- Hell hath no fury like a woman made of snakes with the power to turn people to stone! Vraska was born on the plane of Ravnica but left after becoming a planeswalker. Now she's back and there's a new Living Guildpact in town.

When I first started playing MTG, I was obsessed with that card. Those assassins that can win the game so easily were and even now, is extremely interesting to me. A fun planeswalker, to say the least.
Vraska is so cool. She is scary and dangerous, but at the same time really awesome. I'll support you on patreon really soon, because I think you deserve that. Thanks man!

Vraska was the first planeswalker I ever played when I came back from my long hiatus from magic. She did so much work for me in so many games she really has a special place in my heart and I really hope to see her again in the story.

I feel like the only person who thinks her ultimate is just hilarious. Like, give them haste and a rouge's passage and win.
+EpicWHEAT_BIX The problem being that most of the planewalker's ult are normally impossible to do. Unless you play her in a control deck (which can be sketchy to play in control), it will be really hard to get her at the ult range
Jérémie Lépine I know how hard it is to get her ultimate off, or any ultimates off in general, I just think it's funny if you do. It's not like it's not possible, just throw out some fog spells and have some blockers and then you can get out your assassins.
+EpicWHEAT_BIX However, they're 1/1's. Meaning they can die to bile blight, elesh norn, virulent plague, etc etc.

Vraska's lore is pretty interesting and i like how we get a different look at how the guilds interact with each other.
Watching this video made me realize, Vraska seems more W/B then G/B. Ignoring the fact that she's from the Golgari, I mean as a character. Think about it, Vraska's job is to murder those that haven't received their punishment. Almost like a vigilantly. And stopping the natural circle of life and death even if your reasons are moral is not what green likes to do. Vraska's ultimate goal is to destroy the guilds. But unless I'm forgetting something I don't think she says it's to gain control of the plane. SoIf we follow her philosophy, then it's because the guilds have been running the plane into the ground with the constant fighting. Which also lines up with her gaining her spark. Where as a green Mage would be against big change rather trying to fix the existing system while white would cut what wasn't working, .You could even argue the guild system is better business for Her as no guilds means no more major targets or people to hire her. Maybe we'll see a abzan version in the future.
My theory is she's just Green because snakes.
She's also somewhat green possibly because with the guilds, an incredibly organized, unnatural society has formed (making the city plane we know). To get rid of the guilds would be to return somewhat to the natural way of things, which may be what she wants. And ultimately, the murder isn't necessarily something she _needs_ to do, just something she likes, and a good means to an end of her goal, so she does it quite frequently. She's definitely more black oriented, but the green is somewhat justified.

Green-Black has always been one of my favorite color combinations. When I saw Vraska in a Duel deck for the first time, I was amazed to see a Green-black planeswalker. I haven't had the chance to play with her yet but perhaps my friend and I could work together to buy her duel deck...
This was the the first planeswalker I was introduced to when I got back into Magic a little bit over a year ago after a 15 year hiatus! lol Absolutely loved the art of Vraska and honestly am quiet surprised to hear that she didn't see much play during her time in standard... Anyways, another great vid Sieben!

When you think about vraska's abilities, they are all so flavorwise :O. The "range of her petrifying gaze" with her +1, her assassin job with her -3 and the venomous snakes with her ult. The Vorthos part of me now want this card xD

I love Plainswalkers, both as cards and their stories, especially their stories. MTG is so awesome because of the fact that each card and each set of cards is based around a story they are trying to tell. It is absolutely fantastic.
Vraska has imo one of the most interesting planeswalkers designes, visually.

I've always like Varaska as a planeswalker. She has always interested me not only being the first and only golgari planeswalker (that we know of) but that she is such a fun card

Vraska is one of my favorite Planeswalkers featured in Return to Ravnica. I've actually built around her for a Sultai/Jund kind of deck.

I always like seeing Planeswalkers who haven't gotten a a second version get one. Can't wait to see Vraska 2.0! Also, I think she would be at home in my Sidisi EDH deck.

Certainly a interesting character. Hadn't really heard about her backstory, but now that I have heard it her abilities on the card make sense. I like her in my Jund EDH deck.

I never knew the story behind Vraska, but after hearing it I am even more excited for her to show up again.
Very sweet. I really didn't know anything about Vraska before (she was sort of one of those random Planeswalkers like Domri Rad to me). I really hope she makes a reappearance soon. She would have made a lot of sense on Theros but probably didn't want to print her two blocks in a row (since she isn't a main 'walker).
I never understood why there was a Jace vs. Vraska, but now I do. Thanks!
