths as well. Same with Igman m193 55gr
great place to buy your ammo .
It's a steel penetrator, not armor piercing
What does the steel penetrator do?
@@codyprice4592m855 is designed for barrier penetration, not armor piercing
