DEATH VALLEY in December - what is it like????

We spent three days in Death Valley at Furnace creek campground. The weather was wonderful but a bit chilly at night and early morning. The campground was mostly RVs and vans. It was quiet but very little privacy. Running water and toilets.
We visited a few sights. Zabriskie point, The devils golf course, Badwater basin, and artists palette. None are dog friendly.
We did a hike along the Twenty mule team road that is dog friendly.
