Mark, thank you very much, these are great ideas! I know of another variation for the Vowel Orchestra. You can pepare pieces of paper with either of four animals on them (e.g. cat, dog, duck, cow) and ask the people to draw them randomly from a large bowl, so that everyone becomes a cat or a dog or a duck or a cow. Then at a signal they need to find their kin, but they can't speak or show the papers, they need to make the relevant animal sound (mewing for cats, barking for dogs, etc)
Yep, I am familiar with tis exercise and it is very fun to play, especially when people have different ways of making their particular animal sound. Have fun :-)
Sure thing, the best way to learn more about it is to click here > www.playmeo.com/activities/ice-breakers-get-to-know-you-games/crosstown-connections/
I wonder if the Kram Dralloc game might work here in Russia. We have last names like Przhevalsky, Chaikovsky and Stravinsky that become real tongue twisters)) Might work with first names, though, as there are always 3-4 verisons of the same first name that a person uses. Alexander is usually shortened to Sasha or sometimes Shura or Sanya or (rarely) Alex.

In Greece we call the last one, Clumps, a Greek Salad! And we call out: "Make a salad for 3, a salad for 5", etc.
Awesome Alexia, thank you so much for sharing. And so culturally relevant :-)

Ah, good point. And yes, I think focusing on first names, or nicknames is ideal in these circumstances. Thanks for sharing :-)
