Failed 3 day bikepacking trip: Death Valley and Nevada

Initially my route was to be based on Bikepacking.com's 4 day Echo-Titus- Circuit in Death valley and into Nevada. I'm following a modified 3 day route based on Titus Canyon being closed closed due to storm damage from hurrican Hillary.

There was another blog on the ridge that disagreed with the rating on the original link. I took a hardtail with 29x2.35 inches. Past the Echo Canyon camps it got way better in terms of softness. The mining tunnels detour was cool. It got really quiet and peaceful past that.

Glad it got better after the campground. I wanted to continue the route but it was tough the day before and it wasn't getting any better as I went past the last site. Was the ride through the campground any better? Hopefully it had gotten tramped down with a season of vehicles and wasn't as sloshy. Thanks for the update

Wow! That is some rough stuff. I’ve done some 4x4 driving in DV but would be hesitant to bike any of it. Especially solo. Nice work!
