mira sandouka It has! Haha. I’m alright thanks. Yourself? I’m 23 (almost 24) and I’ll be graduating with my masters degree in May 2021. I still love this song ❤️
My elementary school principle would play this song every monday morning for monday meetings when the whole school goes in there and stuff. It was one of my favorites. Still love it. Sad though :/
This is the song that I learned in my old school and then I moved to another one and they did it here the first year I was here!!! I didnt know about the other one and I thought this was the original! I have the book and the CD. Its awesome and when ever someone is laughing at someone or calling names I think of this song!!!!! :) thank you 4 ur time! Love,Daynah
I remember singing this song every day at my summer camp when I was little. This song brings back so many memories. It teaches us all to be strong. Don't you dare laugh at anyone.
I used this book at a Kid's Camp: My story, we were talking about peace and I was drawn to a young man at the first dinner meal at camp. He started to tell me his story. He couldn't come last year because a kid bullied him. He hit his head and he ended up in the hospital. My heart broke and I knew then why Connie and I were there at this camp. It was such a powerful week as we shared about peace and about ways we can make a difference.
This song makes me cry!!! I had to learn it in 2nd grade! A few weeks ago my dad and u were in the garage with the radio on and the newer version of this song came on! I singing along because I still remember the words I love this song!
how could you say that , there are tons of people out there that out being picked on and you say that i feel so bad for the people that get laugh at and were all the same you have no heart for other people and i think this song is just wonderful .
After I saw this video at school when I was in 4th grade, whenever I got sad i would sing this in my head to chear me up & remind me, thing will get better sooner or later. I just wish things get better right away.
i sung this just today for my talent show. i deticated it to everyone whos been bullied. i said that theyre all perfect in their own special way. i won first place for crowd favourite!
This song is nostalgic and keeps me happy whenever I'm feeling down. I remember meeting the guy who wrote this and our school made a new song with him.
My old music teacher had us sing this song. I was in 3rd grade, and everytime I heard it I wanted to cry. My class was like,"can we sing don't laugh at me?!"
This song is touching...it really hits home...mostly because I have a sickness called tourette syndrome and iv been made fun of for years...if only we all took this song as seriously as we should
we listened to this at the end of last year. they were nice to me for a while, but now they've gone back to making fun of me and leaving me out. people tell me to blow it off and not to get hurt from it, but when it all builds up, it DOES hurt. So here's the lesson :Don't bully people.
I love this song, i remember when our temporary music teacher bought in the cd and book. It's one way to see who's nice and who's not. All the good people got upset, and all the bullies were grinned there heads off. One twat actually LAUGHED. Still, it's a great song, even if it is incredibly sad....
I remember reading this book, and sinigng it for a concert at school. Sometimes while we were singing someone would start cying. :( Such a touching song! :)
It really hurts. We have all been on one side of bullying. Whether we know we have hurt people or not - and we know what it's like to be hurt. This is such a touching song that communicates how even a few words can do so much damage to one's spirit. People will say, "It's a few kids making fun. You should let it roll off your back." This is such a perfect example of insensitivity. People with special needs have the biggest capacity for love and forgiveness that I'm amazed at their strength.
Today we watched this in school and I almost started to cry...and some of these people remind me of people in my class and I just wanted to go hug them after watching this!
This guy is an amazing kid song writer...He came to my school today and made a song with all of the 5th graders!!:)...Good song...Like this post if you agree that we should try our hardest to stop bullying!!
This is a really nice song.. n its also very sad.. to hear about ppl that dont have abilities like us.. n if someone bullies u like this .. then it relly hurts.. but we just dont show it to other ppl... lovely song.. n who ever sang it , he relly sang it nicely.
love it it's wonderful and I would show this to my students if I was a teacher it totally talks about me i'm teased for being fat, having glasses, and for being smart. No one hangs out with me so I get teased for that and there is a person who beats the crap out of me because of all those reasons
i used to love this song when i was in elementary school! :D i would read the book so many times and it had the cd nd they would let us borrow the cd player to listen to it xP i miss those times(:
Awww this makes me soo sad! When they sed "Im the one who is slower then everyone eles" that reminds me of me. And im sometimes to scared to answer a question because im scared that they will laugh at me. I showed this to my teacher and now bullying and dont do drugs and breast cancer is the number one thing in our school! I love this song !
I remember when i was a bully but when i first heard this song it maid me cry I stopped bullying because this song showed bullying from the kids point of view nd now I'm a different person
I am so sorry to hear you have been bullied...no one should ever be teased/made fun of/pushed around...I use this book to educate my students on bullying and its effects...I really hope by teaching children we can prevent bullying and put an end to it both in the schools and in life
Love this song it's a great message to people I still get picked on at school and all of my class has heard it and everyone in the whole 4th 5th grade had heard it where I live
"'Tis true my form is something odd, But blaming me is blaming God; Could I create myself anew I would not fail in pleasing you. The poem used by Joseph Merrick to end his letters, adapted from "False Greatness" by Isaac Watts. Thank You for posting this shining message! Bless you for having the moral fortitude not to soil it with an ad. Stay Strong, Will
I remember me and my friends used to have to listen to this song in middle school and we would always laugh at it and make fun of it constantly but now that I'm. In high and I'm more mature I really understand what it's saying
It sucks being bullied. But the worst part is becoming a bully. Because you tell yourself you'd never want to gain pleasure from other people's pain, but then you find yourself doing it. I've been quite the bully now, but I don't want to be a bully. I'm so sorry to everyone I've cause pain to. I guess its the sort of personality a person who's been bullied their whole life gains. I used to listen to this all the time.
our whole class sung this song and now the hole school does now!theres aactually no more bullies at our school HOORAY this song is very powerful it could touch someones heart so easily good song

i want to do brett dennen songs or this song for my 6th grade talent show, my 5th grade teacher had these kind of songs played while we worked which was enthusiatic, hopefully evryone will NOT be bullies!
I showed this song to my brother to my brother who is my biggest friend ever and he has autism. And he cried when I explained to him the song. Because people have done horrible things to him
my point is that no one should laugh at, or bully another person. but if someone does pick on you. don't cry about it. simply grow stronger until its your turn to laugh last!
To some people like teenage boys like me, they make fun of this song and think it's lame. But actually, this song is really meaningful and about a serious issue. I really like this song! :D
OMG I was taught this song in music a couple years ago I love this song I have the book and the C'D and I never thought that this many people would know about it
this song really touched my heart. I always get laughed at because I'm short and I am quiet. I felt sad yesterday and the teacher called on me and I just couldn't answer so everyone laughed at me. After that we had to read this book and the teacher said its in big print so people can read it and the person next to me said my name and laughed because I need glasses.
i remember when i was really little we sang this song for our heritage night assembly thing and i got so sick of this song cause we sang it every year for like 5 years but now i kind of wish people had listend to the song and actually learned something from it

It's because of you that the new generation will be bully aware! Thank you so much!

This song should be used in all schools to students and adults in getting them to understand students with special needs.

from school online classes
Me too...it's so unfair that some people are less fortunate, or have a mental disability, and get bullied because of that. I have ADHD, and bullies call me dumb, because I can't stay focused in class. One day, they will learn their lesson.
i actually did a drama presentation today with my class, and we all had to make tableaus for a different page i got so into it i started crying, this song is beautiful.
