I had no idea that dirty tricks like that are possible! Whoever in Benq made that downgrade plan is one hell of an a$$hole!
you really know your stuff my man and the way you present your reviews is top notch. also i really appriciate the best calibration information. though i think people should not stay away from the S just because of the lower brightness, it's still plenty bright. in many countries the S version is actually cheaper for some reason or the normal version is no longer available, so still a good deal if you ask me!
I just ordered mine for 229 usd (converted). Do you still think it still a good deal or no? The availability of the non-s version is very limited and I'm not even sure of the seller if it is a scam or not. The non-s version costed 88 usd more plus the cost of risk.
Well if you look at that, You commented on our concern about this new model on a previous comments just a few days ago and didn't expect you to where releasing a review soon. Thank you so much for this review. I seriously want to know if the "S" model with 165Hz is worth the price increase. Because It is hard to get the Original Mobiuz EX2510, non "S" model, here in our place anymore. Distributor / Supplier stating that it got replace with a "S" variant already and it cost more. Thank you as always for still reviewing newer 1080p monitors techless, More power to you!
I bought the original Mobiuz EX2510 a month ago. Be prepared to burn your eyes with this screen, it took me a month to get used to it from a TN... but now im happy with it and i got used to it. The first thing i did was remove the orange ribbon on stand. The screen itself is nice, didnt need much settings. I keep g-sync off because it feels weird. AMA 2 is best. It's a great gaming monitor and fantastic for movies. It also has really nice speakers!
Man should have gotten the original variant when it was release a year back. This "S" variant is about the same in performance but cost more. The 165Hz is not worth the cost and most people will barely notice the increase

I actually really like the HDR mode via the button, it made huge difference in far cry 6, deeper colours which made everything pop without being oversaturated or to vibrant.
Depends on the intesity of the ambient lighting, I reckon. I feel uncomfortable in a dimly lit room, hence a monitor's maximum brightness may be a legitimate concern for me.
This is the same story as the EX2710Q, it performs fine in the sRGB mode but still only manages average to bad results after being calibrated and profiled.. so weird.. Great review as always
I was really searching this monitor's review from this channel before I bought the S version since I had dilemma which to get and the S version not having much reviews and scarcity of the original, thereby its price bumped up by a good 30-40 dollars. As saddening it is that I bought the S version for the better price over the original, I guess the silver lining is that I'm coming from a good 7-8 years old Dell TN panel, so everything in the S model still looks gorgeous.
I'm glad I bought the EX2510 for ~190€ last year in November 😂 I really wanted a monitor with usable speakers and it absolutely fulfilled my needs. Looking forward to upgrade again in 6-7 years hopefully OLED/QD-OLED has more size options for monitors by then (I upgraded from a 2013 LCD TV to the EX2510 in first place)
Amazing video man. Such high quality content you deserve more subs for sure. Sucks that this monitor is a downgrade in most aspects. Unfortunately this is the only available monitor here in the PH alongside the ex2710. Would you still recommend this for both editing and gaming?
@@techlessYT well that's unfortunate. I guess I'll hunt for the old version or go with your other recommendations which is good since some of them are cheaper. Thanks for the info man. Keep it up!

Hello Techless! I would first like to congratulate you for your amazing work! Far the most subjective reviews and beside that everything that you are mentioning in the reviews make sense. I have just a question. I'm thinking about changing my AOC 24g2u (old panel) to a mobiuz ex2710s. I'm using my pc as a workstation (I also work in the video industry, mostly reviewing videos for my company) and casual gaming and also for movies and stuff. Would it be a downgrade or an upgrade if I change to Benq's monitor? I can find the ex2710s on sale at around 220 USD.
Thank for recomend settings, its really works fine!!! For gaming i use fps color mode because color is fine, visibility in dark scene is good, but its only for game. Other else your recomend settings is better and more natural color. Thanks!
Ok i figured out why your settings showed a gray panel, you forgot to add the Color Vibrance in recommended settings, it was on 0 by defualt which caused a grayed out screen. value 9 to 11 is best.
Hi! For someone who plays only on a Nintendo Switch, and watches movies, which would you recommend? ASUS VP249QGR (265$) Gigabyte G2F (295$) LG24GN600-B (270$) MSI G241 (255$) MSI G242 (255$) btw, thanks for the great content, love your professionalism and all the effort you put into the channel!
I would have suspected this coming from BENQ the brightness downgrade by over 100 nits is far too much. Thank you so much for this review, almost lost me some money. Also, you said you were curious as to why BENQ decided to reduce the brightness, It's clearly just cheaper for them to have the "new" panels produced.
I have both and tried different settings by eye, trying to emulate my tv which is calibrated with calman. On ex2510s reds are more red, while on ex2510 they are a bit orange, hard to tell without having comparison on the side, white point looks better on ex2510 and the new one lose a bit of detail in certain areas that looks a bit saturated on bright colors. Having better red is great, but as I was one year with the other screen, I'm not sure if I prefer this new one since it burns some colors even I touched the gamma and brightness.
The EX2510 is now unavailable everywhere basically. So, now I have to get the EX2510S. It's odd in your testing it's worse because if you ask the benq themselves they said the only difference is the refresh.
Great Review...but I am actually doubtful of the verdict because the S version have a sharpness option which isn't in the Non-s version (the one I have) so maybe they made these sacrifices to enable the sharpness attribute... I also got a problem when hooking the monitor to my laptop that sound is delayed only in the beginning of playin any media so any suggestion is welcome other than that I am lucky that I got the Non-s version, thanks GOD

Can't find the first version anywhere close to me or amazon 😮💨 So i just need a second monitor to game on it , i cant decide between the Mobiuz EX2510S and Gigabyte 24f , both same price.
Hi. I have purchased MSI G241 last week and I think I don't really like the reds being so saturates, it looks weird + no SRGB. I ordered this one today, hope it will satisfy my needs. I previously used my laptop's screen 144hz 1 ms which has sRGB and I got used to that mode.

Damn... The colour performance downgrade is the most disappointing of all. I'll have to take an OCD level of caution next time.
Bro which display port should i get for this monitor... Any suggestions...i dont know much about display ports...so can u provide me some links of good dp's for this monitor... That supports 1080p 165hz and has gsync...

Hey man i am considering buying a 1080p 144hz monitor so ive watched all of your reviews but i still cant decide which monitor to buy. The asus and Benq monitor are more expensive in my region than the LG GN650 and MSI G241. They almost cost 70 to 80 usd more in my region. I was considering buying the LG but then i saw your video that it has a really low contrast ratio so i dropped it and considered buying the MSI but in my region there is a monitor Acer 240ys which is quite popular too for almost same price. That's disappointing. Maybe if BenQ were selling the EX2510S at a lower price point, I could see why they'd release this. As it currently is, it just seems like BenQ just wants to cut costs and quietly release a similar but worse monitor, and hope no one notices.
Similar with what AOC did with AOC 24G2. It was highly recommended by many YT-ber like HUB and Techless but after a while they quietly replace the panel of it model and after getting caught they release a new model that is 24G2E which using the new panel and they remove the original stand that had height adjustment and pivot, it was only capable of tilt now. Not long after they release a 24G2SE which is a 165hz variant but still the same tilt only stand but cost more. How i wish i bought the original EX2510 model before they discontinue / EOL it
Hi, I'm choosing between the Samsung Odyssey G3 Monitor and MSI Pro MP242P. I need it for programming, as I'm a mobile developer, and content consumption on youtube and watching movies. In your opinion and experience which one should I get? Thanks.
It's not good to apply icc profile from one of another batch. If you don't have color sensor it's better to calibrate white point with your eyes and then gamma.
Any thoughts on the EX270M, the 240HZ 1080p one? It's currently selling for $300. I'm looking for a fast 240hz 27in 1080p monitor for overwatch and similar games. I've never owned an IPS monitor, so I'm curious if an IPS panel at 240hz would introduce lag or latency. Thanks
thanks for the review comparison. I bought the S version because it's 100 euro cheaper than the non S. Less brightness doesn't bother me. The sharpness option and higher 165 refresh rate are a good upgrade.

Thank you for your reviews, could you please test the MSI Optix MAG245R as well?
There is a big upgrade. Older version is 6 bits +FRC the newer version is true 8 bits.
isn’t it the opposite?
Can't find the first version anywhere close to me or amazon 😮💨
So i just need a second monitor to game on it , i cant decide between the Mobiuz EX2510S and Gigabyte 24f , both same price.
me too
i wish you had a full video on the EX2710Q
Hi. I have purchased MSI G241 last week and I think I don't really like the reds being so saturates, it looks weird + no SRGB. I ordered this one today, hope it will satisfy my needs. I previously used my laptop's screen 144hz 1 ms which has sRGB and I got used to that mode.
Which one do you find better ex2510s vs g241 for entertainment
@@ashadhatrak7941 Well I said pass on 1080p and went for 2k resolution as it's really a big jump. I bought lg 27gp850 after taking into account the good reviews it has.
this is definitely a good buy right now on amazon us for $159
Should i buy this monitor or buy LG 24GN650-B ?
Same doubt
hey, not sure if you're still checking comments on here, but do you remember where you got the wallpaper in the video from? thanks
Damn... I think it's been about a month or two since I bought it, maybe if I looked around I might've been able to find the original version, though it was already scarce at the time, but I thought they used the same panel. The colour performance downgrade is the most disappointing of all. I'll have to take an OCD level of caution next time.
Is the Benq xl2411k or this mobiuz ex2510s better for console gaming old and new gen. Please reply need to make a decision asap.
Bro which display port should i get for this monitor... Any suggestions...i dont know much about display ports...so can u provide me some links of good dp's for this monitor... That supports 1080p 165hz and has gsync...
Fortunately, I saw it in time. Second-hand 2510 is a good choice
Are they really that different to the naked eye (after using the update settings on the S model)?
We have tried your recommended settings and everything is completely gray. We tried it twice to make sure everything is set. are you sure your settings are displayed correctly? Ill go back to SRGB for now. and yes we do use the S model.
So Mobiuz EX2510S is really better than TUF Gaming VG259QR right?
pls make a video of Top Monitors for Q1 2022. I really need such a video, i can't choose :(((
is the difference big? my place only have the ex2510s..i sold my msi 241 cause it was too bright for my eyes :(
can you review whick monitor panel has prone to dead pixels and stucked ones? & which brand has the most pixel issues?
Ex2510 is not available in my region should I still go for ex2510s?
hope you review more ultrawide monitor. do you think xiaomi 34 ultrawide still worth it in 2022?
Hey man i am considering buying a 1080p 144hz monitor so ive watched all of your reviews but i still cant decide which monitor to buy.
The asus and Benq monitor are more expensive in my region than the LG GN650 and MSI G241. They almost cost 70 to 80 usd more in my region.
I was considering buying the LG but then i saw your video that it has a really low contrast ratio so i dropped it and considered buying the MSI but in my region there is a monitor Acer 240ys which is quite popular too for almost same price. Can you tell which monitor should i get.
Do you buy any monitor
I also wanted to buy lg but dropped it
@@darks32106 msi g241

@@darks32106 yes i think but dont get the S version gey the regular one
@@heltrev4949 for 80 less doller i could get gigabyte g24f contaxt ratio is also same
And for 100 doller less msi g241
Will that be good choose?
I dont seeing any particular resion to get mobius
I would do graphics designs and editing also some gaming
Whats your suggestion
Its Mobin time!
What are recommended settings for sRGB mode? Should I change Contrast from default 50 to 52 for sRGB mode too? I suppose that I should change AMA to 2 in every mode.
should i grab the ex2510s for my ps5 or benq xl2411k? btw im playing on ps5, and for 60hz games i’d like the latency to be around 10ish, what monitor should i buy?
Could you review a 27" version of this monitor?
hi what do you suggest between Asus VG259QR and EX2510S? i've been trying to search for non S version of it and i can't find in my country so just want to ask for help thank you
Is the S version still good enough for gaming? I have 60 hz monitor right now. The non-s monitor is not on the market in my country.
60hz yea it’s still good it also got blood built in speakers too
@techless...I am in a fix... considering msi optix g241 or benq ex2510s or asus tuf v249qr
How i wish i bought the original EX2510 model before they discontinue / EOL it
@techless Are the speakers same in both the monitors?
Hi,
I'm choosing between the Samsung Odyssey G3 Monitor and MSI Pro MP242P.
I need it for programming, as I'm a mobile developer, and content consumption on youtube and watching movies.
In your opinion and experience which one should I get?
Thanks.
Would you choose this or the AOC24G2U for cod competitive gaming on ps5?
Its motion blur is almost same as xl2411k. SO does this monitor beat xl2411k for competitive gaming??
After doing the recommended settings + icc profile my monitor got yellowish? I also applied the monitors drivers from their website.
The EX2510S is a bit too blue out of the box, so it's expected that it looks slightly more yellow after applying those settings.
@@techlessYT so its a normal look? I should just get my eyes used to it?
Same thing
HP X34 next, please?
Why u call the blur reduction as backlight strobing ? u also say the technical process for other things like car driving ? is it then fuel burning at internal combustion engine :D
Well, yeah I actually do. I'm German and I'm an engineer, so of course I do 🙂
Hi, can you do a review of ex240 and tell us the panel version?
Yes 🙂
