    I just realise that the vorlon here was angry at Sheridan because he accidentally stumble upon the truth and didn't realise it, yes Sheridan you are just toys for the shadows and vorlon to fight over.

      You're wrong. Kosh was a good Vorlon, and genuinely wantes to help the humans. He was fine with giving his life up if Sheridan went to Z'Ha'Dum

      Kosh (Vorlon for something like shepard/guide) was always at odds with the other elder Vorlons due to his affection for the younger races. The other Vorlon's believed he was too attached to them and didn't always think clearly where they were concerned. The Vorlon that replaced Kosh on B5 was much younger, and saw the younger races as nothing but inferior primitive life forms to be used/abused in whatever way the Vorlon's wanted. So called good Kosh was very very old; possibly a million years or more. "Good" Kosh ultimately sacrificed himself believing it just might break the hold on the younger races the Shadows and Vorlon's had. He was ultimately correct; but his death by the Shadows was horrendously painful for him. The way the author describes it in the Techno Mage book is quite heart wrenching if your a Kosh fan.

    This is just one of those unexplored areas of Babylon 5 that tantalized the viewer, promising an unknown depth of background. Kept making you want more of the story in order to fill in all those unresolved pieces. Thanks! 👍

    Both the Shadow and Vorlon ships were quite beautiful and terrifying. Obviously especially the Shadow's.
    They have to be the most fantastic ship designs in all of Science Fiction.
    This also shows how very similar both of these competing old race's were in technology.
    Whatever the new series will be if it ever happens, this original series would still be perfect with a full update to 2022 HD special effects.

    • @unclejoejoe3009
      @unclejoejoe3009 Рік тому

      The Vorlon's viewed the Shadow ships as a failed technology; since the Shadow's needed another being to act as a CPU for the ship itself, whereas the Vorlon ships were totally independent and self aware. The techno mage books go into this in detail; great reading if you are a Babylon5 fan.

      The Vorlons though younger than the Shadows, were technically more advanced than the Shadows because the Shadows kept going into hibernation between their galactic wars, while the Vorlons kept awake and advancing. What prevented the Vorlons from destroying the Shadows was a lack of numbers. Not many Vorlons and lots of Shadows, kept them in balance.

    Once the shadows and vorlons passed beyond the rim , I would've liked to see the vorlon homeworld , because in one episode we see humanity as evolved as the vorlons. Preparing to leave as our sun dies. The guy becomes pure energy. And enters an encounter suit , which looks very vorlon like. ? Were did we get that knowledge, ? Why does our tech look so much like vorlon.

    • @JohnRodriguesPhotographer
      @JohnRodriguesPhotographer Рік тому

      Where did they get the suit? If you look at the math for when the sun will turn into a red giant, this would be millions of years in the future. Keep in mind the Earth was burned and had to recover from a kind of dark age. So mankind over those millions of years would have evolved into an energy being and would have found the need for the encounter suits. Otherwise someone might mistake them for burning bush! 😊

      @@JK-Visions i expected better, even at the time the cgi wasnt good and looked dated. Star trek next gen 7th season was the year before and blew b5 out of the water. • @Jennagryphon
      @Jennagryphon 2 роки тому

      Sadly B5 was produced by one of the less popular production houses of the time, there budget was pretty low, and it was expected to fail before the first season made it through its full run. Most of there fx where created using a bunch of amigi video toasters, wich, when they where new was serious shit, SGI level hot shit just about, but, by 95 they where starting to get dated, and the lack of a proper server farm for running rendering ment they had to cut visual quality a little. Something to remember as well, this was filmed before HD broadcast tv, aka, the original show was standard tv definition, seriously, check out how tv resalution has changed over the years. It is also why some of the fx are so jaringly low rez, compaired to the rest. WHen they did the remaster, they went back to the master tapes/film, depending on what they used, wich was in a very diferent format than what was broadcast. Thus your able to get thoes nice high rez live scenes mixed with the low rez cgi scenes, and bits.
      AKA, the poor graphics are from production issues, and limits of the tech available at the time.
