"Come my friend, we have much to discuss, and not much time to discuss it." He ushered him in to his quarters. "What do you mean sir?" "I fear that I will be betrayed tonight." He turned and started preparing two glasses of wine. "Sir, everybody loves you, you're respected as the greatest strategist in our empire, and you're viewed as one of the most valuable assets to it." "I'm not so naive to think that nobody bears a grudge towards my relationship with the emperor. Now Nathaniel, if you were in my situation what would you do? With death so close, how would you handle it?" He turned back around and gave Nathaniel his cup. Nathaniel started to sweat, and looked daround nervously. "Well, I'd find the culprit and avoid the conflict altogether." Nathaniel stared at his wine as he answered, doing his best to hide the clear worry in his expression. "Your reasoning is completely correct, however, there is one gaping flaw in your plan. You are thinking as if there is only one betrayer." "I don't know what you mean by that." Nathaniel's worry was becoming more difficult to hide as sweat started to pool and drip down his face. "I mean exactly what I said, I will be betrayed by multiple people here tonight." He held his gaze with Nathaniel. "But as I said, everybody loves you." This time Nathaniel shot his head up to meet his gaze. "It's not up for debate anymore, I will be betrayed tonight, he has already set a plan in motion to kill me." At that He brought his cup to his lips and guzzled the entire thing. Nathaniel held his breath. "Who is 'he'?" Nathaniel posed the question waiting the 5 seconds for the poison to set in was agony. But something peculiar happened, 5 seconds passed, then 10, then 30. Before long a minute of silence had dominated the conversation, his eyes still staring intently at Nathaniel. He set down his cup and replied coolly. "The emperor: your master." Before a gasp could escape Nathaniel's he was already right in front of him, and Nathaniel had a knife in his gut. "You see Nathaniel," He was standing over Nathaniel with a smile on his face, "I was asking for advice on an entire empire." Nathaniel gasped, coming out weaker than he had intended. "H-how do you know?" "Like you said, I'm the greatest strategist in the world. It's my job to know." A low chuckle escaped his mouth. "The.. empire..." Nathaniel coraked, barely coming out as a whisper. "Right you are." Nathaniel looked up horrified as his eyes clouded over. "The shortest road to achieving his desires lay, he thought, through false promises, lying and cheating; for in his vocabulary simplicity and truth were synonyms for idiocy. He entertained love for nobody - if he called a man a friend it might be said he was certainly bent on ensnaring them. He would never laugh at an enemy, but always ridicule his associates. In this same manner, his enemies were safe from him, since it was never easy to take advantage of someone on their guard; but it was his particularly good fortune to discover how easy it was to rob a friend." Xenophon, writing about Menon the Thessalian, 370 B.C.

“betrayal does not only break your heart it darkens your soul, you will never forget the pain like a fog that lingers in the depths of your mind.” -Unknown
"You were always so naive! Seeing the good in everything little thing! All the while your greatest enemy was never out there! It was right here, laughing, fighting, and crying with you! All to one day witness this look on your face. It fills me with such joy. Makes the betrayal worth every second spent having to see your disgustingly innocent face twisted in shock and horror." - some random line I came up with for a betrayer
Bro on a deeper level it seems like a man is talking to himself, because we are our own greatest enemies. Every time we say I’ll do it later, or I have time is probably our inner self betraying us and this seems like a monologue for explaining and putting that to words
@Secession Studios I want to write a scene to this. The song starts out and we see a man being sent with his wrists tied in front of him by two guards down the dark hallway. He wears beige rags and is beaten up with bruises on his cheek and eyes. At the end of the hallway, they forcefully turn him to meet his fate. A giant cathedral like room, filled with people and creatures who follow a demonic religion in a dystopian world where the evil reigns supreme. The chants and drums kick in, he realizes what is about to happen as he is walked down the white line surrounded by black hoods on either side that chant in another language. His family are held back. His screaming wife and daughter. He is walked up the steps and read his sentence. The strings kick in and he is tied to the scaffold. Mirias, our character is guilty of a false murder. The sentence doesn't matter. Framing innocent victims just to torture, kill and eat them is how the religion gains its twisted followers. The build up and the pause and sharp strings, the executioner also wearing a black hood comes up with carries a sharp pointed weapon as the other hooded creatures circle him, ravenous and hungry. The music is loud they strike. He takes each cut, stab and torture like a man. It's like a dark ritualistic and horrific execution of an innocent man betrayed and sent to die. The very end of the music is when he raises his eyes to the sky and the blow is delivered. The piano after is when you zoom out from above his bloody body. The end note and the drum as when his body disappears as the black hoods swarm him, to devour their next meal.
"Ghost, come in, this is Price! We're under attack by Shepard's men in the boneyard! Soap, hold the left flank! Do not trust Shepherd - I say again, do not trust Shepherd! Soap, get down!" - Captain John Price (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2).
"He said it was only going to be a questioning. We let them cuff us, bag us in a cell. An hour later we were pulled out, and ordered to put out hands up. I watched my best friend die that day. Seconds later, they shot me, too. I lived to tell the tale, with burning rage and a need for revenge." -Tales from DayZ
YouSeeBigGirl is one of those songs that are great for the emotional destruction and rage of a betrayal. Whereas, this track perfectly embodies the dreadful buildup, shock, and lust, hunger, a WANT of revenge. You were betrayed by someone you loved, and they cause both you, and countless others so much grief and pain, and you're going to make them pay, and you're going make make damn well sure that it hurts.
"The anger of a good man is not a problem. Good men have too many rules." "Good men don't need rules. Nows not the time to find out why I have so many."

Dragged down to the gallows Betrayal echoes in my heart With every step fear casts it's shadow From the dark 🌑 I hear a scream To the gallows we are made to March No fear of death! No desire for vengeance! Betrayal has emptied my heart Set me free from this cruel dark world Let me reunite with the lover behind the mask.
I have an entire story that stemmed from this song, and I’m proud to say it. Even now, it invokes such an amazing sense of just… fear. Goosebumps, every time. Here’s a line that this song inspired; “Raise your blade and pray that Hell is more merciful than I.”
We came so far alongside you. We bled with you. We prayed with you. We fought alongside you. We had our defeats, and we had our victories. But less and less you visited our camps. You spent more time with the nobles and forgot where you had come from. You warmed your bed with a string of noble ladies as a guest in the palace while we froze in the tents beyond the walls. Then one day, you ordered an attack in which you couldn’t bother to attend. Good men died...friends we had grown up with in our village long before we started this rebellion. From atop the palace walls surrounded by men in gilded armor who’d never swung a sword, you gave a beautiful speech in honor of...your...victory. It was a speech worthy of a man wanting to become a King. I approached you and those men held me at bay. You smirked and said nothing as they did so. It was then I knew my friend had died. So in killing you, I am not betraying a friend. I am killing the sort of enemy we both shared. I can think of no better way to honor his memory than to put into the ground the grotesque charade calling itself his name. Those gilded men will soon break down the door and cut me down. They’ll sing your praises and curse my name. But for the dead there is no shame or glory. Only a dark silence. So before we both die there are two things I wanted you to know... You will never be a King... And I have kept the faith.
I'm currently forming a cohearant timeline for a story that is - I shit you not - like 10 years in the making. And this is just the PERFECT music for a very particular point. It's where the protagonist - a doomed king - learns that a fellow monarch he was to be making peace with was assassinated by her youngest heir. This was, for reasons, his only chance for an heir. And what follows is an unprecedented act of rage by the King which causes him to open himself up to speculation, resistance attacks, and emotional instability for the rest of the story. (Yes this is a tragedy. And a grimdark one XD) Honestly thanks so much for being oh so talanted. It's hard to find music which makes my brain ITCH like this
"Some say the Sun rises while the Moon falls but its only a cycle of exchange between the light and the dark that allows us to function in this perfect world" ~ A young poet
“I could not see the person i once called friend, for the monster who took my sight also, end my life. That sword which burnt as hot as the sun stroked though what was left of my cold empty heart. I will never forget that feeling nor will i ever forgive you.” A line from a story i making, still a bit in the works but this scene is one of my favorite to talk about when you know it talking about “the day of eclipse”
“The most civilized place in the world,” murmured Father Yarvi. “Though that mostly means folk prefer to stab each other in the back than in the front.”
I unironically listen to succession studios (on Spotify) & recognized the title. It was like seeing your best friends on the news, especially with the view count.
Some quote about betrayal never coming from an enemy by Skipper would probably fit well here, but instead I'll just tell you that it also applies to your friend being an imposter in Among Us and they kill you first.
“What have I done to deserve this? I protected the kingdom, I slayed many enemy’s with my sword and hands all in the name of Philionos…. Why must I, the captain of the knights, be sentenced to death?… Why must someone like me be treated like a traitor! WHY MUST I SUFFER MORE AFTER EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM ME!? WHY MUST THIS FAILED KING LIVE!? After all I done… he send soldiers to my house, kill my only son, raped my wife and daughter, burned down my house!… This failed king, Philinos, must pay for his treachery, MUST PAY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE! Stripped my rank, killed my wife, kidnapped my daughter, killed my son, burned my house and now… he threatens my life… I know what must be done…. And I will get my revenge! No matter what it takes… this failed king… no… this tyrant WILL DIE AT MY HANDS! HE WILL PAY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE!”
There is a reason why so many fear the grave: the living forget with time, stone weathers, and steel corrupts. But the grave does not forget, not is it forgiving. All lie equal at it's mercy.
This music over the years has been the reason for self improvement being honest with you guys music sometimes power to understand how to learn and grow up to make things easier to handle when times get ruff and growing in stress of life kicks you in the ass and you dust your self off and give him the glory to be able to get back up no matter whatever happens when the time is up

"Have I made things right, father?" The man smiled, even as he fingered the dagger he often had strapped to his thigh. "Almost, my son, almost." "What more needs to be done?" he cried. I love this song so much! I started to write a new fantasy book last night and I listened to this while writing a section where the main character was having a dream/vision and the song fit so perfectly with what I was writing as the dream/vision
1:12 “Jealousy is my name, for it is the very fuel that feeds my soul. I saw his happiness, and I did covet what was not mine. I saw her beauty, and I did feel captivated by that innocence. I witnessed their love grow and cover me in a shroud that I could not escape.. I listened to their cries when my anger erupted; I laughed at their suffering when their fear came to life; I devoured their lives as they pleaded for liberation. I am the hunger inside your mind, I am that which pushes the black curtain open, I.. am.. Strahd..” ~ Strahd Von Zarovich.
"Reveal yourself!" I yelled at him, or perhaps her, there was no were they could go left. There I was standing in the middle of this field in ruines facing my ennemy. They turned to me, looked like they hesitated for a bit and then finally takes of their mask "no..." i say taking a step back from the shock and tripping on something hard behind me
I'm all about optimism in life, but every time I hear this track it puts me right there, in the centre of unescapable darkness, and I'm trapped, hypnotised. This is why I love your work, it sucks one in.
*sigh* "hate..hate is a powerful tool when in the wrong hands When people who are dead inside feel it it doesn't overwhelm them because hate is an emotion and they have none But when in the hands of someone who feels then it becomes fatal..dangerous..deadly Why... "Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn." - Alfred Pennyworth
I can’t believe you have such an underrated amount of views and subscribers. Guess that just means that you are the legend that gets to be told over campfires and late nights, while resting during long journeys, before every final battle to invoke the spirit of every ancient warrior.
"Fear not he who pierces the body, for wounds can heal. But fear he who has a place in your heart. It's all to easy to burn it from the inside out. And you may peice yourself back together, but your heart will forever remain an ashen, smouldering spark, ready to be set ablaze once more."
'Seven' is an unwieldy number. Across the gloomy sea. Across the carmine sands and the lurid, violet jungles and the brazen veldt. To the Mountain, blazing bright! To Nidah. Her basalt walls are broken. Bloodshed stains her gemstoned streets. This close, the light of the Mountain is savage. Lenses of sapphire protect my eyes as I march along the Avenue of Lament. At its end, beyond a statue of the first Presbyter, is the funereal facade of the College of Mortality. Grey. Grim. My detachment has penetrated furthest into the city. Batuk is at my side, bearing the Seven's apple-and-ploughshare banner. "This is it," he bellows, over the sound of battle. "The last time, this is as far as we got." My moment is at hand. But seven is an unwieldy number. One is much more straightforward. I clap Batuk on the shoulder. Then I reach up and pluck his sapphire lenses away. He screams as his eyes boil. I retrieve his fallen banner, tie a length of red silk to it, and raise it high. At my signal, my assassins strike at the remaining Seven. My second-in-command curses and draws her pistol, pushing her way towards me. Fortunately, I identified her as one of Isery's agents several months ago. My men, forewarned, fire first. I give an order. My gun emplacements begin methodically shelling the College of Mortality. Its mortuary-friezes vanish in clouds of dust. Holes are blasted in the walls, revealing glimpses of a facsimile-paradise: chambers of extravagant wealth; gardens of fruit-heavy trees; seraphically-beautiful servants, now shredded by shrapnel. Perhaps I will repair it and make it my palace, when the once-Presbyters of the College surrender. Ah. There we are: a white flag. A rag of dusty bed sheet, but the most beautiful sight in the Neath. It means the city is mine. It means the Mountain is mine. It means eternal life is mine. And mine alone. --Sunless Sea

Nathaniel stared at his wine as he answered, doing his best to hide the clear worry in his expression.
"Your reasoning is completely correct, however, there is one gaping flaw in your plan. You are thinking as if there is only one betrayer."
"I don't know what you mean by that."
Nathaniel's worry was becoming more difficult to hide as sweat started to pool and drip down his face.
"I mean exactly what I said, I will be betrayed by multiple people here tonight."
He held his gaze with Nathaniel.
"But as I said, everybody loves you."
This time Nathaniel shot his head up to meet his gaze.
"It's not up for debate anymore, I will be betrayed tonight, he has already set a plan in motion to kill me."
At that He brought his cup to his lips and guzzled the entire thing.
Nathaniel held his breath.
"Who is 'he'?"
Nathaniel posed the question waiting the 5 seconds for the poison to set in was agony. But something peculiar happened, 5 seconds passed, then 10, then 30. Before long a minute of silence had dominated the conversation, his eyes still staring intently at Nathaniel. He set down his cup and replied coolly.
"The emperor: your master."
Before a gasp could escape Nathaniel's he was already right in front of him, and Nathaniel had a knife in his gut.
"You see Nathaniel," He was standing over Nathaniel with a smile on his face, "I was asking for advice on an entire empire."
Nathaniel gasped, coming out weaker than he had intended.
"H-how do you know?"
"Like you said, I'm the greatest strategist in the world. It's my job to know."
A low chuckle escaped his mouth.
"The.. empire..." Nathaniel coraked, barely coming out as a whisper.
"Right you are."
Nathaniel looked up horrified as his eyes clouded over.
A little different from a classic betrayal, and the end/flow could use some work, but I'm proud of it

The second half is a rough read. Definitely needs to be cleaned up to figure out what is going on.
"Someone who stands up after its fall gets stronger that someone who never fall."
"Those who don't know the pain of betrayal can never appreciate the value of loyality."
In this same manner, his enemies were safe from him, since it was never easy to take advantage of someone on their guard; but it was his particularly good fortune to discover how easy it was to rob a friend."
Xenophon, writing about Menon the Thessalian, 370 B.C.

The fact that this song was able to turn 800 people into poets means it's good 😂😉
That’s the beauty of music.

Hello There..
“betrayal does not only break your heart it darkens your soul, you will never forget the pain like a fog that lingers in the depths of your mind.”
-Unknown
I fought for a year so it could not darken my soul. And I'll never forget this fight. Hardest I've ever fought.
"You were always so naive! Seeing the good in everything little thing! All the while your greatest enemy was never out there! It was right here, laughing, fighting, and crying with you! All to one day witness this look on your face. It fills me with such joy. Makes the betrayal worth every second spent having to see your disgustingly innocent face twisted in shock and horror."
- some random line I came up with for a betrayer
I’m so gonna use this later
Definitely something Tanya herself would say after bringing Shao Kahn to Edenia that one fateful day...
Iago from Othello.

To the gallows we are made to March
No fear of death!
No desire for vengeance!

Let me reunite with the lover behind the mask.
Inshallah! Alhamdulillah!
I have an entire story that stemmed from this song, and I’m proud to say it. Even now, it invokes such an amazing sense of just… fear. Goosebumps, every time. Here’s a line that this song inspired;
“Raise your blade and pray that Hell is more merciful than I.”
🌷beautiful.
And a grimdark one XD)
Honestly thanks so much for being oh so talanted. It's hard to find music which makes my brain ITCH like this
"Some say the Sun rises while the Moon falls but its only a cycle of exchange between the light and the dark that allows us to function in this perfect world" ~ A young poet
Here comes the legend himself.
“I could not see the person i once called friend, for the monster who took my sight also, end my life. That sword which burnt as hot as the sun stroked though what was left of my cold empty heart. I will never forget that feeling nor will i ever forgive you.”
A line from a story i making, still a bit in the works but this scene is one of my favorite to talk about when you know it talking about “the day of eclipse”

“The betrayal you can see coming is trivial, but the betrayal you cannot see is much more frightening and lethal” - Sōsuke Aizen.
"Give money to your enemies and friends. Make them rich. Then let it decide whom is whom" - Ultron, Avenger Age of Ultron
Some quote about betrayal never coming from an enemy by Skipper would probably fit well here, but instead I'll just tell you that it also applies to your friend being an imposter in Among Us and they kill you first.
"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Secession Studios, how do you manage to relate so much with your music in specific times? You're a legend.
Who said that? That sounds familiar
@@seanbell1842 i think this is from gladiator.. if i'm not wrong.
The past is a relentless hunter, it never fails to catch its prey. In betrayal, it will herald your name.
“You should have realized how much you needed me, before I realized how little I needed you.”
To the gallows.
To darkness,
to death.
To pain,
misery,
anger.
A death,
but,
not one to forget.
There is a reason why so many fear the grave: the living forget with time, stone weathers, and steel corrupts. But the grave does not forget, not is it forgiving. All lie equal at it's mercy.

“Jealousy is my name, for it is the very fuel that feeds my soul. I am the hunger inside your mind, I am that which pushes the black curtain open, I.. am.. Strahd..”

"The last time, this is as far as we got."
My moment is at hand.
