Agreed. From Warrior still looking for a fight, to challenging leadership and nearly killing Marcus in the process, to sacrificing himself in the sun wheel to secure Delenn's place of leadership he had tried to usurp. Oh that Marcus could have made him laugh sooner. 😄
It most certainly will. Even if it's woke as heck JMS still will manage to work around it. He is a smart cookie. He is just too much a story teller and doesn't really care much about other opinions. I saw a 2+ hour speech of him at some University.
I love the detail of Garibaldi in the background clenching his jaw when the minbari general is called "the hero of the line". You can barely see it, but it clearly rubs him the wrong way
I liked them both. I don't think you can really compare, also because Michael had mental issues and I think that affected his performance to some degree.
@@JK-Visions: agreed, sad that Michael tragically succumbed to his demons (like Robin Williams) Mr. Melissa Gilbert played a great role as John Sheridan.
This show is unbeatable, top notch writing and cast made up for lackluster CGI, wich still managed to make for entertaining fights, unlike modern day star trek/wars and even wh40k who fails at their own stories. Praised be Babylon 5
@@michelecastellotti9172 aside from it being poor resolution for today, the cgi is pretty remarkable. Every shot fired had its own visual effect and caused its own hit effect which wasnt merely a copy of the previous hit. Each ship in battle had damage modeling and modeled and animated wreckage from damaged/destroyed ships even played a part in several key sequences and story elements. Even the super rare case of B5 using shielded ships (1 case of a vorlon frontal shield during a battle with the shadows and the thirdspace aliens) the shields exhibited unique effects with impacts and gradiented effects showing where each shot was landing with the shields eventually failing and the target ship suffering damage before its demise. I think back to an awesome scene of a white star going 1v1 with a thirdspace fighter using its main gun to drain the shield of the fighter then standing toe to toe as both ships traded hits with both of them being knocked out. A strong contrast to the immunity bubbles of things like star trek where the only clue of battle damage was when the shield popped and the entire spaceship instantly turned to dust If b5 was re-rendered today with everything as it was but with high resolution models and textures, it would be up there with the very best, only no awful lens flare blinding the audience.
@@kineticdeath about star trek and immunity bubbles: Star wars and star trek are on the opposite spectrum, in star wars, shields are supposedly there, but they NEVER seem to work except VERY rare occasions, in star trek, its always "captain, omg, shields at 81%" at the forst shot, and then after 10 minutes of very boring battle "captain, shields at 60%!!!!!! Omg!!!!" Wich trekkies use to boast about during stupid "my franchise vs your franchise" forgetting the fact that that is just a stupid way to not damage a phisical model. B5 tho... no shields, you go in hard and naked and see this high stake battles everytime, even the smallest of engagements, for example the one where the narns engage the centauri around b5, were 1.000.000 times more entertaining than any star trek fight because of that.
One would think that mention of Minbari General, Sinevhal, who committed suicide rather than surrendering at the Line was a throway line. Later it becomes central to the plot of Sheridan's introduction. And Branmer changing from Religious to Warrior set up a precedent for Neroon's later redemption by declaring himself religious in the Starfire wheel. Such a well-crafted, carefully planned universe
The Minbari nearly started a second war over yet another miscommunication about the gun port thing. You'd think they'd have sent out a public memo by this point. Or, y'know, quit fuckin doing it around outsiders.
Great clip, but can I please ask that you keep the audio mostly the same way it was in the original clip for future? I find it hard to listen to and watch with higher pitch voices...
They all borrow from each other. It's kinda cool to spot the similarities. Dukat? Another word borrowed. To be sure - I'm not against it I just feel clever when I spot it.
Neroon... IMO one of the best secondary characters in the series. His transformation over the course of the whole show was just amazing.

"you talk like a Minbari" .. the foreshadowing of events to come and the closing of the circle. Not many TV series have ever gone where B5 went..

Geez, I wonder why... 😏
It has something to do with a man named Valen:);)

No disrespect intended for Sheridan, but Michael O'Hare's Sinclair had a gravitas that could not be exceeded.

Not sure. I am not a big dune fan. Though I liked the original game back in the days.
Yes. Lynch's film has a lot of influence on B5.

Eldar and their soulstones.
Jesus. Games Workshop plucked this show clean for all it was worth, and then Blizzard swooped in and picked up the rest.
Better stolen and used in a good way then like Disney Starwars part 7-9 ttbadly used and when changes made it became even worse.

Delenn transforming into a hybrid human.

Babylon 5 was a very unique sci fi show. It was a very independent story.
Commander Sinclair was great, but he got in mental health and later died. His replacement was not god at all.
I think Sheridan was a good replacement but both were great.
