Hello Daniel, Was wondering if you had the chance to do a video explain what's silver and what's not after 1965. It get very confusing to me. Like dollars coins some say 40% some 90% for the same year ? some say silver but are not just clad. Some say only "S" minted are silver but some on eBay are clad with s mark? Its all very confusing.
Excellent video ty I had watched that and info was good. what I don't understand maybe I missed it? is the half dollars and dollars AFTER 1971 some are saying 90-40% silver for dates 1972-2018 , like this 1980-S Proof John Kennedy Half Dollar Deep Cameo Proof Finish . Is it silver I looking at ebay and others it says "s" ones in dollars and half are silver? after 1971 from proof sets? is this true? TY once again for taking the time to read!
@@johnhandofgod.6113 It's not silver from 1971 to 2019 unless they're in the special three coin proof and sms set for 1976, and in sealed proof sets from 1992 to the present. All other information is inaccurate.
K TY that helps a lot. Been linking your vids in my twitter hopefully get you more viewers. What you do is amazing and nice, I learned a lot from your channel.
Ty very helpful I am disabled and some meds make learning a little hard lol. But I went on your website and want to buy 1976 silver dollar/half/quarter in deep camo. if you have for sale or can get let me know how much? The one E dollar looks good and the half too but not deep camo on your site?. My email is attumra@aol.com Mainly looking at silver if you have any other deals going when ever shoot me a email TY again. You saved me from buying wrong items. Luckily from watching your videos after I bought first one I stopped and researched it and it looks like the real deal on the one I bought , wait till it gets here then ill know.
Is the Red Book of any value in this matter? I know it's listings will be static for a year. Is 15 - 20% off of its listings somewhere in the ballpark?
Do you see the value or interest of completed Penny (1909-1941) (1942-present) and Nickel (1938-1959) (1960-present) books going up over time? I have several uncompleted books and wondering whether to finish them. I have common circulated coins.
CoinHELPu Good advice. Thank you. Maybe the best way to think about the books is just the joy of filling books while looking for key dates and double dies. I won’t stress on making sure they are filled.
I always like your presentation of coinage . I just heard there is a 2015 double ear ha I have a few and was wondering if there were any but heres one for you I also have 2016 s which also look as if they have a double ear if I could take afew pics of them and send them to you I would like for you to look on them Thank You keep doing what do do best the love of the coin
I do appreciate your candor and advice and your help in these matters .I always try to watch your videos keep up the great work we all need your advice and knowledge on coins ThankYou again Roger Curry
@@rogercurry7553 there's really not much help I can give. CONECA can examine your coin for you or try to find a match on their site or Wexler's doubled die website.
Thanks! I don't have a coin "Collection." I really don't know about the coins I've collected over the years, nor the coins my father in law left. Which really would have been better coins if the family hadn't shoved them in a weathering shed a few decades.
What should a person pay for junk or coin silver? How many times face value. Not looking for rare dates just average 64 and down dimes quarters and half's.
I use a wire brush to clean my coins! It shines them and smoothes them some. And gets rid of any corrosion, rust, or grease. Another idea you might consider is to use a weak acid solution (like oven cleaner) in a glass of vinegar to soak your coins overnight. This should bring out a nice metallic shine. Coins is a fun hobby! But don’t handle them without cleaning off the germs and viruses. Sand off any sharp edges with an Emory cloth, especially around the edges. No one wants a germie rough-edged slug of metal.
Excellent, as always. Virtually every collection I’ve appraised suffers from poor storage. Scratches, hairlines, PVC damage and ambient spotting abound! Non-plasticized clear flips will prevent most of these damages.
Here's a question that has probably been asked many times. Can a coin struck for circulation be graded as mint state? I have two whole rolls of bank wrapped 2019 P nickles. I picked up a box from my CU and after opening 3-4 rolls of nothing up 2019 P I set 2 rolls aside that have 2019 enders. The CU said they get sent in from the Federal Reserve. These coins are relatively unmarked, very little to no baggage nicks and near pristine. I know they are pretty much all worth no more than FV, but still. I'm curious.
All business strike coins are mint state until they circulate and obtain wear. And the newer coins are known for being well struck and "pristine" so they're not worth as much when graded high as their vintage counterparts.
i have a 1996 dime i think is a error coin and may be a one of a kind when you see it you will know why i think that would you like to tell me what you think.
I know this is an old video and it is quite helpful. My question is what if what you have everything is known? You have a graded “X” of whatever and price guide lists it at $1200. They’re selling on eBay for $1k. What’s a dealer going to offer for it and will that offer be the same from one person who has no clue, to the next guy who has been collecting for 20 years?
Good day sir I have a autralian 8 dollar coin queen elizabeth II comemorative coin year of the goat 2015.. give an Idea what price i can sell it.. thanks and God bless

I have a question I looked everywhere I even bought a book just to see if I can see if this kind of error exist but can't find it and I don't know if this even an error or not😅
I’m organizing all of my change/coins based off of the year it was made…. Any recommendations on a website, app, spreadsheet set up, to check by the year to find rare coins or coins worth money? I feel like when I google by the year, I get all kinds of things pop up, but not a single link that goes through those years by including everything to look out for.
Hi Daniel. May I please speak to you personally. I came into having a coin collection when I was 13 years old. I am now over my 40s. I have been googling trying to arrange the coins etc. I find it very confusing and overwhelming and do not know where to start or rather i do but there are no apps available where i can just take a photo and get feedback. I would really appreciate a video call with you because you get straight to the initial problems faced by novices. I have lots of coins from all over the world and i really can't even begin to organise.; I have tried but there's too much information for me to even start to decipher info for even 1 coin! any advice will be appreciated. My video shows you to look up ebay sold auctions.
Very informative video Daniel❣️ Great for the Newbee's😉
Thank you!
Great Daniel I think that was great help I'm enjoying learning I'd like to see more of your shop and values of your coins. And what do you look for when your cherry picking another's shop or a table at a show what questions you ask other dealers i look forward to seeing your videos
I have multiple videos with all this.
Another great video on much sought after topic in numusmatis from the Master of Coins. Great going Daniel 👍👏😀
Thank you!
Outstanding. Tips I can follow
Thank you!
Very helpful!
Thanks so much for this information. One question I have is during the appraisal do you identify key dates coins ? Especially on a large appraisal.
Of course.
Great information Daniel. Thanks.
Thank you!
Great video, thank you for the info 👍
You're welcome and thank you
This was a huge help
Thank you for the info. What part of the country are you located? I wish I had someone locally that I could trust.
I am in Ohio
Hello Daniel, Was wondering if you had the chance to do a video explain what's silver and what's not after 1965. It get very confusing to me. Like dollars coins some say 40% some 90% for the same year ? some say silver but are not just clad. Some say only "S" minted are silver but some on eBay are clad with s mark? Its all very confusing.
ua-cam.com/video/Lj6rPXbhXS4/v-deo.html
Red Book is good for the information but values are retail. It comes out a year in advance so that doesn't reflect the sold auction market very well.
@@CoinHELPuOk Daniel! Thankyou!!😊
Do you know Thomas Lewis Sir a
coin collector from London? Is he
good or not? Sorry to ask.
I am in America
Thank You Again.
All The Best.Thanks.
Thank you for information on coin I need information on how to buy magnifying glass
Do you see the value or interest of completed Penny (1909-1941) (1942-present) and Nickel (1938-1959) (1960-present) books going up over time? I have several uncompleted books and wondering whether to finish them. I have common circulated coins.
I can't say but the keys should, common dates no. So based on the keys they might. Nickels I do not think so nor 1942 and up cents.
CoinHELPu Good advice. Thank you. Maybe the best way to think about the books is just the joy of filling books while looking for key dates and double dies. I won’t stress on making sure they are filled.
Do you have site for bars as well ? Need help appraising those . Thanks .
It's best to send that to CONECA and let them examine it. Thanks
I do appreciate your candor and advice and your help in these matters .I always try to watch your videos keep up the great work we all need your advice and knowledge on coins ThankYou again Roger Curry
@@CoinHELPu PSi have a 2016 dime with ddo on the date any help would be helpful
@@rogercurry7553 Thank you!
You're welcome
What should a person pay for junk or coin silver? How many times face value. Not looking for rare dates just average 64 and down dimes quarters and half's.
13x is the going rate
Good To Know Thanks.
Very Helpful.
Have A Good Weekend.
Everything you should not do lol.
yer kidding right?a wire brush?naw..
What can i do
Excellent, as always.
Virtually every collection I’ve appraised suffers from poor storage. Scratches, hairlines, PVC damage and ambient spotting abound!
Non-plasticized clear flips will prevent most of these damages.
Thank you and yes you're correct on that
Whoa! It's like you read my mind?!!
I love your videos!!!
Thank you!
Thats a good idea the price guide search
Thank you for subscribing to my channel, I'm doing shout-out and mentions to people who have been brilliant supporting my channel, I hope to throw some views and subscribers or even help with some sales on your website. My way of saying thank you.
Thank you!
Great video as usual. Daniel I was wondering if you could put some more pennies and penny rolls on your web site? Thanks
If I have any left
Hai Mr Daniel , are you still buy coins,?
I have a question I looked everywhere I even bought a book just to see if I can see if this kind of error exist but can't find it and I don't know if this even an error or not😅
Then it's not going to be a mint error, people spend a bunch of time on damaged coins, and I don't recommend that. Just got to let it go.
Buy a 2023 Mega red book price guide.
Take a couple weeks vacation in northern Maine and look at my outrageous coin collection.
Would love to
I have several , how can I get them you.D.G. Johnson
Please let me know.
I am from the UK. I would really appreciate a one to one conversation with you?
I was wondering if the Blue book values are close to what a typical dealer would pay for a particular coin?
No dealer than I know if uses the Blue Book., they use the Grey Sheet
