It's a very interesting topic to learn about because the effects of using proper colors in clothing, make up and accessories can be paramount in one's life, can make you more attractive, confident and youthful. so I used to work at j.c. penney in 2011 and I was 17. this amazingly sweet customer came up to me for help and she was a bit elderly and she was obsessed with this stuff as well! she ended up talking to me about my color analysis for over 45 minutes (just from her memory!!) and at the time I didn’t even know of asmr and I swear I had the ~tingles~ the whole time she was explaining to me 😂 it’s still one of my favorite memories lol she was the sweetest soul.

I love stuff like this cuz I don't always use asmr to sleep so watching interesting videos in asmr style is amazing. I usually watch stuff like set restoration but Maria has it covered too, as always 💖

Getting your colors “analyzed” was a big thing in the 80s. I had it done with a couple of girlfriends, and it was a lot of fun. To this day I still use the info I learned in that session. There was a very helpful book out at the time if anyone is interested - “Color Me Beautiful.” Maria, this is a perfect topic for you, and if I could have stayed awake during the video, I’m sure you did a marvelous job with it. 😂❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Yess my mom had this done when she was young and she is 100% an autumn so my grandma finally stopped buying her like neon green and pink clothes lol

Yes! my mom figured this out in the 80s when my white school uniform made me look sickly. Now I know it's because I am a Spring and desperately need "warm" undertones near my face :)

When I found out I was a soft autumn, everything made sense. Turns out there’s a reason why my entire wardrobe is burgundy, olive green, black, warm brown and mustard yellow. And why light hair colors don’t look right on me. And why I look terrible in white and never wear mint green, even though it’s my favorite color. It’s all connected
I have become obsessed with color theory this year!!!!!! Maybe you could do a sequel video about the variations of the seasons (for those of us caught between two seasons. I'm a Summer-Autumn for instance). I also think some jewelry for each would also make a great addition.

I think what I have always been so impressed with Masha is how knowledgeable she always sounds in her video content. I love this! You should let subscribers sent in photos to allow for their own color analysis. This could be on a completely voluntary basis of course. Amazing tingles in this video.
I love this topic, good video. They also now have each season divided into 3 sections, like deep autumn, true autumn, warm autumn, and light spring, warm spring, bright spring, and light summer, cool summer, soft summer, etc. so there are a total of 12, which makes it even more interesting so you are not confined to just one season but have a choice in each season. It would be great to see a video on that!

I would also love another version of this for redheads - since some colors that work with cooler undertones may be offset by the warmer color of red hair? Would be interesting!
It's not your hair alone that determines your colors.
I have copper hair, not a bright red, but still considered red, but a cool skin tone and cool, gray eyes and a pink undertone. I'm mostly cool toned, but I look good in yellow gold and silver.
That makes me neutral.

Maria, I was going through your old videos and I stumbled across two I have somehow never seen. They were of you reading a book to a friend in a comforting manner. Everytime I think other asmrtists are going fast over you, it's only a matter to go and click on your newest work to see that you're way above everyone. And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discredit other wonderful people doing asmr content. This was so great. As a kid in the 1980's my Mom had these color cards she used - I think it was kind of a "thing" back then. This was more fun, but it definitely brought back some memories of having all the cards laid out and trying them against our faces!
