The Pacers could blow out the Nuggets in a game and the media would spend 8 minutes about how the Nuggets lost, 3 minutes about how this might impact the Lakers in the standings, and just mention the Pacers team for 10 seconds because they were the other team in the game. We don't get mentioned unless it's to be disrespected and underestimated. If it's such an easy series for the Knicks, sit back and enjoy. We'll see. It will not be easy at all. McConnell is going to shred the Knicks in the paint, and who matches up with Siakum? Brunson scored 39 and 40 points respectively in the Knicks 2 losses to the Pacers this year, and they barely scraped by on their only win. Why anyone is writing Indiana off is beyond me. The defense is much improved as well.

Exactly,it's got more to do with their rebounding,if you give the opposition more chances to score obviously your defensive stats go down.If Pacers control their defensive boards it will be tough on the Knicks to beat this team.

The Pacers do have some very solid perimeter defenders. They've changed to a more defensively oriented lineup, particularly since Hield was traded. Nembhard and Nesmith aren't playing Hield's matador style of defense and play hard on defense and hustle relentlessly all game. Rookie Ben Sheppard has also shown quite a bit of promise and hustle as well. The Pacers' most glaring weakness is rebounding, not defense in general. Turner and Siakam need to have a very good series. Nembhard will probably be guarding Brunson. The Pacers will need to use their speed and superior depth to win.
