@@bunny3923 yeah you'll need the resistors to prevent the hyperflash. As long as you mount the resistors away from existing vehicle wiring you'll be fine. The resistors do get hot so you should find an isolated location to mount them.
Can you please do a video installation or an idea in how you installed it? I’m trying to do the same to my 2010 SRT8, I’ve already got the taillight in so mu next project is the headlights
@@SRTKHRIS so you can legit just get a 2016-2019 challenger, take the headlights out and plug them up in a older model challenger without needing extra parts. It’s just a simple plug up and screw thing? OR you HAVE to buy aftermarket lights?
@@kmvwright952 well the headlights bolt up but you'll need to wire the 2015+ harness into the older model's headlight harness along with resistors to prevent hyperflash.

Can you give me the link for the headlight conversion harness you used i can't find any and the Steve white motors 1 seems to not exist anymore

Facts I understand you yeah it matches up it's the same circuit
So I did this transformation on my 08 Challenger, and I don't like the hyper flash, do I need a resistor for each turn signal front and back?
Yeah you need resistors for the front and back
how do you do the side markers ?
I wired the side markers into the existing side marker connection, just switched the harness connectors.
I had to buy the newer side marker harnesses, if you don't already have em i'll send you the link
@@SRTKHRIS yea send me the link please. Thank you for your help bro

The 2016 headlights fit in the body style of 08-14 ? Or did you have to modify it ?
Yeah it's a direct bolt on the only modifications needed are in the wiring to get them functioning properly.
Do you need the resisters ? Will it cause a fire ?

@@SRTKHRIS how did you mount your resistors. I used 3m double sided tape and mounted to the rear fender and it melted it

not yet i've been swamped with work the past few months...paying customers come first lol but I will be soon

did u have to change your headlight support on the 2009 to put the 2016 bumper on?
No thats the same from 2008 up 😎

Thanks
Were do I get the new harness from to do the swap to my 2010 rt? Thanks for any info I’m trying to get this done ASAP

It does look like a flicker in the video, but in person there's no flicker. It's weird I noticed that after I finished filming.
