Glad you like the video! She just turned 6 and is half way through foundations C and almost can read all kids books now even from the library. I often find her at night sounding out books I've never read to her so we still like the program! By the end of the 3rd foundations book the child has learned all the sounds necessary for reading which is pretty great~
About the no dotted lines for kids to practice with the handwriting, I have wrote the letter in highlighter for my son to trace. Having some dotted practice letters is a great idea though!
That is a great idea! I'm starting foundations A for my almost 4 year old now and I'm going to try that and see how it works!

I didn't ever get it. We just used a different game like speed reading the flash cards and timing it or playing go fish with the tiles where I'd just pull out 2 of each sound we'd learned and deal them out. It probably would be fun but I didn't feel the need for it.
