@@CoinHELPu ok I will take a look through thanks. Will you subbed to my channel? Would be a great help. I use to have a huge coin channel and website myself until I became unwell. Just came back to start again. I like to support creators who are in to the same hobby.
Wow Daniel you hit at least three important points. First collect what you like first and foremost, making money would be a nice benefit later but don’t start thinking of depending on that. Second, the hunter and fishing analogy fits, learn and then learn some more before you get your feet wet. Ppl see coin roll auctions and without knowing even the difference between 90 and 40 or many other nuances that need to be learned they want to get all in right then and there. It’s almost like a gambling state of mind, something I see a lot with stackers that treat silver like a stock. Wish they would get out or get shaken off on a big dip. There are lots of coin channels out there but I learned mostly from yours and JB coins. Keep up the good work!
I have been a on and off coin collector since my father gave me his collection when I was about 13. I am now 61. It's frustrating to see 100 year old coins my dad pulled out of circulation in the 1950s worth almost nothing.
Wow! Your site coinauctionshelp.com is comprehensive and the answer to my dilemma. I have many of these coins and now can come close to understanding their value. Learning! Thanks so much.

May he continue in joy, of sharing himself, so willingly to all that respect and appreciate his wisdom. Thank you sir.
Thank you for the good information. I appreciate what you are saying. One thing that I would recommend to coin dealers is to try to understand the excitement that a person is having and be more of an educator than a jerk. I have gone to coin stores and shows and asked opinions about things that I am excited about to have them acted like I am an idiot for not being an expert. We all have different levels of understanding and education is so important.
I always take the time to explain and without being a jerk but coin dealers are very busy and most people do not consider this. Most coin shops can't exist just helping the amount of people who want to find something in their change. I recommend using CONECA for that, most coin dealers don't even know the difference between a variety or a mint error. Trust me on that.
if you have time to talk you have time to be nice. some people will speak a paragraph about how someone is wrong and get some little digs in but could have answer the question in 1 sentence and saved everyone time. not saying that's u . we all human everyone needs to slow down and take in the surroundings life is fast enough enjoy each other's company if possible
I'm in IT. This reminds me of my job. People call in thinking their IT issue is special, just like them, but little do they know I have seen that issue/error for years. Literally thousands of times. Fixed it thousands of times, but yet they don't listen. I would listen to this guy all day.
Great advice as usual. I’ve been collecting for years and my reason is because it’s something that was passed on to me by my dad. I do it because I enjoy it not attempting to find the “Big One” . I have a friend who knows I collect and he picks up good coins for me from time to time but his motivation is to make a few bucks, fine. Well recently he came to me with a Morgan CC, I don’t remember the year. But the price he was offering it to me led me to tell him either it was stolen or fake. He assured me it was not stolen. He said he paid 60$ for it. I then told him it had to be a fake. I took it home and tested it and looked at it up close. Sure enough fake, a good fake but no less fake. So he was out his 60$. I’ve never sold any of my coins and have no intention of doing so. I build sets for my grandkids so I do roll hunt and yes occasionally find errors, nicely toned and unique coins which go directly into a special binder, just because I like them. So I guess my advice is listen to Daniel and others like him and do it for the love not the money.
Getting flashbacks of my Kennedy half "no FG" hunting days. I have grown out of that phase of my collecting thankfully! I used to get really upset watching some of these UA-cam channels who claim to be finding 100s of 90% and 40%ers in a single $500 box. I thought I must have the worst luck in the world because I was ordering $4000 in halves at a time and maybe getting 3-5 silver coins per box on a good day. After watching one of these guys pretend to find gold in bank rolls I realized these guys are full of it. I sometimes do work in one of the cash vaults in my area where they count and wrap change for banks. The guys at the vault explained to me that it's not possible for there to be gold in bank rolls. The weight would send them in to the "reject" pile of the machine, even if the size was identical. Thank you for all of your awesome videos. I appreciate your honesty. Honesty seems to be somewhat rare on UA-cam.
Rookie Silver Stacker yep. I watched several of those videos. Always seemed odd they seemed to stop the video then restart with “oh look what we found in this roll”.
I just want to thank you for sharing all of your experience and knowledge with all of us. My grandmother started me, collecting coins when I was 6 years old, but we basically did it as a hobby, so I never learned about the coins or the values, etc. Now that my children are grown and I have coins for them, I've started really researching and have been learning the most and most honest information from your channel and just want to say thank you for helping me be able to give them coins that truly are valuable financially as well as emotionally. Many blessings to you.
I just turned 56 on Monday. Impulse buying can be a very big problem. I have fallen victim to this myself. I 1st started collecting coins when I was 6. My Great grandmother would give me a Morgan Dollar on my birthday. Fast forward 40 years. I learned threw experience. Never bring cash or a credit card on your 1st visit to a coin store. Look, know what you are looking for, Look a 2nd time, then make your decision to buy or not. Great advice Dan !
There are error/variety coins that are OBVIOUS but, thanks to you and some other channels, there are some error/variety coins that I would just pass right over because they are NOT obvious. Education is the key and you are an outstanding teacher. Thanks Daniel.
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I started collecting a few years ago and I tell you what I wish I found you then. I made mistakes purchasing coins online but with your help I've become more savvy when purchasing. Thank you again for everything
I actually started with the state quarters. Then I bought a couple of the maps to put quarters in. I though I'd make one for each grandchild. Between grandkids and great-grandkids, I'm up to 14 now. I was also getting rolls of uncirculated quarters, until the banks quit getting them. I used to catch some of those late night coin ads, (when I got off work at midnight) and never trusted them. I started putting together a few of those books, a few years ago, and recently got back into it.
Thanks for having a new fresh video on this wonderful hobby almost daily. You always have a different topic on this hobby. It's so informative too. As always, thanks daniel
Currently my favorite activity is to sit here search Penny rolls and listen to all your advice along with other you tubers you have so much knowledge thank you very much appreciated
Well...after watching several of your tutorials about coins & collecting, I wish I'd seen them FIRST before going off to Ebay & buying coins. Fortunately, I've only spent less than $400 on coins but now after watching your videos, I doubts about at least a few of them. I WILL be much more careful from now on thanks to you. BTW I'm going to a local coin show in 2 weeks but I don't think I'll take more than $100 with me so I don't get burned too badly if at all, Thanks again for ALL of your wonderful guidance & advice!!!
like this lady that wanted to sell me this indian head penny very common date, she thought it was worth a lot of money because her husband kept it for decades, then i took a look at it and researched the value and when i told her that ebay had the same penny for 3 bucks, man she got mad as hell she almost slap me LOL.
Wait until someone tries to sell you a well circulated clad Ike dollar for $1000. You will think you had kicked a hornets nest when you tell them it isn't worth more than a buck and you have no interest in it at all.
I enjoy the History that I can vicariously visit that timeline through. I purchased my first coin at a little coin shop on Route 66 as a freshman in high school. The dealer sold it for the quarter that I had in my pocket, I thanked him and he in return said, have fun with this new hobby, I still enjoy the hobby of collecting, I don't stack, I still enjoy the history behind coinage. And once again I thank for sharing your knowledge of my favorite hobby.
Such great advice ! I would just be greatful to whomever has told me about a misstake I've made, intead of getting angry, learn from those misstakes and try not to make them again. Think about swimmers who are very 'strong' swimmers and won't put on a life jacket when swimming or boating, even they drowned at times . 70 precent of folks that 'drowned' would be still alive if they'd just had worn a life jacket. Your 'life coin jacket' is to never stop learning about coins, learn on your own, learn from others, learn from mistakes, common sence. I thank you sir for being such a great friend as well as a teacher.
@@CoinHELPu You are so welcome 😙 Your videos are the first in my video feed. It's something when you go back in time and learn about how folks once cut off pieces of their coins to buy things, I think that's why they put the ridges or writings around the edges on the coins so folks could make sure nothing was cut from the coins. Well, if you have a Pine tree, take some Pine needles off, rinse them and put them in some boiling water and boil a few min to make a Pine tea, it has more vit. C then 2 oranges. 🖒😎
This video is awesome! Definitely need to share this all over. Will save people major money and headaches. As well as help bring some long term collectors into the hobby.
Thx for the tips. I coin roll hunt small game for fun (and to fill my albums), so I keep my expectations low. Still cool to find buffalo nickels, IHPs, or silver dimes.
I grabbed my wife's coin purse once to fish out a quarter and saw this odd reddish looking coin, looked so fake but I grabbed it anyways, it was a wee bit smaller than a dime. Turned out to be an old gold 2 1/2 dollar eagle and I ebayed it for 835.00. That will never ever happen again. Like ever.
Thank you very much. Most excellent information. I’m a beginner. 64 year old with a small mound of coins I’m looking at with my magnifying glass recording dates and reading as much as I can. My intention is to collect, learn, save and pass the change down when I’m worm food.
@@bethcoddington2150 I've been collecting coins for 40 yrs, and errors and varieties for almost 30 yrs. I have learned a lot over the yrs, and have discovered 5 new double dies varieties, and three have been in Coin World Magazine. I've gone alongways since then, and I'm still learning. Have a great day, And keep collecting. Peace
@@CoinHELPu I would be honored for you to do a video. 3 of the 5 varieties are in the Wexlers files, the other 2 will be added when he updates his web site. On October 21, a coin I submitted to Mr. Wexler will be in the Variety notebook column in Coin World magazine: a 1963 Franklin half; WDDO-008. Send me an address and I will send them down to you. You and Shaun @ blueridgesilverhound are the only coin youtube videos I watch.
I got all inspired watching these coin roll hunters. Ordered me $1000. worth of 50cent.. didn't find a thing. I'm let down but ordered quarters for this week. All this advise and observations are spot on. This takes some research and time not just money. Thanks for your videos. I'm going to look back and get eduma cated..!! Thanks Again!!
I have boxes of coins I've set aside over the years, pretty much when working in customer service jobs you handle alot of money and anything that stood out as "weird" to me would just go in the box. I'd say most of them end up being nothing really important, but they end up being interesting even so. One time we got a change delivery, and inside each roll of dimes, in the center, was what looked like a silver dime at first due to the edge being silvery color, so I was excited, and then it turned out they were chrome plated dimes from 2014. Why a single one was inside all 20 rolls is something I will never figure out, but saved them even so just cus it was weird and doesn't cost much to set aside a few dimes :D
been doing this coin thing about a year now...have learned so much from you and your videos...you have saved me from being a fool at times...I do not trust anyone else when it comes to these coins...I don't know if I'll ever make any money, I love saving these coins...I just can't find myself letting these go...thanks Daniel for all your input
I sincerely appreciate the unconditional kindness you provide by sharing your numismatic knowledge. I’m 65 and don’t expect to get rich through my new study of coins; but learning that I’m on the right track is good to know so when I kick the bucket my sons can split the treasure and maybe continue what I started or cash in. 🤓
You see a ton of coins from day to day and I’m sure there are people that think they have the most valuable coins in the world but then they are told it’s not so. I’m sure they get mad but if you take a test at school and think you have studied enough and fail the test then you get mad at the teacher. It’s sorta the same thing. I completely agree with you know your coins before you think you are an expert. My LCS owner is always busy looking at books and learning about coins so how can someone in the hobby know all after 5 months??? Great Video Daniel!!
Awesome information again! Thank you. I have made some of the mistakes you mentioned. I "fixed" myself in a very simple way. I bought a red book and started reading on how to grade coins. Not for the grading, per se, but the what to look for on a properly struck coin and to learn the different grades. I started putting the best looking coins in a book. I then went on to look for replacing those coins as I rolled searched. You do it that way and you very quickly learn shiny does not necessarily mean better. That's how I got my attention to shift to the strike of the coin regardless of shiny factor. Knowing which years are known to be weak strikes or great strikes and everything in between has been a leap forward in my books. Granted I only have cents and nickels, but I will be moving up in denomination once I have a better clue. I love the roll search and history of coins. The books are a nice, hey see what I have found. Keeps it cheaper and the wife happy that I am not trying to put a mortgage payment to the coins lol
Very eye opening information you gift to most honest amateur coin collectors, just like me. I love your show, just want to add, coin collecting can become a bit addictive. I do love it, thanks again.
I bought Morgan's that were graded by the two biggest grading companies. I bought them as I like the fine engraving. I also loved going through rolls of coins and finding Lincoln's cents with filled mint marks and dates. It was fun as I didn't think of the value.
I think I'm ready to start trying to sell some of my coins after 3 year's of collecting every coin I receive as change as well as some I have collected over 35 year's. I love your videos. You are so awesome and honest. Hope I am not disappointed. Your videos are a insperation.
I am definitely more of a silver stacker than a coin collector but I am absolutely guilty of overpaying and buying without researching first. My first coin/silver purchase ever was a Morgan that I overpaid for. Not a huge mistake but I learned from it and now I avoid Morgans just because of their high premium
I can see that from the perspective of a dealer, or a collector who frequents brick-and-mortar coin shops, you may not be able to recoup your investment in coins. But if you both buy and sell coins via online auctions not only immediately sell your coins back for what you paid you may even get a small profit. This is assuming you buy intelligently, sniping a lot of auctions where you just win a few of them at lowball prices so you can resell them for enough of a higher price to make up for the sellers' fees. I did this for a number of years although it is easier to make a profit with other collectible items where the value of the items is less established.
Hi Daniel. I wish I would have seen a video like this a couple of years ago! Who knows how much I overspent. The good news is, I am doing more things right from those experiences. I'm learning how to grade, I check sold prices, among other things. Thank you for keeping me on track!
I've been buying Kennedy coin rolls from Etsy. So far about 40 rolls. Yes I've spent a little money buying these. Some are reasonably priced. In these I found a lot of Bicentennial. 1 40 %. I was happy to find one. Hoped for more. Here's why I bought them. 1. It's better than wasting money on a scratch off or lottery ticket. I still have most of my money after searching. 2. Wanted a bunch of Kennedy's. Can't find them at my local banks. 2. I had fun. I enjoyed looking through these coins and will look for errors. Will buy a few more and stop. It was worth the fun it gave me.
Once again, thank you for your info. I am new to coin roll hunting and right now I am more focused on filling the common slots than in trying to find errors - although I do examine everything.
Hi Daniel, I have stumbled across your coinhelpu channel and I really appreciate it, so Thank You!!! As a new collector and I'm learning alot and need to learn alot more. I appreciate your time in putting the time and effort into make them.
I have learned more about coin collecting since I found your channel. Not because of any flat of anyone other then myself. And you are right about skipping over what grading is or knowing about doubling or even low mint. I haven’t tried to sell anything. So now I am going back through my collection of three years. Here is what I found. I did find two 1982 small date D’s but I have a ton of 82’s. Four toned 1941 to 1945 mercury dimes that I now believe not to be natural. Lots and lots of fakes. Mostly pennies from bank rolls. Hum... three 1916 mercury dimes. None of them are D’s and the S looks cleaned. I could go go but you get the idea. So yes I maybe ask too many questions. However I have a red book now. So thank you so much for making me pause and really pay attention. 🍎🍎🍎🍎
I am both, new to collecting and coin roll hunting, but it is addictive , I just love pretty shiny coins, knowing full well they aren't valuble i still like looking for them!
Thanks again for the wisdom. These are like trade secrets in a way, but you are trying to keep Honesty in this great hobby, and it takes work. I'm only 2.5 years into this, and you are trying to help with sharing common mistakes. Hope you Have a good day.
Hi Daniel, another great video. You seem to never stop giving some of the best advice, tips and information for all types of collectors! I must say I am in the U.K. But along with our coins coins from the USA are second best, I absolutely love the history of your coins and everything about them. Until the next video, thank you and take care.
I've mostly been a silver stacker. Bullion, rounds. Been getting into other stuff like Morgan dollars, Peace dollars, Walking Liberty halves. Lots of good info! Subscribed.
Great video. The middle where you explain how people hear what they want and miss what they don't understand also holds true for real life. I find all your stuff very informative keep up the good work.
Daniel I'am a beginner to this and have to tell you i REALLY APPRECIATE you putting out these great learning videos i have been learning a lot from you please keep them coming thank you for taking the time for us rookies lol seriously thank you. Dave
Daniel, I just have to make a comment on your teaching ability, your amazing knowledge, I am so glad I found you. I really wish i had known you when I was young boy carrying around my blue book, just dreaming.....The only sellers I could find were in the classifieds of a comic book!! I m not buttering your popcorn, you truly are amazing!!!!!!
My Goodness Man I want too thank GOD for you Sir, you telling the truth has helped me out a great deal. Your wisdom and keeping it real Helped me not make some foolish mistakes. Not saying I'll never make anymore mistakes that one of the things that makes life interesting.Take good care my friend. Truly, Thomas Welch
I'm not much of a coin collector. Just making a set that my dad started as a kid, and I just picked it back up. Although, I think I've been running across a bunch of chips and small errors like that. I also think I just found a 1944 D over S penny. I'm not sure I'd ever pay much more than face value for it. I just like going through rolls or a bag of wheat pennies. It's kind of a calming hobby for me.
Awesome. My friends don't get that I like sorting coin for the fun of finding that one coin to fill that one hole in an album page and then hopefully find a better version of that same coin. What gets them is that if I have a few low mintage coins, I'll just start another album, not sell it. They always ask why don't you sell it & make money and I try to explain that it really isn't worth the work to research, grade & slab, list it and hope it sells for as much as you put into it. My gf just shakes her head. She is just happy I do something that makes me happy, tho she does get irritated once in a while when I have them scattered all over the dining room table.
I don’t understand anything about coins but I love Morgan Silver Dollar and pretty much any coins from the 1800’s I own about a 100 of them. I do need to learn so people don’t take advantage of me. Thank you
Once again...a bounty of very informative information. I've been collecting for about 7 years now and everything you've mentioned i have seen and sometimes had to learn the hard way! Thanks and keep up the awesome job!!!
I know enough to be dangerous, And my passion is building sets, Here in the UK the skys the limits for coins, I've been asked on many occasion would i sell one of my coins, And the answer is always NO because i love them so much...I enjoy all your video's and honesty hurts sometimes...Keep them coming With Regards Mark
I keep it simple! I coin roll hunt half dollar rolls for 1970 and older half dollars and stack US constitutional circulated silver coins! I took a deli job and I’m finding on average 5 silver dimes a week including mercury dimes ! Thanks for all the great info straight from the horses mouth !!!👍😝
You are missing a chance at the errors, though. I just went through 30,000 wheat pennies. Over 300 error coins, everything from blank planchets, double D's, BIE errors, you name it.
I was in the printing field it takes 5 years or more to run into different problems and how to correct them same with any trade espally coin collecting it took me over 12 years to learn certain things
I think I'm going to give up coins and try pearl diving. All true what you say. Truth is a person probably has nothing, thinks it's something but in the end has nothing. I'm back where I started. Love the coin for the coin. You are so right...it is not an investment.
Great tips and information, as usual. Buy what you like, don't believe the hype. Great collections are built over a lifetime one good purchase at a time.
This video is so very important to make to all new collectors. Impulse buying and taking things personally can be very costly and cause a unnecessary stress. Leave it up to experts like Danielle, because he knows a lot more than 99% of us do. Most people can’t handle the truth. I think it’s an ego thing?
Thanks again, Daniel!! Though I am continuing to learn from you, and am keeping an eye out for strike variations, it's a brain strain at my age to go too deeply that direction!!😊 I'll visit with you personally about my collecting preferences when I see you in a week!!!
I wished I would have seen this a year ago Shaun when I started. You do have to learn the history of money and understand the mint process and the errors and varieties. Most importantly you really need to enjoy picking. I thank you are teaching me in my own pursuits.
@@CoinHELPu Daniel I swear I see you say Shawn or Shaun and people are calling you that in the comments. Forgive me. I really do get a lot out of your videos
Boom. I needed to hear this. Im going to get educated a little bit better. I've been noticing certain things don't match with Wexler and keep wondering why almost im never right or never wrong. Im that impulse buyer aswell.
Hello Daniel I love you videos I am a new coin collector and I have got a lot of good advice from watching your videos keep up the good work and I'll always be watching thanks David
Thank you, i've learned so much with your channel and website and watching auctions and seeing what's being sold and why it's worth what it is, i'm actually a lot more confident in the hobby and what it's all about. I saw one of your competitors do a video on a rare coin making it sound easy, especially for the one that was being talked about, and almost all of the people that commented had 1 or more asking how to sell them. It made me a little bit disappointed that people rely on this type of information and go on eBay or elsewhere to sell their junk without even doing a little more research on what they're doing, IMO it's bad for the hobby and people that make the videos should stop and realize the effects their having on others. Everybody thinks they can start numismatics and make fast money with anything they find without ever realizing it takes time, experience and a whole lot of research, resources to ever enjoy it, all they see is a quick dollar and when it doesn't happen they give up. Some of the you tube videos are ridiculous while yours are exceptional along with all you've invested and given back to the hobby by helping new people who want to learn the right way. IMHO
Thanks, Daniel. This is not shared enough among the Collector Channels about the need to educate yourself before buying your first coin or even coin roll hunting. IMO need to spend minimum 3 months studying about collecting first. Doing it will save collectors from a lot of disappointment in the long run.
Thank you very much I found you information very rewarding I’m just starting out so I am going to be careful now but I found a dollar coin that was almost orange not the yellowy colour they usually are is that common thank you Debbie
Thank you for sharing your honesty about coin collecting values. The information you share is vital and very important exspecially for beginners. I am one who appreciates honesty even if it upsets some. Thanks again and God bless
Best video yet. A lot of great information. I feel I am personally guilty of a lot of that, just having started out. It's good to hear it from you though. You have been in the business a long time and yeah, you probably most definitely know what you're talking about and you've seen a lot I am sure. I think that's the big takeaway here for me. I am just going to do just what you say and have fun with it, fill some albums, collect all the different coins I find that are neat, keep the ones which look nice. Collect as many different ones as I can, ones that I like and go from there. Thank You for this video very much!

I know of only one coin roll hunting youtuber who I can confirm that his hunts are legit. It’s Rob Finds Treasure

You're welcome and thank you.
Thanks
There are error/variety coins that are OBVIOUS but, thanks to you and some other channels, there are some error/variety coins that I would just pass right over because they are NOT obvious. Education is the key and you are an outstanding teacher. Thanks Daniel.
I am a new coin collector , Daniel you are the best lecturer I got, I learned a lot from your presentation, again you are the best
Thank you
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge.
Yes, I've been there and done that more times than I can count.
Happens around once a week thanks etsy
von volts 😀😀😀👵🏻 Bless her heart.
Daniel l really appreciate your No nonsense words of advice. I've been in this all my life & have heard almost every story in the book. Thanks
Every vid you make is full of good wisdom Daniel. Thank you for creating them.
Thanks and you're welcome
I skip down my list and there you are. Choose you my friend, why? Cause your honest💗
Thank you
@@CoinHELPu You are so welcome 😙 Your videos are the first in my video feed.
You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Indian Head Penny.
Cool! So far I've pulled a 1900 and an 1880 from rolls.
Like ever.
And it was a coin shop that bid it and knew what they were looking at.
Thank you very much. Most excellent information. I’m a beginner. 64 year old with a small mound of coins I’m looking at with my magnifying glass recording dates and reading as much as I can. My intention is to collect, learn, save and pass the change down when I’m worm food.
I found four 1969-S double dies, boy I was a happy camper; until I discovered that they were mechanical doubling! Lesson learned.
Hey Scott. All the experienced collectors I know say " Learn the minting Process and You will Better be able to recognize true errors." Wise advice!
@@bethcoddington2150
I've been collecting coins for 40 yrs, and errors and varieties for almost 30 yrs.
I have learned a lot over the yrs, and have discovered 5 new double dies varieties, and three have been in Coin World Magazine. I've gone alongways since then, and I'm still learning.
Have a great day, And keep collecting. Peace

Yes, we all are still learning. @Scott Holliday I would love to do a video on your experiences and finds!

I would be honored for you to do a video.

You're welcome and you should keep what you like. Value isn't always important!
It is refreshing to see honest sincerity and concern about the profession of collecting coins. Good job.
It is refreshing to see your sincere, honest concern for the coin collecting profession. Good job and thank you.
Thanks and you're welcome
I read body language, and You are full of 100% TRUTH! Thank You. I have learned a lot from you. :)
Well Said Brother, Thanks for sharing all this information with us!!! Keep your videos coming!!!
Hi Malvado! How are you?
@Beth Coddington, Hi im doing good. how are u doing?
You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Yes, it’s time consuming, but can be done.
Hi Daniel. I wish I would have seen a video like this a couple of years ago! Who knows how much I overspent. The good news is, I am doing more things right from those experiences. I'm learning how to grade, I check sold prices, among other things. Thank you for keeping me on track!
Good video, I am a newbie, one of the reasons I watch your video to learn from someone who has experience
I love mistakes because it forces me to see where I went wrong..
So true!
$5 mistakes are one thing. A $5k mistake?. Let someone else make those.
You're welcome and thank you
I have learned more about coin collecting since I found your channel.
🍎🍎🍎🍎
Thanks and you're welcome

I'm not much of a coin collector. Just making a set that my dad started as a kid, and I just picked it back up. Although, I think I've been running across a bunch of chips and small errors like that. I also think I just found a 1944 D over S penny. I'm not sure I'd ever pay much more than face value for it. I just like going through rolls or a bag of wheat pennies. It's kind of a calming hobby for me.
I appreciate these videos you do. I've been. Doing alot of studying on coins. Your tips help
Thanks for your comment!

Thanks Daniel for all your hard work
Excellent video. Learning about significance of (even seeing) die marks associated with known errors is hard. Fun learning but still hard.
Great tips and information, as usual. Buy what you like, don't believe the hype. Great collections are built over a lifetime one good purchase at a time.
Great information I don’t know much about coins but watching your videos helps.

I enjoy watching your videos, always very informative for a beginner. I need all the help I can get. THANX
IMHO
Thank you, much appreciated comment!
Thank you
Didn't know about the worthless DD. Thanks for keeping me from making a stupid mistake!
Thanks, Daniel. This is not shared enough among the Collector Channels about the need to educate yourself before buying your first coin or even coin roll hunting. IMO need to spend minimum 3 months studying about collecting first. Doing it will save collectors from a lot of disappointment in the long run.
Yes it will

Best video yet. A lot of great information. I feel I am personally guilty of a lot of that, just having started out. It's good to hear it from you though. You have been in the business a long time and yeah, you probably most definitely know what you're talking about and you've seen a lot I am sure. I think that's the big takeaway here for me. I am just going to do just what you say and have fun with it, fill some albums, collect all the different coins I find that are neat, keep the ones which look nice. Collect as many different ones as I can, ones that I like and go from there. Thank You for this video very much!
Thank you for your honesty!
