I WANT A BLUEBERRY FROG POT! He's so cute, sitting atop that giant blueberry! That whole set is great...I think the pink accents really work. I would 1000000% buy a lidded frog pot. I already scored a little jar from Rose Schmits (the studio tech from Great Pottery Throwdown UK), and I could add a blueberry frog pot to my (one piece) collection, LOL.
Have you seen those surprise tankards with a little frog on the inside wall that spits beer at you?! Google 19th century Staffordshire frog tankard mug. Those would be fun frogs to make. 🐸
@@SylviaMallory1 I was already reminded by Mia's frog of my first mug, which had a little green frog at the bottom, and with your comment, now I know what probably inspired it. My mother surprised my brother, sister and me (we were maybe 6, 5, and 4 years old at the time) with them for our Sunday coffees. Finding the little frog when I got to the bottom is one of my favorite childhood memories. Mia, I love your tea set! 🐸
it reminded me so much of that person who makes frogs but mixed with different things like fruits. I'm pretty sure she has a blueberry frogger (a frog but looks like a blueberry)
I am so sad that this series is over. I've been watching the throwdown, and the whole time thinking about what you were going to do with it -- I can't wait until the next one!
I don't think I'll be selling these ones (I'm too attached 😅😆) but I'm going to be updating my webshop in a week or two with lots of pot using the same glazes. Maybe you can find something you like!
Absolute Perfection!!! ... I love it!! What about a Dragonfly as an animal on top, as it keeps with the theme!! Only suggestion I had for the sugar pot, was a Teaspoon gap, so you can keep the spoon in & the lid closed. Could you do a Honey pot with a Bee on top too? Throw some yellow accents in, with this colour scheme, so the pink doesn't feel so out of place. But, ultimately, this is divine! Not as dainty as I thought you would do, which to me is Perfection, because I, personally like substance! Great work!! Definitely a set to be proud of & display, as well as use!! Hello & gratitude from the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia
emma in the moment did a video a while ago about The Great British Sewing Bee, which 100% sounds like a TV show you’d like 😭😭 There’s also like a Danish knitting show they made a video on?? They make a lot of cool videos about artisanal things, like textile crafts and commentary
I like the whistle background music a lot. Nice pick. The animatic of the project that pops up is also cute. I love the teapot & I adore the petal motif in all the pieces. You *should* be proud of what you’ve done
I legit did a little happy (hoppy?) dance when the little froggo made it out ok :) Feels like you read my mind with this entire set right down to the glaze colours- first things I want to make when I can afford a wheel. I think the pink is just the perfect nod to whimsy fairy garden. Great work.....and yes to more little animals. On. Everything. ❤
You've created the perfect Alice in wonderland tea set. You look stunned that it came out so great. You should be proud. It would have won if entered into the competition. 👍🍵
Adorable! I love garden themed pottery! Your adoration for your work made me smile. That’s such an amazing feeling to be proud of your work! It’s what keeps me going. It’s so much easier to see all the flaws in what you create.
Mia, this may be the cutest thing I have seen you make - I LOVE THIS SET! That teapot makes me want to go throw one, but that's something I've never done before. So I guess that means I have been super inspired! Thank you for this channel. I don't comment much, but that's only because I usually watch you on the TV and not my phone or computer. Please keep doing what you do!
It looks so easy when you do your do...all the time I am like...yeeeees, I want to do this, too. Poeple dream of being looked into a shoping center or something, I want to be trappe in a shop like this, ad least for 3 days 😁I really love all peaces you made during the challenges (last one as well). I will patiently wait to the next round UK or Canada or maybe even Germany. Perhaps it is comming here, too. 👍🥇
I don't want the throw down to end! Please can you do the UK version of this year's throw down too? Please please please. I love your throw down videos!
Hey there Mia! I agree, what a beautiful set! I love the pink flower knob on the lid, and the frog is absolutely adorable! Job well done! Did I ever show you the teapot set I recently made?
I love this tea set SOOOOO much!!! It is so adorable and fanciful in design and color! And that little *frog* is to die for!! Also, thinking about how you mentored you kind of just eyeball the width measurement of your multiples, I was wondering if you have heard of calipers? They are a tool specifically designed for measuring the diameter of round/irregular objects, and they make digital ones now too! Pretty handy tool if you are wanting a more precise measurement for those irregular shapes!
WOW Mia, this is soooooo goooood. I want to try this too. Just started a workshop yesterday to make a .... teapot, so I might just use you as my inspiration
So lovely to see the happiness that your set brought about in you. It’s the perfect thing as a maker to get this balance right, to produce this quality of work from your heart and be so flippin’ happy to be an artisan. Great work, Mia. And I have really loved watching this latest throw-down from you.
Hello! At my pottery studio they have a set of shelves which they have propped a square box fan on the top aiming down, and then the shelf is enclosed with a vinyl shower curtain for a drying shelf! It works great! I'm letting you know because I had never seen anything like that before and I thought it was pretty cool. Love your videos!
I have been working on it for over ten years! It really takes a LOT of practice. But of course I mess up all the time too. I was really lucky with this batch.
I was waiting for you to do the teapot pouring test like in the show, also I love the blue satin glaze, is it a commercial glaze or you mix it yourself?
Well done! I’m so happy for you. Such an achievement to conceptualize then bring into existence what you imagined! It’s a delight to watch you grow. Your skills are soaring. Thank you for letting us watch you take risks!!! Much love
This set is beautiful, so pleased you are pleased, its a lovely set that jells together, using the colours you did, works well. Now we all just to wait for the next throw down😊😮
Thank you!! Well there will be plenty of other challenges besides throwdown challenges. That said, if there is a particular challenge you want to see from the british season, I am happy to do it! :D
I would have loved it if, for the Teapot spout, you made it one of the pedals that bent away from the flower! Nonetheless, your final result was better than the "winning" set on the show. Great work.
I have a couple wheel-centric videos coming up, but I'll try to throw in some handbuilding ones after that :) In the meantime, check out my other channel that is exclusively handbuilding: www.youtube.com/@potterytemplates
Love this set!! That frog lid is amazing and I love the little bits of pink, I think it goes so well with all the green and blue. Where is the green glaze from? It’s really a great green
I think you have a winning concept here! Put on your creative thinking cap and make sellable items that have the same organic feel. You won't be able to make them fast enough!😅
Very beautiful. Was holding my breath for the whole for the whole end. May I ask a technical question? How does you teapot pour, on a scale of 1 to 10 (seriously, who care. She is beoootiful).

I really like the tiny bit of pink. I see it as that little bit of sparkle that doesn't take over. And the frog pot is just eeee! Beautiful tea set.

I really really like what you’ve created here. I feel like you have refined your work so much since the first teapot that you showed us a year ago.
That teapot shape without handle etc would make a wonderful vase, beautiful to look at and practical for flower arranging.
I love this set so much! It matches the colors of my dishes and would fit perfectly in my house full of plants and little frogs. 😭 How precious!
