Yes. I picked up the Emerald version and it does not have a captured pivot. I would assume the blue one is the same. But, if you didn't know, all you need to do is squeeze the blade into the handle (in your fist) when adjusting the pivot. This action will pinch the pivot with the blade and provide enough friction to do what you need to do.
@@GadgetNerdvana thanks for reply. Only issue is that it’s risky to Loctite the pivot if it needs it since it will be very difficult to unscrew even using your method.
